This is the best drug store mascara I have used. It truly is clump free, flake free AND smudge free. Although toward the end of its life, it does tend to smudge a bit. I love tubing mascaras because of the awesome volume you get and this one gives just that. One other con I have, however, is that it dries out a little fast but other than that, for about $8 at Target, this drugstore mascara can't be beat.
Not the worst mascara I have used but not good enough either. I have a real issue with mascara smudging and leaving me with raccoon eyes and this one really leaves me in a mess by the end of work shift. I even tried it topped with one of my no smudge mascaras and it still managed to end up under my eyes. So there's my reason for not repurchasing.
Otherwise, it was pretty much clump-free, gave me great length and pretty good volume, held a curl rather well too. I like the packaging and the brush was easy to use. I felt it was a bit expensive for a drugstore mascara ($15 at SDM). If it was not for the smudging I would repurchase this and it would easily be a fav. If you do not have a lot of issue with raccoon eyes I recommend this. I will try the waterproof version at some point to see how that works for me.
It felt cheap and pointy (ouchy brush) going on, but had no smell (either bad or good) so I was ok at this point. It looked a little spiky and felt strange but was fairly presentable for work. I wanted to fix it but I felt I would make it worse if I added more. Fast forward to three hours later and it seems I have mascara smeared all over my upper lids (just from having my EYES OPEN looking at my computer screen at work) and smudges underneath. So now I'm writing this review.
This is going in the garbage and is not getting another shot for redemption. I am going back to... well, anything else.
Saw an ad in a magazine with Gwen Stefani wearing this mascara so I just had to try it. I had high hopes for this mascara but it smudged and flaked on me. It did give length and volume but the flakiness and smudging starts soon after. Returned.
Being disabled and retired now, I have not been using as much mascara as I always have been. I must have 4 or 5 tubes that eventually have all dried out to the point of no good. So...I have been on the shop for a new mascara and I have went through 4 tubes now, but only trying 3 of them. This is one of the first ones I tried and it was a big fail for me. Yeah it went on fine without too much smudging or clumping but it did not make my lashes look long or much fuller. In fact, I would say the opposite. It was just so so. I got it in waterproof as my older eyes seem to weep a lot more than ever before and I get so hot my whole eye area just gets wet with water. I tried to take this off that night and it appeared to my aging eye sight that most of it came off with my Lancome eye makeup remover, but the next morning was tragic! I had giant size flakes under, above, and in my eyes. I immediately washed my eyes out again and used my makeup remover but it took some doing to get most of the flakes down to a ,manageable degree. My eyes did not like this mascara either as they were somewhat blurry when I was wearing it. I returned it the next day and bought a different brand, Cover Girl ;-). That review will be on the correct page. It was not much better for the flaky mess and I chose to get a none waterproof to see if it made a difference.

I had been using L'Oreal Million Lashes before this, so I thought since it's the same brand but promising more drama, it would be even better. I was disappointed.
Performance: I am very meticulous and thorough when I apply any mascara, and that's probably the only reason this works for me. It seems a bit too dry of a formula, so it doesn't really "glide" on. It volumizes decently, I wasn't overly impressed with that. I was really disappointed in length and even more turned off in how bad it holds a curl. Million lashes creates and holds curl much better. The brush is pretty rough; it hurts when it brushes against my lids at the roots. The formula also dries out rather quickly; my tubes of Million Lashes (and other brands) lasted longer than this one, which only made it about a 3 weeks or so.
Price: Pretty in line with other mascaras advertised as higher quality drugstore.
Packaging: It's not an issue really, but I dislike how long the tube is and I don't like the brush, as discussed above.
I would not repurchase.

I asked for this mascara for Christmas and was really happy to find it in my stocking this year! My sister and friends had mixed feelings about it, but I just couldn't pass up the beautiful gold, expensive looking tube!
As for the mascara itself, it's probably one of the best I've tried. It both lengthens and volumizes, something that I can rarely find in a good drugstore mascara. It doesn't fake or rub off throughout the day (granted I only use it on my top lashes, and a totally different WP mascara on the bottom) and when I curl my lashes and put this on, I'm amazed by the results! I don't have sparse lashes, or stubby ones... but they can still use a nice boost. I wear minimal eye make-up throughout the day, and I love the way this makes my eyes open up and pop out from understand my glasses.
5 stars, would definitely repurchase, even if it is kind of pricy here for a DS mascara (about $14CDN... not on sale).
Tricky to put on, but this tip I read in Style Watch worked for me - I put on a coat, let it dry for 30 seconds and put on another. It worked well. Great length and volume.
This mascara makes my lashes look long & thick. I love the gold triangle tube, just because it's fun. The fibers can get a little bit clumpy on the ends of my lashes, but I just seperate the tips with my Tweezerman Lash Comb while the mascara is still wet. My favorite way to wear this is to layer it over the Jordana Best Lash Voluminzing Mascara for really amazing, OTT lashes. continued >>

This is my new favorite mascara. I absolutely love the packaging because it is gold, shiny, and expensive looking. This product is almost exactly an exact dupe of the Yves St. Laurent Faux Cils mascara. This mascara is both lengthening and voluminous just as the Voluminous original. The only difference is that is does an even better job if separating lashes and does not make them clumpy. My lashes are truly "fibrous" and look similar to fake lashes. My new HG mascara which is saying a lot as carbon black was my life before I found this.
