I got this primer 2 weeks ago from Dubai international airport and was really eager to try it coz as time goes by i've realised that my pores seem to be larger and the first signs of aging starting to crop up not to mention my skin gets really shiny these days.
Anyway, prep and prime spf 50 did not break me out, it keeps my makeup on for at least 8-9 hours and keeps the oil at bay for about 3 hours after which i need to blot with my palladio blotting paper once or twice in the day. ( i use Mac studio fix foundation powder over it)
I have to say, this is my first primer and am pretty pleased with it.
This product is amazing! I always had issues with not being able to keep my makeup on and most of it coming off by the afternoon. My skin feels great when applying this (almost like velvet) and my makeup stays on ALL DAY! Its wonderful! I would recommend this to anyone. It comes in a small tube which is a bit pricey but Ive had mine for months now so you dont have to use so much. Very happy about this product (:
My first primer - and I just used this for the first time, and went out partying all night.
I love how I applied it on my face, cause it doesn't make my face dry, just like a cream.
I didn't blot for the first few hours, but I did only on my t-zone after an hour of dancing and sweating.
I think it really has a very good oil-control!!!!
I have super oily skin, which I hate cause my makeup doesn't last so long..but with this primer it works wonders. My make-up lasted and my face didn't seem like a frying pan, even in photos!
I'll give a try more and see how well it'll work.
But then the SPF 50 is a double plus for me, cause I don't usually apply spf on my face cause it causes my face to oil more, so this is really hitting two birds with one stone!
Love love it!
I only give the packaging 3/5 cause i thought it'll come better with a pump.
I love this. Has amazing spf. Doesn't irritate my very sensitive skin. Helps with oil control which is a bonus. I haven't had to powder any of my foundations, one being Chanel Pro lumiere, with this. It does not fill in pores or erase lines like other primers, but I don't care. Will be buying this again. Anyone with oily skin who needs a high spf should really try this.
I've been using this for the past 3-4 years as a primer and I haven't found anything like it for oil control. At all. I wish it were a little more than 30 ml for the price but other than that it's the best for those with oily skin. It doesn't have the typical silicone feel as most primers do and that might be the reason it works so well for me.
This is quite expensive but I have been on the same tube for 6 months and it still seems pretty full. I have super oily skin. If I don't use this, my makeup will oxidize and I will have to blot at least 4 times a day. When I use this, my makeup doesn't oxidize all day and I only need to blot once, if at all. My dark marks also seemed to fade much faster once I started using this. Love this product and am super surprised by the great quality and oil control!
I love this stuff - I have an oily t zone and this controls the oil all day. I've worn this in the Caribbean in the middle of summer and it kept my oil production to a minimum, that's how great it is. It doesn't break me out or feel heavy on the skin. I really hate the packaging though. It's pricey but my bottle lasts about 1 year so it's a worth while investment.
I hoped this primer would keep my oily T-zone shine-free. Unfortunately it did not. It got so oily that I had to blot regularly. No matter what foundation I used, my T-zone got very oily during the day. At the end of the day, there was no foundation left on my T-zone. The packaging is horrible as well. It is difficult to dose and difficult to see how much product is left. The only positive thing about this primer is the high SPF factor, but that's the only thing.
Anyway, I would not repurchase this primer. My Chanel le Blanc Sheer Illuminating Base does a much (x10) better job at mattifying my T-zone.
This is quite an expensive product for such little quantity. I thought it was an average primer. I bought it for the spf protection but overall, I thought that it was very average in terms of priming & keeping my makeup on
I hate the bottle. It would leak into the cap. Towards the end of the bottle it gets hard to squeeze out and you need to put a bit of force into it causing a huge amount to come out.
Would but purchase again as I think that there are better primers out there with spf protection and in a similar price range.
This is great both as a primer and as a sunscreen. Of course we know that physical sunscreens don't offer the best UVA protection, but anyway a physical-only SPF 50 is great for me right know, as I found out that chemical sunscreens irritate my skin a lot. Anyway, if you apply enough for it to be a real sunscreen, it can go on a little white (just a LITTLE - not really white like Shiseido sunscreens) but you can just wait a few minutes than it sets in your skin. It doesn't make me oily and didn't break me out at all. Now that my skin is pretty clear and I don't have discoloration or acne issues - just some oiliness in the T-zone and some large pores around my nose - people think I am wearing foundation when I'm actually wearing just this primer and underye concealer, because the primer really gives that flawless appearance to the skin. It's perfect as a base for mineral makeup, too, and makes blush application easier.
I own Avon Magix Primer and LM oil-free primer and both don't even compare to this one. Magix has a lot of silicones, is really weird to apply and its sunscreen is not nearly as effective as MAC's. LM oil free primer feels like a light moisturizer, but doesn't work as well as MAC's as a primer (and doesn't have SPF) .
Anyway, this is a must buy for people who want a good sunscreen that doesn't mess with their makeup. I bought it 2 months ago and altough I still have a lot left in the bottle, I just bought a backup because it's really that good.
