i really liked this cleanser a lot.....it took off all my makeup even my stubborn waterproof mascara..but it made me break out really bad..but again i have really sensitive skin and cant really use a lot of products....sigh im gonna hope that my new dhc cleansing oil will be okay on my skin
One of my favourite, if not my favourite cleansers because as the name suggests it really is a relatively "simple" basic cleanser and it certainly does make my skin feel pure and clean after I cleanse with it. I also love the faint scent of essential oils and the fact that it is only mildly foaming which makes me feel as though I'm not stripping my skin of the natural oils.
Finally the price is very decent and I like that it's available in many sizes from a portable 2oz travel size right through to a jumbo 32oz whopper!! I can see that I will go through many bottles of this! continued >>
I am a Philosophy newbie and possibly turning into a convert. This is probably one of the best cleansers I have used and I have used loads over my many years of wearing makeup. Gentle but really effective in taking off all my makeup. It even makes a difference to the waterproof mascara. It smells pleasant and has a nice gel like texture.
I love this! My skin is so sensitive, always broken out and red, and this cleanser calms it down. My skin is glowy after using it, and is never too dry. It completely takes my makeup off, maybe thats why my skin looks great now, because my other cleansers weren't getting all the grime off my face! I'll admit the smell isn't my fav. and the bottle is huge, but who cares! I'll deal w/ it because the product is fantastic!!
I received a sample of this along with Hope in a Jar. Didn't like the texture. I prefer some lather in my cleansers (although if it cleans well I can overlook that).
Stinks, doesn't remove makeup very well, and doesn't do anything beneficial for my oily skin. Too over priced. Will not buy again.
Got this in a try me kit on QVC. First, it smells bad. Like the old lanolin lotions of days gone by. I think this company is obsessed with 70s throwback fragrances. As a cleanser, this is nothing special at all. It did not take off all my makeup, as I proved to myself when I used a Pond's wipe right after trying this. The consistency reminds me of Cetaphil (not one of my favorites either). This is not a true "meltdown", like Cold Cream, or Adrienne's Signature A meltdowns (those stink to the high heaves, too--but really work great!)The upside, it leaves a light moisture mantel. The downside, everything else. It's also quite expensive for a cleanser.
I'm in my 30s and have been suffering from acne since I was a teenager. Since I started using Purity about three months ago, my skin is the clearest and healthiest I've seen since I was 12! It really gets all the makeup and crud off. The only drawback: my skin gets a little dry and flaky if I use it twice a day. So, I use it at night to take off my makeup, and I use Cetaphil in the morning, which is more moisturizing. Am very happy with this product, however. Some days my skin is clear enough that I can go without makeup. I didn't think I'd ever be able to do that.
This stuff is AMAZING! it really does melt off ss & makeup, i had been using PC cleanser which is good but this stuff is beyond it! i love it!! it doesn't ever dry me out. It's pricey but worth it, most cleansers strip your skin and that's bad for your skin no matter what type of skin you have!
I LOVE this cleanser. I've been a faithful user for more than three years. I have oily, blemish-prone skin and this product keeps my troubled skin in check. Recently, I decided to switch it up and change my cleansing routine. What a mistake! I decided to try out Bliss' Steep Clean Cleansing Milk and I had a major breakout after only a couple of uses. When I went back to Purity, my skin cleared up like a dream!
