Ehh, this stuff is pretty good. I mean, a cleanser can only do so much. It's not drying, it smells alright, and it washes off easily. The reason I bought it is that I like the packaging. Seriously, I'm horrible about packaging. I bought Chanel No.5 KNOWING I hated the smell just because I liked the bottle. Anyway, if you're feeling like you want this, buy it. It's pretty good, and it's not too expensive so what the heck.

Purity cleanser by Philosophy is the only cleanser I have used in over 5+ years. My teenage daughter also uses it and has very litlte breakouts. This is an all-in-one product--cleanser, eyemakeup remover, toner and does not leave your skin tight after using it. The trick to getting the best results is to add a few drops of water into product and work the product into the skin for 30-60 seconds. If you let the product work on the skin for this time frame, it will remove everything. I wear thick opaque makeup to conceal vitiligo and this removes it completely and doesn't leave any makeup residue to cause breakouts. If you can afford it, it's worth it, plus it saves counterspace and time by combining the effects of multiple products. I'm busy and I need a streamlined multitasking product.

Same as Tramrak, my mom thinks this is the best cleanser that she has used in her whole life while I found nth special with it.
The smell of this cleanser is strange to me too and I feel uneasy with this scent on my face. It smells like a mixture of different herbs.
It also claims to remove makeup as well, which I find it not too convincing. I need to rub hard to get my makeup removed with this cleanser, which I obviously gave up doing this already.

i got this as a gift from my mom who LOVES it and has really been raving it up. i have heard and read alot of good stuff about it so i was really excited to try it! well...it's ok. i mean, i don't see anything really special about it! it removes dirt and makeup w/o drying out your skin but so do a million other cleansers that cost a whole lot less. and personally, i need more exfoliation when i'm scrubbing off my makeup and i just can't get that from this + my hands. i actually prefer my Target brand generic cleansing cloths to this! atleast w/those you just add water and get cleansing and exfoliating in one. i'll use this for the days when i haven't worn any makeup, because it is a nice cleanser, i just won't be repurchasing.

I tried a bottle of this a few years back (like maybe 5 years). I didn't think it was anything special. It kind of smelled bad, didn't clean my eye makeup well, and left my skin tight. Unless the formulation has changed, I can't figure out what the hype is all about.

Just got a load of Philosophy products from QVC yesterday, mainly because I wanted to try various things that have been discussed here. I used the Purity Cleanser last night, and found it to be extremely good. I received a lot of samples in my order, so I used half of one of the Purity samples and it cleansed my entire face and neck, plus gave me enough to do my hands, while I was at it. It's also GREAT for the hands! Anyway, one night of use isn't going to tell me too much, except that it did a great job of removing my BE mascara, and it didn't irritate my eyes at all. My face felt a bit tight afterward, and I noticed my pores looked smaller. At the same time, my skin felt soft and smooth. I applied some of another sample, Hope in a Jar, and it was a nice, light moisturizer, although I also bought a jar of the WHINE cream, so will probably use that for a night cream instead. I have fairly normal skin with no breakout problems, so I'm lucky in that respect. However, I'm past 50 and need extra help with moisture and wrinkle reduction around my mouth and eyes. The cleanser really seems to be a good way to prepare the skin for moisture, so I will continue to use and update after a few weeks. So far, so good! It's a bit pricey, but you don't need much, so it should last a long time.

i absolutely love this stuff. i have oily, acne-prone skin so i have to be very careful about what i use b/c most stuff irritates my skin but not with purity. i've been using it since 2006 with awesome results. it fully cleanses my skin after only one wash and fully removes my eye makeup. i have recommended this product to anyone who'll listen. a 16 oz. bottle runs about $32. it's a little pricey, but very much worth it. purity is my HG cleanser. i don't use anything else.

I have normal to slightly combo skin. I use this to wash at night after removing my eye makeup. My skin feels soft and smooth when after I rinse. It doesn't leave my skin dry or tight. I apply a light moisturizer afterwards and my skin has been great since I started using it.
