I heard all the great reviews about this product but because i have super oily skin i did not think it would work. I used Revlon Colorstay and could never find anything better.
I'm so glad i found this product. Its the best foundation i have ever used and costs half the price of Revlon Colorstay!
If you have oily skin I defiantly recommend this foundation. I would not recommend it for dry skin as when I first put it on it makes my skin look a little dry
I got this Foundation is the second lightest shade, and it's a tad too dark for me still. I haven't had a problem with the turning darker situation, and I think the coverage is outstanding, I think it can look a little cakey at times, so I thin it out with a little bit of moisturizer, I also like this foundation because it doesn't feel heavy, and stays on through all my classes. I also most say I absolutely love that this comes with a pump, I do think it's a little pricey (like $10) so while I was shopping around I found a cheaper foundation that has about the same coverage for $6-$5 cheaper, it's "Rimmel London, Clean Finish foundation" I brought the lightest shade they had in this foundation & it's also too dark, but I find it to be very similar as the "Cover Girl, Outlast Stay Fab. 3 in 1 Foundation" for less money, which is a plus, but not pump. :c It does have a spatular like scooper on it, I'd recommend it if you had $3 to spend. :)
bought this in the lightest color. it matched me well but after 15-20 my face turned into an orange ORANGE cakey streaky mess. it looked super greasy and nasty.
I used a kabuki and tried to buff & blend it but after several minutes I was still oranger than a gossip girl.
coverage isn't great. my red zits were shining through the orange film.
So I wasn't thrilled with this at first. I used my fingers, a flat foundation brush, and a kabuki to apply and didn't really care for it. BUT, I bought a dupe beauty blender at Marshall's and used that to apply it. OMG, love it. It goes on so much better now and I don't even need concealer after and that is saying a lot because I have acne scars all over my face. And this hasn't made me break out which is also saying a lot for me. Will continue to purchase. BTW, the dupe beauty blender is made by Swissco. The manufacturer is on the back (or the side, can't remember) of the package at the bottom. I don't have the original Beauty Blender to compare it to but I don't need it now!
I actually really like this foundation. It took me awhile to find a foundation that blends in with my skin tone because I have pretty fair skin, and when I wear this you can't even tell; so that's a plus. I don't have to cake it on to cover up blemishes. I have an oily t-zone and it helps keep that area matte. I would repurchase!
This is a great foundation. I use this almost everyday. I love the coverage it gives and the fact that is lightweight. It is about $10 so It is a pretty good price. I wish it would be $7 or $8 but i am sure the packaging would have to be sacrificed for that and I love how it has a pump so $10 is worth it. This is a great drugstore foundation that I would recommend to everyone especially beginners. I actually just bought some more today because my other color was too dark for the winter. This is my go to foundation. I would say this is actually my holy grail foundation.
I got shade golden tan, because I want to be tanned look in summer, but I think it is too dark and orange, I love yellow toned foundation, I only use this when mix with a lighter color foundation. The foundation itself is thick, but blended well. Overall, for me, it is so so
I like this just as much as my Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation. It doesn't have quite the overage, but close enough. And it's about 1/4 the price so I can settle. It covers a lot - not everything, I still need my MUFE concealer to take care of some spots, but I have moderately severe acne with LOTS of scars, so I probably have more redness than most. This controls my oil extremely well (I have combo skin). It is a very matte foundation, but when I use it with my beauty blender it looks SO natural. And it comes with a pump; it is fantastic!
Bumped it down to a 3 because I have noticed oxidization. (I have the lighest shade)
I love this foundation! Its the only foundation that i trust to keep me relatively matte for around 3-4 hours considering i have EXTREMELY oily skin. However, I did have a problem with one of the shades 845. I thought it was great and matched me perfectly inside but when i when outside and checked in a mirror my face was oranger than a pumpkin. Maybe its just the lighting at the time, but i quickly threw it out. I much prefer the shade 842 for my NC35-NC37 skin tone. It does oxidize, but to more of a beige color rather than a traffic cone orange. It never broke me out and i have struggled with acne my whole life. It controls oil far better than the revlon colorstay while still feeling like I'm not wearing anything at all and I rarely had issues with caginess, if ever. Highly recommend this
I have many foundations- Revlon Whipped, L'Oreal, Wet n Wild , Rimmel but this one is the first to ever flake and oxidize(!) on me after 4 hours of wear. Very disappointed. Cover Girl never delivers on its promise. Dont waste your money on this gimmicky loser.
