I never, EVER, get zits. While using this foundation I got so many, it's awful. I heard a lot of people break out with this, but my skin is usually really good about staying clear. I've never had a product cause me to break out, until this one.
I am mesmerized how flawless this foundation looks on my face. I almost never go out during the day time, only night, so I was surprised when this foundation looked perfect in the sun and moonlight. It even looks pretty under fluorescent lighting (I love fluorescent lighting) I have repurchased this, and will do so in the future.
I bought this as I wanted something with good coverage but I hated it. It is very thick and I could feel it on my skin. I also found it very drying. I ended up mixing it with some moisturiser and Benefit High Beam and it was lovely! I switched to Select SPF 15 liquid after this and found it much better.
I wanted to like this so much! But unfortunately that didn't work out so well. The coverage was pretty good, but the undertone was off and it made me break out =(.
This foundation covers really well, but even the lightest color is too dark for me. The lady at the counter convinced me that it looked great, but she totally scammed me.
Really pale girls should shy away from this product. Especially those with a pinkish tone to their skin.
I used to love this product but after using it for a couple of weeks I found it seriously broke me out and had lots of bumps under my skin, as well as big spots :( Very thick and sticks to any dryness, also found it looked rather cakey. If you touch up with powder during the day this only makes the cakeiness ten times worse. Still use it on the occassional night out but will never use it as a day foundation or on a regular basis as it is just too heavy.
This product is amazing. It really works with any type of skin. However it is really pricey for cover up.For it to cover up the areas that are red or pimply you honestly must find the right brush.I use the MAC 109 because it helps blend very easily. You dont need to wear a lot of this because it will cover most spots up.There is also two cheaper alternatives for those who refuse to pay 26-30 dollars on one little bottle of cover up:
Cover Girl Clean Makeup Oil Control:
(it goes for about 7 or 8 bucks in the USA)
L'oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup:
(it goes for 13 or 14 bucks in the USA)
^both products work just as good as the mac
foundation and i think they might even work better!
I got this in a swap..
What can I say?
My friggin CoverGirl Clean Makeup Frangerance Free Makeup covers better than this!
Idk what people are saying about it being a "miracle" that was DEF. not the case for me:
-doesn't cover up pimples =0
Not a big fan.. well atleast now i have swapped it, so I am going to get MAC lipglass and MAC lipeglee =]
Ok, so I was hunting for a medium to full coverage foundation and was having problems finding the right shade for myself so decided to go to a local MAC store and try a few out with the assistance of the sales person. I told her what I was looking for and she suggested this product. Great! She chose two shades. She cleaned the left side of my face and applied the first color. When I looked in the mirror I was horrified! I'm pale with a lot of pink and red undertones, and the shade made me look BROWN! She cleaned that off and applied the second shade. Better, but I think still too brownish. I dont like the fact that MAC doesnt have any neutral shades, just warm and cool tones. I decided to leave the second shade on and see how it would wear throughout the day before making any decisions (this is fairly expensive stuff as far as I'm concerned). It wore ok, nothing spectacular, but I still didnt like the shade. Cleansed my face as usual before bed and woke up the next day with a horrible breakout on the left side of my face! I have since learned that a lot of people have this reaction to MAC foundation, so its totally out of the running as far as I'm concerned. Wear at your own risk. My skin is not everly sensitive and I have never broken out this way before from any other product, so beware!
I always end up coming back to this for liquid foundation. It's kind of like my old faithful, when I'm not feeling experimental, because I know the results I will get from it. The color selection is awesome; I never have trouble finding a match in summer, winter, or in between. This foundation looks best when applied with a brush like the MAC 187 or 109 and I do find that it is important to set this with some kind of powder. However, the fact that I'm always on the lookout for something better means that this foundation isn't perfect, just better than okay.
