Age: 25-29 Skin: Combination, Fair, Neutral Hair: Brunette, Other, Medium Eyes: Blue

About me: NW10-15 (neutral-cool toned, very fair), blue eyes, Color season is True Summer, Baumann Skin Type is OSPW.

Having tried a number of high end foundations (MAC Beauty Balm, MAC Studio Sculpt, MAC Studio Fix Fluid, MAC Mineralize Cream, MAC Studio Tech Cream, MUFE Mat Velvet, BE Original, MUFE HD, DiorSkin Extreme Wear, Bobbi Brown Skin liquid and cream compact), and drug store foundations (Meow Mineral, Revlon Colorstay, Revlon PhotoReady liquid and compact, Cover Girl Simply Ageless, L’Oreal True Match liquid and cream compact, EDM, Alima Mineral), this foundation stands out in a positive way.

I have combination skin, and don't like to have too many layers (moisturizer, sunscreen, primer, foundation) on my face, so I love it when my primer/foundation combinations accomplish these goals:
1) Sophisticated Formula: a light-weight formula that feels nice on my face and isn’t cakey, oily, or highlighting dry patches;
2) Adjustable Coverage: a light-to-medium coverage foundation that can be built up enough to cover under eye circles and acne scarring (eliminates the need for concealer);
3) Low Maintenance: has enough oil-control for my T-zone, lasts throughout the day without the need for serious touch ups, and doesn’t transfer;
4) Ideal Color: product line has a shade that is as close to a perfect color match on my skin as possible;
5) Skin Care: cannot break me out or change my skin condition (make more dry/oily) over weeks of continual wear.
6) Thoughtful Packaging: packaging cannot be difficult to travel with, create a mess on my counter, or be wasteful of the product.
*Bonus points for high levels of sunscreen.

How did this foundation measure up?
1) Sophisticated Formula: (YES) I really liked how light this formula felt on my face and how it did not emphasize any flaws.
2) Adjustable Coverage: (NO) I was disappointed in how low-coverage this foundation seemed. I tried to build it up on my acne spots, but ended up having to use concealer : (
3) Low Maintenance: (NO) Oil was controlled, but the foundation faded and rubbed off very easily. Tried various primers including the MUFE HD Primer, setting it with powder, but still transferred and faded.
4) Ideal Color: (YES) I found a great match with #115.
5) Skin Care: (N/A) Only had a sample, didn’t break me out or seem to clog my pores, but I only wore for 3 days. It usually takes me about 2 months to see if a foundation is having a true effect on my skin.
6) Thoughtful Packaging: (YES) I like the packaging.
*Sunscreen: I don’t think so…

Bottom Line: I would not repurchase for myself nor would I recommend this foundation to others. Yes, the formula is lovely and they have a wide range of shades. But having low coverage and not very much longevity in daily wear is just not acceptable for a foundation of this price. So disappointed to find a color match and not have liked the foundation for other reasons!

Great product...absolutely love! I only use this when I go out to special events so I do not have the breakout problems like others. Definitely a must have when a camera is involved.

This is not good for oily skin. Even with the microfinish powder on top, it slides right off! I am so disappointed with this. I believe it would be gorgeous on dry/normal skin though!

The packaging is amazing! It has a pump, ya'll!

I wouldn't buy this again, unfortunately!

This review goes for the very acne-prone gals. If you don't have sensitive skin disregard, because it is a nice foundation. Overall this foundation is great, but I would never repurchase because it BREAKS me out horribly; within a matter of hours, I have acne flourishing up. I hear that it doesn't break everyone out, so you may want to sample it before you actually purchase it. I have a full bottle left and a face full of zits. It has ingredients in it that many acne prone people may have a reaction to, ingredient just slipped my mind. It is an oil free formula but as we know that doesn't necessarily mean that it will not break us out. Other foundations do work for me; I would suggest you save your money if you have very sensitive skin.
My skin is oily and acne prone.
Pros about foundation:
Great color selection
Natural-Looks like skin
lasting power is average
Not heavy feeling

So, I finally decided to try the hyped up Makeup forever Hd foundation and I must say its my new HG foundation! I was matched to 117 in this foundation (I got matched at sephora) and I was kind of skeptical beings I always get matched quite a bit darker even though I'm very light. I was very wrong, it matched perfect ive never had a foundation that blended so well before! I litterly couldnt stop looking at my skin all day it looked unreal,almost like Porecelian. It evened out my skin tone and took out the redness and honestly it didn't look like I had on any makeup. It was so natural! There's only 3 things I didn't like About this product, #1 the price was a little steep (although worth it) #2 the bottle I think should've given me more bang for my buck beings it was kind of on the small side and #3 although it did cover mostly all of my imperfections and stayed all day, I find my self needing a light concealer on days when I'm broke out. With that said I do love this product and I most defininitly buy it again and again!

