I was shown by a Sephora rep to mix this with the Poreless Primer and the Hello Flawless powder on top and it held for 8 sweaty hours! Color me surprised! I also didn't break out from using these products!
I will most likely repurchase.
I won't go into product description overload, as that gal has been described nicely already. I will mention that it works on my nw20 skintone, and I've used it on MANY women, and it is surprisingly their most popular product (or it was a year ago anyway..you'd think it'd be benetint or lemonaid, right?) I digress. "primer" is a bit of a misnomer--it's best for women who already have fairly nice skin, or younger girls who don't need foundation but reallyyy want to wear it. It's obviously overpriced--the packaging is outlandish, ineffective, gaudy, and prohibitive. The product itself is unique enough that I consider it worth the purchase.
Of note: I haven't noticed any reviews mentioning the EXCESSIVE amount of product that remains in the bottle if you take the stupid cap off (UDPP much, benefit?) I definitely threw away one bottle of that gal before it dawned on me to check, and I'm pretty sure most of the product remains after it seems empty, so it's not quite as overpriced as it seems if you haven't bothered to crack it open fully. HTH
I was hoping to like this but it just didn't work for me. It does nothing for my skin and doesn't seem to have any noticeable effect in extending the length of time my foundation stayed put. It may have added a vague sheen but, for myself at least, it wasn't noticeable, and certainly not worth the amount it sells for. I usually love benefit products, but I wouldn't buy this again.
Good: Does not break my sensitive skin out. Help makeup stays longer. But just a bit longer
Bad: Burns my face as if it is on fire. My redness doesn't need the xtra pigmented pink that is supposed to make me glow.
I'd rather not use primer unless I'm going on photoshoot and if so I'll use a different brand.
I like this product mixed in with my foundation, which creates a sort of shiny, tinted moisturizer effect. I have never worn it alone as I need something to even out my skin tone and dark circles under my eyes a little more than this product can do on it's own. Benefit makes a great product though, and in the summer I find I use it more since the 'shiny, beachy, fresh-faced' effect can be pulled off a little easier than in the winter. I got this as a sample, and I'm almost out of it. While I enjoyed the product, I won't be spending the money to purchase it again.
This is a good product, It smells lovely and it has a pretty sheen. I do believe this is a primer, And i'm not really sure if it keeps foundation on longer, It feels like more of a prep for the skin not a prime, Like something you would put on your skin to make it look nice. I don't know i just think that this product isn't what it say's. I do like it and i will use it but maybe next time this wont be my primer.
I totally love all Benefit products. I bought this because I have very fair skin that tends to look washed-out and dull in the winter. I'm also acne-prone so am sometimes a little blotchy. This product works fantastic for my skin- makes me look dewy and fresh whether worn alone or under foundation (I have yet to try it under tinted moisturizer). I think a big reason why it works so well for me is that I'm pink- majority of people have yellow undertones to their skin but my undertones are all pink. It makes it hard for me to find foundation because even the lightest ivory ones are too yellow for me. But the nice pink glow of this works perfect for my skin tone.
Like other reviewers have said this is NOT a heavy-duty primer like Smashbox Photo Finish. Although i bet if you have decent skin and wore this over the photo finish, it would work well.
This was just ok for me. Its a pleasant product to use and smells good. In terms of being a primer I would say certainly not under cream or liquid. Not bad as a highlight if you want something very subtle. I wouldn't personally use this on its own as I like a bit of coverage but it does add a certain amount of radiance to the skin. Not an awful lot of product for the money though which is my main gripe. I do like a lot of Benefit products but this isn't the best of them for me personally. There are better products out there for the job I wanted it to do.
My first primer purchase. Was it worth the CAD$34 I had to spend on it when I went to Sephora? YES. Let me tell you why:
-Glides on easily to the skin.
-No clumping or flaking.
-Pinkish tint gives a natural finish.
-Leaves you with a dewy glow.
-Can be applied under make up or without.
-Twist applicator is quick and efficient.
-Cutest packaging ever. (Looks like a flippin' glue stick)
-Just the right size to take ANYwhere.
-Sinks into skin instead of floating on the surface.
-Holds make up for more than 8 hours. (From personal experience)
-Smells delish. Sort of like strawberries.
-Small see-through plastic lid under "real" lid prevents leaking of product.
-Don't need too much product to cover face.
Wow, if I said that aloud, I would be breathless.
"That Gal" retails for USD$28 and CAD$34, but based on Canadian exchange rate as of today, Canucks can purchase it for CAD$27.66 down south.
Wonderrrrrrrrrful. Love it. Want to buy it again but am too poor too. Hahaha. Just got to save up then.
This is such a useless product to me, it does nothing. Thankfully I got it in the Confessions of a Concealaholic palette so I didn't splurge on nothing.
It's not even a primer, it does nothing of keeping your foundation on all day and it feels very heavy on the face. The color is just awful and it smells funny. I tried it as a blush because of the pinkish color, and it didn't show up at all. I'm not much of a highlighter-person, but I tried it for that, too, and it still wouldn't show up.
A wet, pink cream is basically all this is.
