this and my l'oreal lash architect and voluminous...my staples!
-cool brush. the bristles are beautifully packed, not too tight, not too loose, the shape of the brush is the so-called 'lengthening' one and it really does the trick
-helps lengthen my lashes A LOT
-never goes dry
-been having it for a while and doesn't seem to run out. i don't use it that much (i say this about maaaany products, lol), just at the end of my mascara routine (mf masterpiece+ l'oreal lash architect+voluminous) if i need extra length or if i'm going out.
-doesn't run, no raccoon eyes
-maybe a little liquidy at the beginning but then it gets creamy and perfect
This is my go-to mascara. It gives me great volume and it doesn't clump. This mascara has definitely grown on me, because I wasn't a fan at first. It does take quite a few swipes for that intensity look but it gets the job done. If you want a super lengthening mascara then this most likely isn't for you, it gives some length but not alot. The price is right and the packaging is good as well.
I decided to try this based on the reviews and the low price point. I don't like it. All it does for me is create huge gaps between stuck together strands of lashes. It lasts well, but gives virtually no volume for me and lengthening was minimal. I won't buy again for sure.
This is the cheapest drugstore mascara, so that's why I bought it. It's really nothing special about it. I don't know if it's related to how I apply it or what, but after a day of wearing it, it just leaves some kind of black residue under my eyes that i have never notice when using other mascara. So I probably won't repurchase.
I usually use a cake mascara, but every so often, I take this when I'm on the road and everything has to fit in a bag the size of my fist. It's fine. I don't want huge mega-lashes, just a little darkening and subtle enhancement. Packs well, works well.
The first few times I used this I wasn't very impressed, but I guess I like it a lot better now that I've gotten used to it. It seperates and lengthens quite a bit, but I absolutely LOVE this mascara when paired with Maybelline Lash Stylist. Sadly they've discontinued it but I just use the brush in different mascara tubes, lol! It's the comb that really lengthens and thickens the lashes after using Rimmel Super Lash as a primer.
I used this mascara for ages as i really liked it it didn't clump on my lashes and it lengthened and separated but it could define better. Its very cheap and a great drugstore mascara. The packaging could be better though as it is very boring - its just black so it doesnt stand out on the shelf.
This mascara is great for separation only. I use it to separate, then i put maybelline colossal over it, and tease with lash injection. To me, any mascara is a good mascara, i just never use them solo. I always use at least 2 mascaras together, and you have to know how to apply different types of mascara properly. It was really cheap and did a great job separating. So for that it gets 4 stars.
- Color is intense
- Separates and defines lashes very well
- Decent length and volume
- Buildable for natural and dramatic looks. Very versatile mascara.
- Able to extend lashes outward or inward. Shapes can be created easily.
- Dirt cheap
- Doesn't flake
// Bad & Ugly:
- Too much mascara at the tip of brush. Annoying to wipe off the excess every time.
- Doesn't hold a curl
- Minimal clumping
*EDIT. After using Extra Super Lash a few more times I have had to take off a lippie. It seems to make my lashes shorter and stubbier. Not a good look for anyone :-(
I bought Sexy Curves, Lycra Lash Extender & Extra Super Lash all on the same day. I found them all on sale for $4 each so wanted to compare as I had read lots of reviews and was still undecided.
I have your typical Caucasian eyelashes, brown with medium length & medium curl.
I think Extra Super Lash is an ok product for the price. I would say it comes in 2nd place out of the 3 products i tried.
It certainly does not give me Extra Super Lashes but it does give a good amount of volume with a couple of coats & the brush is nice to use.
It's a good everyday mascara.
I found Sexy Curves to be the best for me out of the 3 by far, it actually gives not only a bit more length but also a good amount of volume & it holds the curl.
It's not messy & the brush is actually really easy to use.
It worked 10 times better than the other 2 products which I found did nothing for me.
If you are trying to decide which one to get, I suggest Sexy Curves as the best of the bunch! continued >>
