Hard Candy was one of my favorite brands back in the UK and not cheap so I was amazed to see it in stock for at my local Walmart at bargain prices. This is the first time I have used their primer and after a week of using it I have no complaints. I have very sensitive combination skin that breaks out easily especially when trying a new product on it, after a week of using this my skin has not broken out nor reacted badly. It makes my skin feel very smooth, reduces the size of my pores and makes my makeup look flawless. Since using this my skin has been less oily with Makeup and it helps my foundation and powder stay in place much better than without, usually by mid morning my t zone gets shiny but not with this primer underneath. The texture does feel a little strange at first but it goes on the skin well and you only need a very small amount. Highly recommend and will be buying again.

I've never used a primer before, but my t-zone gets very oily, and the mattifying powders I was using had a hard time staying on. So reading up on primers, I wanted to find a cheap one that would do a decent job. Bought this primer at wal-mart for 8 cdn. Using it for 2 months and definitely would buy again. Thank u for the tips to shake before use to avoid the greasy feeling, as well as letting the primer dry before applying any makeup. Helps my powder stay on, if I wear in the morning, don't have to blot or touch up until dinner. Makes my skin appear smooth and I only have to use a pea size amount. This didn't break me out, nothing negative to say about it. Price yay, packaging is convenient squeeze bottle, price? Cheap. Try it! U have nothing to lose

This is the first full-size primer I've purchased. I never really thought I needed a face primer until I tried a few sample sizes, but I didn't want to spend too much $ on one. I paid about $8 at Walmart and I fell in love! I love how it makes my skin feel and also how even my foundation looks. I've had several people ask me what I've started doing differently with my makeup as it looks much more natural and not patchy. I am definitely going to be re-purchasing this again. I love it and it's made such a difference in my make-up routine.

I got mine from WalMart for around $15 + tax CAD. Pricier than what other reviewers paid for (like $8?)

I gave price 3/5, though I paid a little more for it, Hard Candy gave a lot more product than other brands do. Maybe I'll stock up the next time I go to the US for $8 sans tax.

Packaging, I gave 5/5. LOVE the flip cap cuz I tend to drop the screw caps a lot and then have to decide whether to rinse it or not in case I get water in the bottle. I also like how the bottle stands up so I don't have to beat the bottle against the counter to get the last bits out as primer can be thick.

Overall was a 5/5
PROS:
- has SPF 15, though little, its better than nothing
- doesn't smell
- a deal amongst other drugstore brands

CONS:
- formula was a little slippery, as in it slipped between my fingers
- not really a con, but I'd prefer pump bottle

I recommend this and would definitely buy it again.

This is one on the few HC items I actually love, love, LOVE!!! It helps my make up last a good while and helps mattify my face! It's also really cool that you get a very good amount of product for a lot less than the really high end brands! I will definitely buy again once I get through the huge tube!

So far so good. I have used this product for a few days now and I like the way my skin/makeup looks with it on. It smoothes out imperfections and does a good job so far with hiding my pores. I was using Avon's MagiX Face Perfector before and ran out and needed something soon so saw this at Walmart and picked it up. Can't beat the price at $8 and it's a pretty decent size. A little goes a long way, as I'm use to thicker primers and not as thin as this one. So far, I haven't had any breakouts like a few had complained about and I'm impressed. Unless I start to break out, I think I'll stick to this primer before ordering my Avon one again.

So this is the very first face primer I've tried and I absolutely love it! I've never bothered with primers in the past as I chalked them up to be an extra unnecessary step in my routine. I ended up trying this out because I had purchased the Hard Candy First Flush kit and this was one of the items included. I have combination skin and tend to get a little oily in my t-zone area. This primer keeps my face matte and makeup looking fresh all day. I used it the morning of St. Patricks Day and didn't wash my face until late that night. My makeup still looked great after 12 hrs. and I hadn't touched up all day. I'll surely keep repurchasing this and won't even bother trying a high end primer.

I didn't have high hopes for this primer, as most silicone-based primers either clog my pores or fail at controlling any shine/oil on my t-zone. This not only worked extremely well with oil control, but it really did make my skin appear smooth and flawless. It filled in my fine lines, and allowed my foundation to glide on easily.

My gripe is with the formula. It is quite different, a bit chunky and greasy in appearance. I have to shake the tube prior to squeezing any product out, as it tends to seperate overnight. It feels slightly oily upon inital application, but dries quickly to a matte finish. I find this to be a great drugstore primer and would recommend this over L'oreal, Revlon, Maybelline and Rimmel.

I love the price and would not hesitate to purchase this again.

I've very impressed with this product. I have combination skin, so not only do I have dry patches, but I also have excess oil throughout the day. This primer not only evens out my dry patches, but prevents my makeup from rubbing off as my skin gets more oily.

The package is also very attractive. When the product is applied, it makes my skin feel very smooth (although it doesn't look much different)
The smoothness allows the makeup to glide on more easily, and the primer does not add a shiny or greasy look to my foundation.

Pros:

Makes foundation last longer

Evens out skin dry patches

Makes skin feel smooth

Doesn't have an annoying odour

Fairly large bottle to price ratio

Cons:

Applying too much can make your makeup look cakey

Package does not say how long you should let the primer set (to dry) before applying makeup - applying it before the primer is dry will leave your makeup either looking cakey or streaky

Product is slightly pricey, even though you get a decent amount of primer.

Would recommend this to anyone, and will definitely buy again.
