I bought this as a treat for myself, since I had heard such good things about it from so many people. As a treat, it is not so bad, but for a regular lip balm it is lacking. For my lips it turns to a very light fuchsia, almost just pink color (think taking fuchsia and turning the hue down). It is a MLBB color for me, so at least I wasn't disappointed with a color that was too strong. On the other hand though, I wish it was a little stronger so that I could at least think of it as a balm-lip stick, and give it a higher rating as a two-in-one product.
The tube itself is nice, but I did find the lid to be a little loose on the tube itself. I haven't had any problems with the lid coming off when I didn't want it to, but it does make me a little weary. The semi-transparent cap is a nice touch.
The amount of product of this balm is almost identical to ChapStick (ChapStick being .15oz, this being .12oz.). This isn't a large difference, but when price is factored in, it makes this balm seem like a very poor deal. It moisturizes as much as ChapStick, it stays on as long as ChapStick, but there is less product, and a $25 difference when compared to ChapStick. If I'm going to spend that much on a balm I would much rather choose Fresh lip treatment, or go with something cheaper and get C.O.Bigelow Mentha lip shines.
I like this product enough that I will not return the two tubes that I bought. If given this as a treat I will be happy, but this will remain as just a treat, and I will not be purchasing more in the future.
I'm not sure how I feel about this product. Being a sucker for those magical lipsticks that would turn colors on your lips as a kid, I couldn't pass this one up, especially as it was recommended to me by a friend. Well, just like the "mood" lipsticks of my childhood, this one is a let down. It turns a very pretty shade of pink on my lips, but it's too cool for my skintone and I'm having trouble really liking it. However, it feels very good on, is nice and moisturizing and has a nice texture that feels great. So, I dunno. I probably wouldn't purchase it again, but it will get used as a tinted lip balm and live in my purse until it is gone.
I like this balm as the color turns out very pretty and natural on me. As everyone else has said, the packaging is very cute, but the price coupled with the staying power are definite drawbacks. My natural lip color is rather blah, so I'm always on the lookout for something that will enhance my natural lip color without looking clownish. This does kick up my lip color a bit but I really have to layer it on to get a good effect. As far as moisturizing, I don't really see all that much. I still have to use my Philosophy Kiss Me lip scrub and Philosophy Kiss Me Tonight balm.
The staying power is almost non-existent. I found myself reapplying it after about thirty minutes just to get the look I got after initially applying it several times (this without eating or drinking anything). I think the only way I would buy this again is if Christian Dior decided to slash the price dramatically. $30.00 (give or take a few bucks) is just far too much for faintly colored lip balm that doesn't moisturize or stay on very long.
Edit to add: I stopped using this because it started getting crumbly and breaking off. Now it just sits in my drawer collecting dust.
I love this product. I would say that this is my HG lip gloss. It is a very unique product, that feels so good on my lips. It really does develop into a nice custom flattering color. The only disclaimer that I would say about this product is that it can turn your lips into a hot pink color if you over apply, and trust me the texture of this product on lips is addicting. I did shell out $30 for this lip balm. Which is alot, but I believe it's worth it. It is very healing, moisturizing & flattering. I can feel the difference in the suppleness and softness of my lips with using this product daily. The effects are still very noticeable even when I went on a few days without wearing it. Definitely a must-have in my purse.
I love it! Super elegant, nice formula, more like a lipgloss!
Its really mosturizing and smell..like candy cane. Im in love with this. It has a hint of color, really enfazise the natural color of the lips. Im in love with the pacaking too, baby pink and silver, totally recomended.
My mom says its like a "fancy carmex" haha.
Pros: The packaging is super cute and pretty, with a full-length cap that's shimmery pink and see-through. It is in bullet form instead of in a jar, which I appreciate because it's more hygienic and convenient than tubs.
Cons: This is called "Dior Addict Colour Awakening Lipbalm", but to be honest, it's really a stick lip gloss. This product isn't so much a "treatment" like it is listed here than a lip gloss. It wasn't moisturising at ALL and it accentuated the flakes on my lips. I think it made my lips drier. It looks like a nice sheer pink on the stick when you first apply it, but after a few minutes it turned my lips a bright pinkish-red, which was obvious even on my already very pigmented lips. It looked garish.
If you aren't looking for a lip balm and just want a bright non-messy lip gloss with pretty lipstick packaging, this may be for you. I won't be repurchasing as it is useless to me.
i am obsessed with this. i think the color really must vary on people. this gives me a brighter MLBB shade and the color lasts after the balm wears off. it feels SOOOOO good on lips, i'm nearly out of mine bc i keep slathering it on compulsively. would definitely recommend this, but prob would try it on in sephora first to make sure you the color doesnt go wonky on you.
Oh no Dior. This felt nice but turned my lips hot pink, a total unnatural, unflattering bright electric pink color (80's). NEVER again. Not sure if it's Dior's product or just reaction with my naturally tinted lips but definitely no good for me.
Loove looove this balm, it is not sticky or gooey and it gives me an amazing color on my lips. I'm a big fan of light pink glosses so this is perfect for me because it's not a lipstick so it looks very natural and I can wear it on the go. Price is a little steep for something that is similar to a chapstick but I am willing to pay the price for something I love.
I like it a lot but not as much to re-purchase it. It truly moisturizes my lips and it enhances my natural lips color (turned my lips red not pink and I am NC25 - NC30) with a lip-gloss type of sheen.
Bottom line, it is too expensive for what it does. Most importantly, it uses up REALLY quick. For a week after using it ONCE a day, it is half way done, and I'm like ... @#$@*&
