This did NOT work for me at all. I have combo/oily skin that is very sensitive. I liked the way the serum felt initially and the scent is very nice but I'm thinking I must have had a reaction to the lavender. After using for three nights I ended up with skin that was redder than normal, covered with very fine, tiny bumps and several large bumps (ouch). BTW I have no problem using certain oils on my skin, esp. squalane (basically olive oil).
I'm happy for those who have had success but it was a disaster for me. It took quite some time to clear up my complexion. Just because it's all natural and has natural plant extracts does not mean it can't cause irritation.
LOVE THIS PRODUCT! Received it as a sample originally. The SA I spoke to said it would do all these magical things and I kind of just dismissed what she said, went home that night and applied to my skin. I followed the directions using three drops and PRESSING it onto my skin instead of rubbing. I went to bed that night woke up in the morning and didn't really see a difference. After applying my foundation I left, head to school and went on with my day. About five hours later I came home and went to touch up my make up and I noticed that my make up still looked flawless, my skin wasn't oily, I had a beautiful glow and my make up look like I had just applied it!! I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The dark marks from previous acne were practically gone. Honestly I can't believe how well this stuff works. The price is reasonable because the product lasts forever because you only need a few drops. I know some other reviewers said that as soon as they got the product they used like 10 drops. Don't do this, you're not suppose to feel the product or really see it. 2-3 drops is perfect, PRESS it into the skin don't rub. It's not a lotion so you don't need to have a ton.
I'm with syasya83 on this one. I tried a sample and yes I need more than 2 drops - more like 4 - 5 drops on my face, but I noticed that my acne marks and a few of my acne (the ones beneath the surface which hurts and is sore/swollen) were less irritated upon using it. My face looked well rested and luminous in the morning as well. Needless to say soft too. I will definitely purchase. I am not a believer in serums and 'treatments' and find them to be a waste of $$ until I found this. This is the only serum that has made a significant difference in my skin plus a BIG bonus is that its much more economical than the other serums whch are a waste of money.
This is a pleasant product - it has that pleasant slightly spicy and woody real lavender scent. Not the horrible chemical scent you get in other "lavender" scented products.
You don't need much for your face - they say 2 drops but realistically you're looking at 4 or 5. But still I'd say the bottle would last almost a year. It's good value from that point of view, though it cost about 40 euro which is steep.
It's easy and uncomplicated and a nice product that definately softens the skin. However if you have normal skin like me, you'll probably notice very little difference from using, say, Bio Oil or something. After about 2 months of usage I'm still not sure if it does anything other than soften the skin and look and smell great. Maybe on more difficult skin it would have more of an impact.
It's still nice stuff, though.
Tried this one last night n found it banish my blemishes, redness and bumps appear smaller and less irritated. I got few spot that looked like mosquito bites and this treatment really helps tamed the redness and the minimize the size. What a relieve. Will keep using this until i run out sample n may buy full size no matter what the prize is... Updating in couple of weeks
This is, in my opinion, a nice alternative to the great Clarins Face Oils. I just used it once until now, but it moisturized and calmed my skin, and it really did look relaxed and rested in the morning. It was a bit sticky though (which is a mystery to me, because oils never felt sticky on me, just...oily, which would be ok in the evening), and is also quite expensive, which is why I only give four lippies.
I love this! I am still working my way through a sample (using only a few drops, it will last a while) but after two weeks I can see results. I use a few drops at night (including around eyes) and my skin looks so much healthier! I love the feel and the scent of this product. Oddly it reminds me of that Aveda puressence. Anyway, as another poster mentioned, I feel like I'm using less makeup because my skin looks healthier. Will definitely buy it once my sample runs out.
EDIT: I fell out of love. It is fine, but I don't think it's really doing that much other than feeling good when it goes on. I moved on to the new Paula's Choice Resist series and am much happier with the results from that line.
I bought this after a sample I got that lasted a month!! I am a Kiehls fan in general, but I am getting older and don't sleep a lot due to my job, and am worried about my fine lines turning into wrinkles. Hydration is key to keeping your fine lines at bay. I will take maybe 3 drops, and dab on my face.. it says to avoid the eye area, but if you are careful, you can put it on your soon-to-be crows feet, and under the eye and your eyes look well rested the next morning. I sometimes put a drop in with my ultra facial cream during the day.
I've noticed I use less makeup, and except for my superficial capillaries on my cheeks, I don't really need much coverage anymore with my foundation/powder. I don't think I will ever get through this bottle, which is awesome. It is beautiful on my counter. I've started dabbing this on my lips as well...
I have oily skin and am not averse to trying out new product. I got this one as a sample with a purchase. I dabbed it on at the store in the afternoon and woke up the next morning with four superficial pimples. Luckily, these are not the painful and deep premenstrual pimples and should resolve in several days. I have used organic jojoba oil (which is A LOT cheaper- $5 and works much better) until I ran out recently. Perhaps the fragrance formulation?
This product is really great! Just two drops is enough for your entire face, and you can expect to wake up looking amazing! It does a good job at keeping your face moisturized without being too heavy. Although it is an oil, the texture is really light and non-greasy. Personally, I found that it really reduces irritations (i.e. redness caused by pimples is greatly reduced by morning), and it also helps heal scars a lot quicker! You will also wake up looking well rested (even if you aren't really)! Similar to other Kiehl's products, a little goes a LONG way, so the price is very reasonable.
