It goes on smoothly and seems to provide good coverage at first. But after a couple of hours, the skin looks shiny and coverage starts to fade. Unfortunately, as the coverage fades, the glitter/sparkles in the foundation do not. So you are left with messy, uneven skin with glitter in each pore to enhance any other flaws you may have with the texture of your skin. I'm returning this foundation.

This is the foundation I use if I'm going out for dinner -- dimmer lighting means the sparkle is less noticeable. Such a shame, since the color is lovely on me and I get quick and easy coverage. Way too much sparkle and coverage for day, though. I had thought it would leave me dewy (I bought it in the winter), but alas, it leaves me glittery. Didn't dislike it enough to return it, but I won't repurchase either. Don't notice any kind of especially rancid odors with the product, but it does have a slight chemical smell that may be off-putting to some users.

I have very dry skin. Initially when I put this foundation on, I LOOOOOOVED it. It felt great and my skin looked flawless. Then driving up the highway in the sunlight (after leaving the store) my husband told me that I looked like I was going to dance in a disco that night! I looked in the mirror and my face was shimmering like a little girl playing fairy princess! LOL!!! The shimmer is overkill; way too much for my liking. Not even subtle like some bronzers. So needless to say, I returned it. If you are going to be hiding inside and away from the daylight, then you don't have to worry. But you don't want to see anyone going from the car to inside! Clinique, please nix the shimmer! : )

This foundation was moisturizing, and came on sheer and light with a bit of sparkles giving you a radiant look. Unfortunately with clinique it doesn't have a yellow undertone foundation so the color didn't look quite right in day light for me. But I would totally recommend it for dry skin; of course you would still need a moisturizer w/ SPF underneath for an extra smooth finish.

I have extremely dry and sensitive skin and I found this foundation OK. I found more then 50% of the time I would need a major touch up within a few hours where most of the time my face would be flakey. Occasionally my skin would appear dewy and 'normal' for the most of the day before it all seems to disappear around lunch time. Although the foundation is not entirerly to blame - my skincare regime which consisted of all CLINIQUE products as recommended by a SA was actually drying out my face even more then it doing any good (apparently there is alot of alcohol in their products!)! I've now switched to Lancome's sensitive/moisturising range which has shown excellent results (which were not even closely achieved by my Clinique regime) within 3 days of use! I'm sure that now my skin is alot better this foundation would be great for everyday use, but I don't think I can ever trust Clinique anymore!!!

For those dry winter months this product works great! I have very dry skin and I have to continually moisturizer...but not with this foundation. In fact, I have to powder it down upon application in the morning...though I don't have to worry about drying out during the day (which is nice). It is a bit too moisturizing during the warmer months.

it is neither the best nor the worst the foundation i ever used .. here is the deal : The colors match quite beautifully , the coverage isn't great but enough for me .. i noticed the glitter everyone is talking about when i looked at my photos .. look waaay too shiny in the photos and i usually don't have that problem , my tubes smells awful as well ..like its expired or something , maybe thats mine only ..and it doesn't absorb beautifully so keeps rubbing off ( the phone is all greasy and beige stained even if i speak an hour or two after i put the make up on ) Moisture is nice .. but im only dry and maybe you have to be very dry to appreciate it more..

I got a sample of this in Bisque. It was a decent color match but I hated how it made me look oily instead of being moisturizing and had large visible shimmer particles in it that sat on my face really obviously. It also highlights any flakiness you might have. On my face it looked shiny, not glowy like I'd hoped. See Dior Forever powder compact for nice shimmer. Three weeks later the foundation had split into a clear oily layer and a pigment layer in the sample pot. Would not buy this.

While I'm not completely dry (I have the "classic" combo skin - dry on the cheeks, oily T-zone), I've found that this foundation works for me. There is "glitter" in it, I've found it to not be terribly obvious (unless I get "smart" and use BE Featherlight Mineral Veil - then you see a ton of glitter ;x ). I squirt a little product onto the back of my hand and use my 187 to buff on, maybe this removes some of that. I chose the shade called "Linen" which matches my NC15/BE Fair/Chanel Clair-ish skin.

Coverage is nice with this foundation. I wouldn't dare call it buildable, but for me and my method of application, I end up with light-to-medium coverage that sets nicely with powder. If I end up with some obvious places of over-application, I can use a spritz of Fix+ and buff again with my 187 to end up with a nice finish.

The tube is nice - it's easy to get product out of, but that can be a problem - it's easy to end up with *too much* product too, and you can't exactly get the leftovers back in the tube. There's a bit of a learning curve if you haven't used liquid foundation in a while.

Also, I don't know if it's my tube or what, but this stuff really smells weird. It's almost a deal breaker for me, but once I get the product on I don't notice any smells. For now, I said I'd buy this again - we'll see if I even finish it, though.

Excellent foundation for mature (over 50) dry to very dry skin. The dewy finish minimizes lines and imperfections. Can be applied for sheer or moderate coverage. Skin feels comfortable all day. I have not seen any glitter, sparkles or sequins as mentioned in other reviews.
