This is such a useless product to me, it does nothing. Thankfully I got it in the Confessions of a Concealaholic palette so I didn't splurge on nothing.
It's not even a primer, it does nothing of keeping your foundation on all day and it feels very heavy on the face. The color is just awful and it smells funny. I tried it as a blush because of the pinkish color, and it didn't show up at all. I'm not much of a highlighter-person, but I tried it for that, too, and it still wouldn't show up.
A wet, pink cream is basically all this is.
Very useless product in a funny package. It does not do anything: does not give the real "glow" to skin, does not help the make up to stay longer.
I use this not as a primer, but on top of my cheeks and brow bone for a sublte glow. I've mixed it with foundation to add an iridescence, dewy look.
This claims to work at a primer before foundation and to brighten the face. Unfortunatly it does none of these things well enough to justify the price i payed for it! I would not purchase this product again as i am sure there are better alternatives out there ( virgin vie's primer is my new fave) . The packaging is annoying as it is difficult to know when the product is nearly finished, I dont think the product was any lighter when it was finished compared to when i bought it so i felt really ripped off when it suddenly died on me! Save your pennies girlies!
I think the one thing you have to remember about "That Gal" is that in order for you to be happy with it, you need to treat it like an individual product- not like primer.
I don't normally use primer so I can't review it in such a sense (although I did hate having it under my "You Rebel" tinted moisturizer as it just made it greasy) however, I can review it as a face brightener.
I put half a pea sized dollop on both my cheeks and rub it into my cheekbones and just below. The results are undeniable; it helps even my complexion, add a glow and I might even go so far as to hint towards it reduces the oily shine I sometimes get.
It works until about the late afternoon but if you blush after that, it still helps control the redness which is nice. I wouldn't reapply though as the reapplication can be a bit shiny. Best applied on a fresh face after moisturizer.
This is a primer that claims to bighten your skin but it has not worked for me. I tried using it as a foundation primer but it didn't work for that either. So I wear it as a moisturizer under my foundation primer. It adds another layer of moisture, in addition to my regular moisturizer, to my really dry skin. I have 3 of these in the deluxe sample size that I've gotten in various sets. I'm glad that I never actually bought this because I feel that it is a waste I of money. It really doesn't do anything for me. The only thing that I really like about this product is the scent: it smells like strawberries. I would never buy this product.
I would buy several, just to make sure I won't run out (ever) of it :) Yesterday I tried it, and it did just the thing I expected it to do. It made my skin look babyish/angelic, rosy-white, poreless, and when I set it with powder, without greasy glow, but just the healthy one. I'm thrilled with it!
I looove this primer! it makes my pores look invisible, and makes my skin look more even and glowy. That is pretty much all I would want out of a primer. It smells nice and the packaging is a little weird, but it's easy to use. I just squeeze up and apply with my finger. It's nice in that it doesn't waste any product, because even if you squeeze too much up through the holes, you can still replace the clear cap and then the big white cap, and the product will be there for your next application. I will keep buying this as long as they make it!
I am quite disappointed in this product, I love the idea of wearing a primer and have used a couple of good ones namely YSL's Top Secrets and Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot which are excellent. I am not sure why I decided to deviate from what I knew was tried and tested, perhaps it was the packaging of BeneFit products which I have to say is a big tick for the brand.
I didnt really notice any difference to a with or without foundation look, I tried different ways to apply with and without a brush but I didnt really see how it looked different or lasted longer. However, like anything if you use a brush you will get a lot more use of the product.
The other thing that I found particularly annoying was 1) how you dont know how much product is left, 2) you have to twist quite a bit to initially get the product and 3) I am not sure you get much product for what you pay. I kind of felt a bit short changed on this and think there is probably a bit more hype on this because I didnt experience it as this great primer product.
This is a make up staple for me!
First of all i love the twisty packaging!! This primer does keep my make up on ALL day long, but also looks amazing with out make up to make the skin look dewy and healthy. It keeps my face soft and radiant - a definite multi use products that i would recommend.
