i love it. thought i'd never let a drugstore foundation touch my face but i like the smooth, even, dewy coverage. not a heavy foundation
I find the screw off top on the bottle to be a bit unsanitary, but I like that I was able to find a match for my skin tone relatively easily. I usually switch between being an n6/n7 between the summer and winter months. It blends into my skin nicely and doesn't leave a streaky finish, although I find that I cannot just use the liquid foundation alone since it leaves my skin with a shine that does not look good with my already semi-oily skin so I follow it up with the pressed powder for a matte look. I like the little sparkley light reflectors in this foundation, but find that when I wear my Nars blush in Orgasm, it can be a bit too much sparkle. Overall, this is a decent foundation for the price, however I would prefer they replace the screw off top with a pump.
Greasy, greasy is all I can say and there is nothing about it that helps match it to your skin. I'm going to stick with mineral makeup.
This foundation is really watery with super-sheer coverage.
This foundation covers so well! I use this in the winter mostly, because my skin becomes too dry for powder foundations. This controls oil on my t-zone and doesn't accentuate dry spots. It blends well with a foundation brush. I have even used a Kabuki brush in a pinch and it still looked perfect! I use Bare Escentuals Prime Time primer underneath, and on oilier days, Urban Decay Surreal Skin powder on top.
EDIT: This broke me out! I was getting zits on my forehead, then stopped using this for a week and they cleared up. I used it again last night and woke up to another breakout. :(
I have very oily skin which occasionally breaks out. This product is great for people who want a light to medium coverage. The coverage you want is very buildable. I'm a NC40 in MAC world and I purchased N7, which is PERFECT shade for my skintone. When I wear it it matches my skin evenly and it doesn't feel like I have anything on my face. I use this foundation almost everyday, it acts as a great concealer for my blemishes for those days I don't want a full face of foundation.
1. The complaint I have with this product is that it is transferable, If I need to wipe my nose or touch my face the foundation comes right off. You have to be very careful not to touch your face or foundation will be on your clothes or rub off making your face look uneven.
2. My face looks oily after a couple of hours of wear, so touch ups with powder is constantly needed. I highly recommend you use a face primer before using this foundation if you have oily skin because without it the foundation will oxidize on your skin making it look orange/brown after a couple of hours.
3. I would perfer it came with a pump so the application itself would be a lot easier.
But other than that I would repurchase it again that is if I don't mind something else that works just as well and is more matte. Its okay for now but I would definitely be on the lookout for something more amazing.
i've tried every warm color from w4 to w6 and they are too ashy gray. w4 was very light and w6 was a dirty grayish cast on me.
This foundation isn't perfect, but I like it anyway. The pros are: it has a nice finish, lasts all day, doesn't make me oilier than usual, and a thin layer eliminates most of my need for concealer. The cons are: no pump, and the color is not a perfect match. I use this in W7 and the shade depth is perfect but it's a little too orange. It's not that noticeable however, so I'll continue to wear it since it's cheap and I don't feel like shelling out $35 for my MAC foundation that's also not an exact match.
I've used this foundation for a few days now and I like it so far. I have coolish-neutralish skin so I didn't want to get a MAC foundation that would be too pink or too yellow. The N1 in True Match is the perfect color for me. I dust my face with Coastal Scents silica powder before applying it and it blends beautifully. I have basically good skin, just uneven tone, and TM covers it very well, and doesn't cause me any pimples. I just have to touch up with powder throughout the day which is kind of annoying. I also wish this had a pump on it, I even emailed L'Oreal to please consider making a pump! I think next I want to try Colorstay, but overall this foundation is good and I like it. EDIT: The more I wear this the less I like it. It really has no staying power whatsoever and kind of sits on top of my skin. I wouldn't repurchase.
I tried this foundation because I'm having the worst time finding a neutral foundation that is light enough for my fair skin. This is a decent color match, but it's just a bit too dark for me. The packaging isn't that great and the consistency is very runny. The first time I used it I wasted a good bit because I poured too much on the back of my hand because it was so runny. I've been using it for about two weeks and I'm starting to break out on my chin so I don't recommend if you have oily, breakout prone skin.
It blends fairly easily and the coverage is decent, so it's not a total disaster. It's just not right for me.
