this pretty much my daily go to. I like the buildable coverage and the texture of it on my skin but after a few hours i usually find myself reapplying it. i use it with a moisterizer and prep + prime underneath and that helps. i just bought the prep + prime skin refined zone and that actually has helped my makeup stay on even longer in my oily t-zone. it also helps when i apply a mineralized skin finish on top of it and spray it with fix plus. over all i think it's a good foundation but i'll keep looking for my HG foundation.
I bought mac sff in nc44 because i was looking for more coverage, but i found that it is not moisturizing enough for my combo/dry skin. It looks really obvious that I have foundation on because it accentuates all the dry patches, even if i moisturize. overall i would not buy this foundation again because i like a more natural look.
I tried this because I love MAC and was looking for a full coverage foundation that might be better than my HG, Revlon Colorstay. NC15 was a tad too dark but manageable. I would say the coverage is equal to that of Colorstay but what I liked more about SFF was that it felt so light and smooth on my face. It did wear off a bit at the end of the day. For me, Colorstay is more long-wearing. I tried this for a week and broke out all over my chin-quite possibly the worst breakout I've had. My skin is pretty crazy and sensitive so I can't say for sure that SFF broke me out, but the break out was terrible enough that I will no longer go anywhere near MAC foundations. I think this would look beautiful on girls with normal, relatively clear skin. Back to Colorstay!

Terrible foundation, this was the first MAC foundation I purchased
and only because of all the raves about MAC and this foundation
BIG MISTAKE, at first I refused to believe this was making my acne worst because it was so popular, but this foundation was breaking me out even worst
I so wanted to like this product, but in conclusion HATED IT
I will never purchase a MAC foundation again, for reference my color match was NC50 with NW45 face powder I think

This stuff looks obvious on the skin, it doesn't give a natural look at all.
And worst of all, it gave me a cyst breakout!!! I HATE THIS STUFF!!!
Also, my dermatologist told me to steer clear or MAC foundations, and she was right (when she found out I was using this junk)
Hope this helps :(

I was kind of worried that this product would break me out as I have very sensitive skin, and for the first month it didn't. I was happy with it because it had pretty good coverage and it didn't dry too quickly so it was easy to blend. Then a few days ago I noticed my skin starting to feel weird and tingly.. like I could actually feel it beginning to break out. And yup, that's exactly what it did. I now have several tiny under the skin bumps (a sign of clogged pores), and about 3 breakouts on my chin. I really wanted to love this stuff, but it just wasn't going to happen. I've decided to stop using it immediately and go back to colorstay which doesn't break me out and is less than half the price.

When I first got this, I was elated. It covered my acne, and I looked nearly flawless. The color was just a tad bit too dark. This was how I felt for about a month, and I noticed it kept getting more orange as the days went on, but not too terribly orange. And then my acne flared up. My face looks HORRIBLE now, and the only reason this doesn't get a one is because it at least covers the blemishes and the SPF seemed to work for me without any other help. Not worth the money or the damaged skin!
My experience trying MAC cosmetics has been a total nightmare, I don't see what the hype is. No matter how well I took care of my skin, exfoliating 3 times a week, using dry skin cream, moisturizer, primer, a professional facial, absolutely NOTHING stopped this foundation from leaving VERY VISIBLE dry skin patches everywhere, it looked cakey and cheap. After giving it about 2-3 weeks, I had to return it, and the primer, it made me break out all over my face. I really tried to make this foundation work, and it didn't. It's a very thick foundation and not everyone's skin can handle it.
UPDATE: Trying this foundation has really screwed up my skin! I'm worried that it might have left permanent damage, either that or it's going to take an annoying while for the effects to go away.
I have been using this for years and combatting acne. I switched the cleanser, switched my moisturizer, spent hundreds of dollars on dermatologists, prescriptions, etc. Finally, I got a chemical peel and the Aesthetician told me to stop my liquid foundation. I have not had one acne since! Uurrrgh! Frustrating. All of this time and this may have been the cause. Crazy because I did like the coverage and the SPF. Too much and it would get into my wrinkles and age me.
