I have oily skin and moderate acne, pretty bad acne scars, and the worst dark under eye circles I've ever seen. This covers all of the imperfections without concealer (I hate using concealer). I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin. I used to use revlon colorstay for oily/combination skin and I like cover girl 3 in 1 soo much better! I noticed that it does oxidize on my skin so I had to switch to a lighter shade.
So far I'm really liking this product...I find that most foundations tend to make my skin appear shiney / oily after a while of wear however this one seems to maintain a matte powder-like finish
I am on my second bottle which is pretty huge for me.
I first purchased it in March when I was far fairer...in Buff Beige. It sadly oxidized on me. That said, I adored the formula, kinda crazy as I stick to powder foundation (Palladio!!!) and high end liquids for my oily/sensitive skin (LORAC, MUFE). I didn't even like the famed and much beloved Colorstay Liquid (though I am in love with the whipped creamy formula in the jar!) Summer rolled around, I spent time in Santa Monica on the beach and needed a darker shade so I picked up the Buff Beige again and it's perfect.
This stuff comes in a nice glass bottle with a nifty pump, very sanitary. It smooths on fairly well, I just use my fingers...not a fan of using a foundation brush unless for cream foundations. It does require careful and thorough blending, especially around the eyes/nose/mouth as it can cake up. It leaves a nice natural/slightly matte finish and offers great coverage and yup, I can certainly forgo concealer with this. I love how it lasts all day and I SWEAT *a lot* due to health issues. It just needs touching up with a few swipes of powder (I use Revlon Colorstay in Fair).
Am I the only one who think this foundation is overrated???
-It have a pump AND you can lock it so it is travel friendly.
-CAKEY, CAKEY, CAKEY
-I have combo skin... with this I look like I put butter all over my face!!!
-Apparently all the shades have a slight pinky tone so as most drugstore foundations, agggg, COME ON!!!
-It oxidizes like crazy!!!
Im very sad, I wanted to love it so much.
I bought this because I was looking for a foundation that would withstand my oily face. Let me just say...THIS STUFF IS THE BOMB!! Its so easy to blend. As for the finish, it's not really dewy but it's also not freakishly matte...it's sorta inbetween. On the lasting power... this holds up on my oily skin almost all day :'). I'd pay 10 dollars for this any day.
I use this foundation in shade Golden Tan and I love it! Has great yellow undertones. Great coverage but with a light weight feel. It also doesn't break me out at all! My skin looks better then ever using this foundation. and it has a pump!!!! Love it
I am also loving this foundation. Play around with it. I have large pores on my nose and this helped fill them in and then I dust some bare minerals ( or any finishing powder) on my nose which also helps diminish them. I use it all over even my eyes and blend into my neck. Covers any age/sun spots without looking cakey. I do use a little moisturizer where I need it about 5 - 10 minutes ahead before I apply it.
I love this foundation ! It has a very good coverage and it last for the whole day. It is matte and I love the pumping packaging. It is great for combination skin. I also use it sometimes as a concealer because the coverage is so awesome ! Love this product !
I have been using this for a month now and I love it! It's full coverage but it doesn't feel like it's heavy or anything like that. They had a good selection of shades to choose from - and luckily one in mine! I bought it at walmart where it was a little less that $10 dollars but have seen it elsewhere for $13 so it can be a little pricey for drugstore foundation. But personally, I think it's totally worth it!
This foundation is only okay. I've found that it tends to look a little cakey, even when you only use a little bit. The great thing about it though is that it's great for covering redness, and I really do like that about it. The color is good and it's blends easily, so overall it's a pretty good product. The pump can make it a little bit harder to get the right amount of product, but it's a lot cleaner that using a regular bottle where you pour it out.