I don't understand all the hype with this product. The packaging is great, but the product itself sank into every fine line and pore on my face and made them SO noticeable. I'm in my mid-20s, chemically exfoliate every day, wear sunscreen every day, have normal-combo skin, I moisturize AM and PM, so there should be no reason for me to have noticeable lines. I used the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to lightly apply this foundation and it didn't even sink into my skin. It just sat on top and accentuated every fine line and pore. At first I thought it was maybe the way I applied it, so I tried it a second time the next day. I used my fingers instead and it ended up looking the same way on my face. I'm not sure how other people got this foundation to look good on them, but if I'm doing something wrong, please PM me.

This is an amazing foundation. I apply it with fingers, no need to use sponge or brush. reccomend using a primer, the primer i noticed to work best is Laura Mercier- hydrating primer. This primer works better than the make up forever HD Primer!! This product does not cause you to break out or dry your skin. This is really an exceptional foundation. I have tried countless luxury foundations and I believe this is the best especially for the price!!
note- you can use a setting powder- but do not reccommend a compact to set make up. I use Laura Mercier Setting powder- its translucent.

Horrible!!! Don't buy into they hype. I have been on the hunt for a liquid foundation that provides a more natural coverage but still covers up imperfections. I thought MUFE would do the trick. Wrong! It provided little to NO coverage, and if you happen to touch your face (or God forbid blow your nose) the makeup will come straight off. I have combo skin and within 2 hours the makeup was an oil slick. Not to mention it was starting to become blotchy and worn off in certain areas of my face. I tried using the MUFE primer AND the MUFE hd powder and none of this seemed to help. On top of all of this, after a few weeks of trying to make this foundation work I ended up breaking out horribly. I am prone to breakouts, but this caused me to get those awful under the skin pimples...so there is definitely some ingredient in this that is unsafe for us blemish prone girls!

Basically, if you have no imperfections to cover (so if you have a FLAWLESS face to begin with), have super dry skin, and don't ever break out....then this may be the foundation for you. I wanted to like it, but had to return it sadly.

Bought this from Sephora during the VIB 20% off sale and..... disappointed. The color selection is good. I like that they have a wide range. I'm of olive, medium skinetone. I have some yellowness as opposed to cool neutral or warm tones. I got it in #123. MUFE did an OK job of matching it. However, the foundation gives my skin a yellowish, greyish cast that doesn't look healthy. Makes me look kind of sick. Also, what I didnt like about this foundation was that it sinks into my pores and lines (I'm 23..... so.... I dont have a whole lot of "lines" or wrinkles). It also made my combo skin look like a freaking Gulf oil spill by the end of the day, and the formula didnt last on my face. I like to test foundations without primers so that I can see how good they are and how they really perform and I must say I wasn't very happy with how the MUFE HD foundation performed. Especially considering the price tag which is pretty exorbitant. I dont mind shelling out my cash if the product is good but.... this wasn't impressive at all. It didnt seem/perform like a high end foundation. I have since tried out Urban Decay's Naked Skin foundation (shade 5) and so far I'm loving it. very light on the skin, airbrushed looking even when applied with fingers, built in primer, anti aging ingredients, illuminating, true color match. AND it's cheaper than this MUFE hd foundation, which doesnt contain any SPF, "good for skin" ingredients, primer, illuminator, nothing. So I switched. if the MUFE foundation left you disappointed, i recommend trying urban decay's naked foundation.

I was searching for the perfect foundation for probably 15 yrs before I found this one. I tried drug store, BB, Clinique, Dior, MAC, pretty much everything and always found something wrong with them. I tried this one a couple years ago and loved everything about it. Great color match, lightweight on my skin, and definitely made my skin look flawless and doesn't cause me to break out.. Even my mom noticed and complimented me on my skin. HG for me!
