I received this as a birthday gift and absolutely love it. I did wish there were more light colors in it, but UD figured it out with naked 2 and now with basics. I now have all 3 and do not regret the money spent at all. Each and very color is gorgeous.

I was a little late to the party when buying this product and now that I have it I just wanted to add to the praises being sung for the Naked Palette. I'm fair with dark eyes and light brown hair, and I found that the colors in the original palette suit me better than in the Naked 2. I love all the looks I can get with everything I could need at my finger tips. I'm not adventurous and prefer more neutral colors so I appreciate the color selection in it. The price is a little much to swallow when I initially looked at it, BUT when you actually think about how much you are getting for the amount, it is actually a really good deal. The only thing I don't like about the palette is the outside of the case, the velvety texture is just a magnetic for every bit of dust there might be (and I do clean all the time!) I just can't seem to keep the case clean. I will definitely be buying this again after mine runs out, but I can't foresee that happening for a long time.
Wow... this is gorgeous! I was trying so hard not to buy into the hype but this truly lives up to its fame. There's twelve colours and I actually wear all of them, which is pretty surprising. It's like finding a CD (yeah I know, I'm getting old) that only has great songs on it that you actually like to play.
It's very versatile, I can do a lovely smoky eye with this, both heavy or more subtle, but a few of the colours actually look amazing on their own, al over the lid, for work or a relaxed weekend look.
Glides on nice and smooth with the primer and brush that come with it, so no issues there either. Absolutely love it. Pricy, but I will never need another eyeshadow again, it's got all the colours that I would ever use.
This is such an amazing palette! I love all of the colors, and almost all of them are perfect for everyday. The look I do almost everyday is half baked on the lid, buck on the crease, smog on the outer half of the crease, darkhorse on the outer corner, and either sin or virgin to highlight. Also, this palette is an amazing value for your money because it comes out to being less that $5 per shadow and they are all full sized shadows.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!! I am in love with the naked pallete and evrytime i think of betraying it and getting the naked 2 and convince myself not too. This has the most amazing colors perfect for any makeup starter kit! It is definetely pricey but definitely worth it. I constantly get compliment when i wear smog on the lid it really makes brown eyes pop!! Definitely a must have. Alot of people complain about the packaging because it picks up dust easily but i love the velvety packaging!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE.. I will continue to repurchase this palette over and over again. It has the prettiest colors and creates amazing eye shadow looks
Haters gonna hate, but everyone that actually knows anything about makeup will love this palette! There is a reason why it's so well loved. Blind following is not what got it such high reviews; just look at Maybelline's Great Lash or Aquanet...they have practically a cult following too, yet unlike the Naked Palette, they are hyped for no substantial, practical reason and get horrible reviews on MUA.
Before I get into my actual review of the product, I'd like to address some complaints voiced in these reviews that I hope don't persuade you from purchasing this palette.
One complaint I've heard is the glitterbomb and fallout aspect of its colors. And my response is: Stop being lazy! Stop being unrealistic. You can't expect to just slap on eyeshadow! There are so many easy ways to prevent fallout. Invest in a good eyeshadow primer. Wet down the color. Apply with fingers and pat on rather than flick it everywhere with a brush. Use an index card under your eyes to catch fallout. Use setting spray. Or finally learn how to do makeup the right way and do your eyemakeup first, then your face. Any of those or a combination would work!
And to complaints about the absence of matte colors:
Matte colors can be overrated. The two provided in this palette work just fine. More than 2 matte colors is unhelpful, the eye look will begin to look dull without some shimmer to draw in light.
Finally, any and all complaints about muddiness, blurriness, or lack of variety in results. This is not the makeup's fault. This is your fault. The Naked Palette by Urban Decay will not sit down with you and explain how to do your makeup. It is simply a tool provided to you. Too muddy? Then apply a light color first instead of dark. Light colors add dimension. Blurriness? The point of quality eyeshadow is to easily blend colors. The "blurriness" is just from applying the colors in the wrong places on the eyes. Learn which type of eyeshape and angle you have first, and work with that.
It is quick and easy to teach yourself enough to use this palette effectively (there are many helpful eyeshadow tutorials available on YouTube, and some that even specialize with this palette)! Just don't buy it without "doing your homework", then come write a misleading review!
Anyways, to the actual product review:
The Naked Palette is a gorgeous collection of colors that can each be used for any occasion. The variety in shade, intensity, shine, and undertones allows for so many different looks. This is an extremely versatile palette. Lighter shades in this palette can be used as a highlighter for browbones, cheekbones, nose, cupid's bow, or collarbones. The matte colors can be used for contouring the face and eyes. The darker colors can double as a soft, smoky substitute for eyeliner, or a brow filler. The shade selection will flatter all eyecolors. The actual colors and shades do have cheaper, drugstore duplicates, however you will find that the colors in this palette are much better quality: longerlasting, pigmented, and deep. Not to mention, all the colors you need are in one place. It's much easier than buying similar colors individually and scrambling to find them in your drawer.
Pricewise, I acknowledge that this is a considerable amount of money for eyeshadow, but it is worth it. The colors are so richly pigmented that a little goes a long way; therefore the quantity will last for some time. This palette is typical of Urban Decay eyeshadows, very smooth, rich and complex shades with dimension.
The packaging has a magnetic close, and is covered in velvety fuzzyness that will not look as pretty as time passes....Loose powder spilled on it is hard to clean off...But that's really not a big deal, as it has nothing to do with the look of this makeup on your face.
Even though mine will probably last for another year, I will continue to buy when I eventually use it up.

LOVEEEEEE these eyeshadows. Perfect for all skin color, and eye color! I use this everyday, I can make natural looks, and evening looks for the night. Yes, there needs more matte colors, but they came out with basics, which I have and is great too!
At first when I purchased this palette last year, I was questioning all the hype around it. I looked at the colours and thought ok, they're pretty, but how many looks can I achieve with this...A year later, I can say I still reach for this on a regular basis and you can create several looks! The colours I use most are Naked and Buck (in my crease), I love Sin and Virgin on the eyebrow bone...and even if I'm using other eyeshadows, I'll still reach to this palette and use a colour to complete the look...in particular, Toasted, Half Baked, and Dark Horse...But my opinion is that this palette is a definite staple in anyone's make up collection!
I got this in Sept. for an anniversary gift. Been eyeballing this beauty for awhile now, and my Hubs finally picked it up for me. So many different looks and I just love it. I YT looks so I can utilize my palette to its full content. Just adore this guy and I picked up the original Naked palette bc Im more warmer toned and the 2nd palette is cooler toned. Both r beautiful! The price is a bit stiff to spend at 1 time, but U r getting a dozen colors for $50. Cant go wrong if u save a minute for it. :)
