This is such a great brush for the price. After 15+ washes it has retained its original shape and looks exactly how it did when I bought it. Like another reviewer said, this brush (along with all of the other Real Techniques brushes I have) have not shed one hair throughout continuous use and washing. This brush is great for picking up color and diffusing it on to the cheekbones - it blends without you having to do any of the work!
I have been using this brush every day since I bought it two months ago because I just can't go back to using anything else. I've washed it many times and it still looks exactly as it did in the store, I don't think one bristle has fallen out. It's very soft, it has a nice shape and a slightly pointed tip which makes application more precise. It can stand on its own which might bother some people but I'm okay with it. Considering the high quality and how affordable it is I think it's more than worth having it in your collection.
This is a very nice brush that could be used for more than just blush. It'd be great with regular powder too. Nice and soft but not so soft it won't blend color nicely. The shape of it is gorgeous!
I wanted this brush for a while now but it was always sold out when I looked for it or I just figured I didn't need it. I finally got it and I was initially disappointed when I opened it because it felt different than expected. It felt cheaper or more plastic than other brushes that looked similar or used similar bristles, but I was wrong. No other blush brush I have used performs or feels the same way on my face. It is gentle but not annoyingly and pointlessly too soft. The shape applies brush extraordinarily well, applying it and blending it without wiping it off. I like it better than my MAC brushes (129, 182, 165, 109) for blush application and would repurchase.
UPDATE: I washed the brush for the second time and experienced A LOT of shedding. Not just a few strands, but a few chunks. I am always very careful about how I wash and dry my brushes because I know water in the ferrule of the brush is harmful, so I think it is definitely the brush. I still love it and am going to assume that I got a defective one, but it is important to note just in case others are experiencing this too.
This is now my go to blush brush. I love love love it... it's very soft, kind of on the larger side but since it does come to a bit of a point I don't find this to be a problem. I am a big blush person so I was thrilled as to how well this applied. It seems to be good quality and holds up well with regular use and washing. The only issue I have is that if you have a smaller sized blush (think CG cheekers...) it's more difficult to use, but I usually have this same problem with other blush brushes!
PROS: soft, applies color well, nice design, inexpensive
CONS: some may not like how large it is
Perfect for finishing powders and bronzers. Too big for blush. Amaizingly soft. Does not change original shape. I love it.
Fantastic brush at a fantastic price. I have 4 other blush brushes that I haven't touched since getting this one, it's perfect. The unique tapered shape helps you control exactly how much blush you pick up and apply. It's super soft and washes well with no shedding. Go get one.
I have to start by saying that I am still searching for my HG blush brush and maybe that is also because I still have to improve my application technique but this brush performed pretty well and gave a nice blended finish with both blush and highlight.
It has not shed a single bristle and stayed soft after repeated wash, all in all a very good brush for a quite low price.
I'm not a fan of this particular brush. I used it for blush and wasn't impressed. I have other brushes within the same price range or even cheaper that do a better job. Not only that, but the bristles are too flimsy for my taste. I am a fan of Sam Chapman and hope to try the stippling brush next. Hope it performs better than this brush!
I love all of the Real Techniques brushes and this one is no exception! It has a unique shape which helps with accurate application but is fluffy so it blends perfectly. Easy to clean/maintain like all of the other brushes and you can't beat the price. Combine it with another one of the brushes or sets at Ulta and use a coupon? Even better! Oh and it's pink, what more could you ask for?
