Great product for blackheads or just generally clearing up skin. This has been a life saver for the blackheads on my nose which I haven't been able to get rid of for years. They've been greatly reduced over the past few weeks I've used this. My skin looks way better since using this. Oh, be careful about using too often as it could be drying.

I think this is a great product. I have combination skin and my tzone gets very oily. If I breakout, it's usually around my mouth. I use this morning and night, after cleansing my skin. A thin layer over my forehead, around my mouth and on any spots I might have. It cleared up what acne I had within about 4 days and has kept me almost completely clear. I have had a few whiteheads around that time of the month but they weren't nearly as bad as before. It claims to be hydrating. I don't think it could replace a good moisturizer, but it hasn't ever made my skin feel tight or dry. There is a good amount of product in the tube for the price, especially since a little goes a long way. Overall, I will purchase this again when I run out, as it has become an essential part of my routine.

I was so excited to receive this product after reading the reviews. But this product has been drying out my combination skin and I've been breaking out in rashes. My skin has become so sensitive that I can't apply any make up on it. And no it hasn't prevented or treated any existing pimples. I will probably end up using this as a spot treatment once my skin recovers. At the moment I really really hate this product. I applied a very thin layer of this on my skin and now I'm left with ultra sensitive skin.

PROS: Works great for my teens' acne skin. This helps them when they have the occasional flaking and even helps prevent breakouts.

CONS: There really aren't any except the smell isn't the greatest.

ALTERNATES: My teens use the "Rapid Clear" line or Alba Botanica's Natural Acnedote line when they need the extra oomph.

2nd Update: I'm on my third bottle of this product and I'm afraid its no longer effective. Sorry in advance for the TMI! When I used to use this product it would exfoliate my skin so that the blackheads would surface in the form of whiteheads or they would not be inflamed and really easy to extract. Now the clogged pores become inflamed and form bumps that are not easy to extract or cover up. Its like the product makes it stuck worse. I hope this explanation made sense. I've been experimenting for the past month to make sure that this is the culprit and it is unfortunately. I don't know if my skin doesn't like it anymore or what. I'll go back to my Alba product.

UPDATE: I like an Alba Acnedote product better than this one. Check out my review. This one is still good though but I definitely don't think it exfoliates as well as the Alba product. True rating 3.8.

I bought this product on the recommendation of Paula Begoun's book.

This products is truly lightweight. It literally is a gel that sinks right into my oily skin. It does not make my skin oily, shiny or anything. My skin is completely matte. Do I feel that it is "hydrating"? It is but not to the level I prefer. But I always follow this product with a moisturizer so I'm fine.

This product has made my skin so smooth due to the chemical exfoliation of the salicylic acid. For those unfamiliar with the effect, it is a million times smoother than physical exfoliation from a scrub. I was astounded at the difference!

I feel this product is truly working because my pores are much clearer and extractions are much easier to do. SORRY for the TMI! I have had some breakouts but I find I always do with salicylic acid products and then it levels out and I have awesome skin.

This has a twist off cap which I don't mind at all. The price was about 5 dollars because I had a coupon.

Definitely give this a try if you have oily skin! continued >>

I love this stuff! I used to have tons of clogged pores on my forehead that wouldn't go away, no matter what I did. Now, my clogged pores are gone and I have the softest skin ever. This stuff is cheap and can be picked up at any drugstore. Give it a try! However, don't expect it to work right away. Give it some time to work its magic.

I don't know why I decided to try this product. for one it has fragrance and I have sensitive skin and a no-fragrance policy when it comes to skin care. But I still wanted to try it. This felt so nice going on my skin and sunk in well and dried really quickly. But sadly this made me break out a little bit................damn fragrance. BUT it made me try the Paulas Choice 2% Lotion and It's the best BHA I've tried. So I will never buy this again.

I absolutely love to use this during the day. I've instantly noticed less breakouts during the day. Also the ph is stable in this product, so the salicylic acid exfoliates effectively. This also contains some antioxidants which are great for sensitive skin. I've noticed light scarring become even lighter, and less dry spots. This really is a 3 in 1 product, and it has never irritated my skin. Will continue to buy as long as they keep selling this! Highly recommend.

I've used this product for months. I like how it makes my skin feel-- moisturized but not oily-- but it does absolutely nothing for my skin, and sometimes, it even makes my skin burn. I'll finish the tube, because I don't like to waste product, but I won't return to this product.

I have reddish skin that is prone to breakouts and general redness. After just the first application of the Neutrogena (Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment), my skin felt smoother and there was less redness. I continue to see improvement every day."
