well first of all ive tried every single skincare line and probaly most of their products and mario badescu is my favorite!!! i use a bunch of different cleansers from this line but the enzyme gel cleanser is one of my favorites! because i can use it everyday without it drying me out or causing irritation to my skin!! i use their seaweed cleanser also that i love and i use the glycolic cleanser twice a week but i come to find the enzyme gel gets rid of all my makeup and still leaves my skin smooth!! also to follow i use the saeweed lotion as a toner which is amazing it has witch hazel in it so it helps clean skin without alcohol or like other toners that dry u out!!!!!! this product is amazing and can be used daily and for the price you cant go wrong!!!!!!
I recieved a free sample of this in the mail after filling out an online consultation survey. The samples I got were very generous, and this cleanser lasted me 10 days. It is a pale green creamy gel with a light, refreshing scent that vaguely reminds me of cucumbers. While it feels nice enough when washing, leaves no residue, and has not caused any allergic or acnegenic reactions for my sensitive skin, I have not noticed any change in my skin tone or texture as I generally do when trying new products, and I often find traces of makeup left when I follow with toner. Overall a standard cleanser for all skin types with a nice scent, but I won't be repurchasing.
I got this as a sample! I used it up and was sad when it was gone; so I hopped over to Ulta today to get the GIANT BOTTLE. It smells great, doesn't strip my skin, and little goes a long way. While a few MB products are pricey, this one is pretty cheap at $12. Another MB win for me.
doesn't do anything for me. smells nice, but i feel that the botanical gel does a much better job of cleaning my skin. plus, it seems whenever i use this cleanser, my face breaks out. it doesn't when i use the botanical gel.
I like it's mild qualities and that it gets my skin clean and all my eye makeup off (even the toughest of eyeliners and mascaras.) I also like the way my skin doesn't feel tight or dry afterwards. I just hate the strong fake artifical fragrance, it really bothers me; this also contains parabens which I also hate. For those two things I took off a lippie. Its a good size bottle and you don't need a lot, so it will last quite a while. I don't think this really does anything for my skin as far as fighting breakouts but it doesn't cause any either, so overall I'm on the fence with this one. I'm not sure if I would buy again or not...most likely not.
This cleanser is so mild and simple, yet it completely leaves my skin clean. I love the smell! This is so much better than Philosophy's Purity cleanser in my opinion, and it's so much cheaper. You need to try this if you are looking for a mild but effective cleanser.
I love this cleanser. I use this primarily as my morning cleanser because it doesn't strip my skin or leave it feeling dry. It leaves it smooth, soft, and clean. It has a fresh, grassy fragrance that I don't like or dislike although I now associate it with my mornings. This cleanser isn't meant to remove makeup IMO, and if I do use it at night, it's after I removed my makeup with DHC's cleansing oil. Granted, I do wear Revlon ColorStay and other similar medium-full coverage foundations, so it might work for people who wear lighter makeup or MMU in that regards. Still, it's a very good basic cleanser with a very short and simple ingredient list. It does what it's supposed to - that is, clean your skin gently which makes it a great daily cleanser. The fact that it's non-foaming doesn't bother me, and it doesn't leave any residue behind when I'm done washing. When I first started using it, I was breaking out a little around my cheeks and I had blackheads galore on my forehead. This has really helped. What more could you ask for? Well, the packaging is a little drab and utilitarian I suppose, and a pump rather than a nozzle would be greatly appreciated. However, this will remain a firm staple in my skin care regime, and that is quite a lot from a girl who loves to try and will continue to try the tons of new products launched every year.
I recieved a sample of this from the Mario Badescu web site since it was recommended to me from their skin type survey. The sample lasted for two weeks (using it twice a day) & I was able to notice the difference it made in my skin. Prior to using this product I had been using Proactiv & other harsh products since I had developed acne on my cheeks but those products had only worsened my skin. I wouldn't have thought to use the MB cleanser because I had always gone for the harsher products advertised for acne & this product is the opposite. My skin still isn't perfect but this cleanser improved it so much compared to how it was a few months ago. I had been getting atleast one new pimple daily & now I rarely get any. The smell of this cleanser is really fresh yet mild, but kind of reminds me of hotel soap for some reason. I love its gel texture which feels nice on my skin. I also love the bottle it comes in as well as the type of nozzle. There are also very few ingredients & most of them are natural, which I appreciate. I could go on & on about this cleanser but lastly, it's very inexpensive & they sell it at some Ultas so it's pretty easy to access.
I got a sample of this awhile back and have really fallen in love with this. I used it as my morning cleanser and I can really see an improvement in my skin since I started. I have had issues with acne in the past but when on Accutane in college. Since then I have only had minor flares up, but I find that this really helps keep them at bay. I follow with a toner just to make sure I get all the gunk off. Loving Mario B skincare at the moment.
So many people seem to like this product, but it really did not do anything for me. I am wondering if I had a bad sample, as my face did not feel very clean after using. I am still loving Purity by Philosophy, so I will stick with that for now.
PS>>>I really do like other products by Mario Badescu!
