This stuff is AMAZING and apparently has a zillion uses but so far I have only used it as a body wash and haven't looked back!! This smells incredible, just like candy canes as my 3 year old son puts it, produces a creamy lather and leaves my skin baby soft. I rarely need to moisturise these days as this is so incredibly gentle. Just a word of warning! You may want to think before using this on your hoo-ha because it is COLD and tingly and justs feels.....odd.
My ONLY gripe with this is that the texture is very runny and creates a fair bit of spillage at times. I usually cup my hand and pour a little in or pour it directly on a sponge so none is wasted.
The price is great too, very affordable. continued >>

This stuff is awesome. It smells like real peppermint and leaves a slight tingly+cooling sensation as I use it and for a while after. Not the burning, stinging, OMG I have frost bite cooling sensation by any means. A teeny bit of this stuff goes a looong way. They even say that you can dilute it further, which I don't do and it will STILL last me ages. This is the gentlest and most refreshing soap I have EVER used. Even for my face! I have the worst dry skin ever and this is such a relief for me. Dr. Bronner's is a wonderful brand. I have the 4oz bottle and it will last for a very long time. It was only $3.50 too. They have the GIGANTIC bottles [16oz-32oz] for around $9-$11 which is such a steal in my opinion.

Ingredients:

What they claim:

Preferable to harsh soap & defattening synthetics. It does not cut dirt, but dissolves it. It is the mildest, most pleasant soap you ever used or your money back! Enjoy body rub to stimulate body - mind -soul- spirit..."

It would seriously take you a whole day to read this bottle. A ton of information has nothing to do with the soap, but the morals the creator of the comany carries and what the company as a whole supports. It does list everything and anything you would want to know about this product in detail, which I love. I don't know another company who has went so far to do that for their customers. Most companies will list their products on the box it comes in and not on the bottle and totally dodge posting them on their websites. That scares me, just a bit.

I was scared to try this because I saw the "no foaming agents." on the bottle. It doesn't foam? At all? This is going to feel like nothing but icky, icky oil. This DOES foam. It DOES create bubbles. I think they meant that it didn't have any ingredients like Sodium Laurel Sulfate. It makes your skin feel soft & clean; not like an oily, greasy mess.

Other scents:

Eucalyptus:[Great for colds and allergies. A natural alternative to other Vapor Rub body washes out there. The scent is not too overpowering]

Almond:[I have this too. Smells like Jergen's Cherry Almond Lotion. YUM!]

Rose:[Smells like fresh roses. Nothing fake about this smell at all.]

Baby Mild: [Scent Free]

Citrus:[My least fave scent. It's not a BAD scent at all. It reminds me of the Orange Oil cleaning products (not chemical-y smelling), which is fine... but I don't want to think about cleaning products when I bathe.]

Lavender: [Smells like the real deal. So relaxing. A must for lavender lovers.]

Tea Tree: [This didn't smell like Tea Tree oil that much to me. It smells good though].

These all also come in a bar soap form, if you prefer that over a liquid soap.

I wish that places around here would carry more of their products. I can only find this and the bar soaps. This is seriously worth a try. You have nothing to loose if you're looking for something healthy and different. Buy the 2oz or 4oz. The most you will loose is the $3 you spent.

I purchased this as a recommendation for eczema prone skin which I have ALL YEAR ROUND! YUCK! It's got an intense scent to say the least! I use it for bathtime soaks and so far it has helped slightly in aiding of healing/clearing some of the eczema I have all over my body. I did make the mistake of trying it out as a face wash and WHEW! WRONG! It stung and burned like FIRE! I couldn't wash it off my face fast enough! Which is a bit odd in that it didn't produce adverse reaction/effect on the rest of my body/skin. I am not sure on the repurchase as I have only recently purchased and used this product a few times, so we will see.

Dr. Bronner's are the only soaps I use in the shower. Lavender if I shower before bed, peppermint to wake up in the morning, tea tree when I shower after working out. The BAR form is much more environmentally friendly- lasts longer, weighs less to ship, recycled paper wrapper with soy inks. Skin Deep gives all of these soaps a 1-2 out of 10 for safety (lower is better).

I've used some of the other Dr. Bronner's soaps, but it wasn't until I tried the Pepermint that I decided to comment.

First off, do not attempt to use this soap if you have sensitive skin. My husband totally screamed in pain while using this in this shower! He said it felt like his skin was on fire! The tingle was more than he could bear! So a warning to you folks with sensitive/delicate skin - this is not for the faint!

So I had the entire bottle to use myself. While I wasn't bothered by the tingle and I enjoyed the scent, it's not an "everyday" wash for me. I mainly used it after my workouts as it left me with a clean and fresh feeling, but those were the summer months - I could not bear the coolness of the tingle in the chilly fall/winter months that's for sure. It took me a good while to get through the bottle and I did enjoy reading the all those little messages on the bottle while relaxing in the bath :) But I don't think I will be purchasing this again until next summer.

Oh, I wouldn't recommend children using the product. My daughter put some in her bath and the tingle really irritated her skin.

I bought this because I love peppermint and I saw it on a magazine where the editor said it removes product build-up in your hair. So far, the only thing I love is the smell - I expected my skin to smell minty after using as a body wash, but I ended up with a really ... Indescribable smell, but it's definitely not pleasant. It's too drying to use for your hair unless you have an unnaturally oily scalp, and although it has so many uses, I don't see the point on spending $13 on a 32 oz bottle that I won't use that often (I wouldn't want to spend $13 on a bottle of handsoap, laundry detergent, or dishwashing liquid when I can get it for cheaper & better). Until I find some useful things to do with this, it'll sit in my bathroom, unused. continued >>

This soap is so amazing not only the fact that it is an awesome soap, but it cleans my dishes and makes it incredibly shiny! I previously used the lavender, but now that I have the peppermint, I actually like it more because for some reason, it's more moisturizing. It really tingles your body after a shower! What made it even more awesome was that I had a period stain that I stupidly left on white pants for about three to four days. I used the soap and tried to get the stain out in the sink. I scrubbed and scrubbed and it lifted most of the stain, but still needed a little more. So, I left some soap on the stain and threw it in the washing machine with the rest of my dirty clothes and once it finished, the stain was gone! Like, the stain never happened! These are white pants, like anyone can notice a stain with how white those pants are white. If I used other cleansers, it would leave a light orange stain, but not with Dr. Bronner's! I'm greatly pleased that for the price I paid, it really is a value as I don't have to purchase other cleansers. The same stuff I use to wash my body can be used to clean my home safely. Yay :) I also love how it's organic because it has ingredients safe enough to eat since our skin absorbs a whole lot of stuff and it's fair traded and I can know that the workers who produce the ingredients are treated kindly and with love on the company's part. I bought it at the Vitamin Shoppe for $5.29 for an 8oz, much cheaper than where I used to buy it at Whole Foods, which sells it at retail price $6.99. Buy this soap!

HG for me. I only use it for a body wash though. Feels amazing after continued use. I swear the appearance of my skin has improved.
