I've been using this product for just over a week, I've finally found a moisturizer that doesn't irritate my sensitive skin :)
The constitency of this lotion is very light, absorbs into the skin without any greasy residue, leaves my skin very comfortable and soft like silk :)

I used this for six months and loved it while I was using it. But after a few weeks of usage I started breaking out with many small bumps (clogged pores) and white heads on my forehead. Previous to using Cetaphil I almost never had any acne/skin problems at all (I used jojoba oil for 2-3 years but it wasn't moisturizing enough). I attributed this to the sunscreen I started using at around the same time (BurnOut Zinc Oxide SS), however after a 2 week trip to China during which I used jojoba again instead of Cetaphil, my skin gradually cleared up. So, even for people with normal to dry skin that is not at all acne prone, this product MAY clog your pores and cause breakouts.

However, I do think it is worth a try because it obviously does not cause everyone to break out. The reasons I loved this moisturizer was that it was very lightweight, liquidy, and dried quickly without leaving any film or greasiness behind. However though it was lightweight it was also very moisturizing and left my skin with the perfect amount of hydration.

Sinks into skin and is very moisturizing, Doesn't leave that nasty - sitting on the top of your skin greasy feel. Doesn't make makeup slip if you put it on top of the Cerave. I have combo skin & works on all parts of my face. continued >>

What can I say. Thank you for this WONDERFUL product. I had to see a dermatologist because my skin so tight and would hurt so much when I would get out of the shower. Since using this moisturizer that has completely stopped. Feels so nice going on. GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT!!! What else I could say. Stop what your doing and pick some up. Oh another plus no sulfates in it which is nice and it costs around 13.00 where I live and is a good amount. Will last me for awhile.

I don't think this was for me. My friend recommended this, so I thought I'd try it out. I thought it would make my skin smooth; however, it was very--sticky. Not greasy...I can't really explain it. My skin didn't feel oily, but it had that feeling you get when you're outside in very humid weather and sweating a little, and I wasn't in that situation. It didn't make me break out, though, which is a plus. I don't think I'll buy this again because it made my skin feel weird and was expensive, but a lot of my friends love it.

I have very bad acne and using benzoyl peroxide, I needed a very good moisturizer that wouldn't break me out.
I searched and found this one, being kinda frightened to use it (in fear of it breaking me out), I began applying it only at night... since my skin was not breaking out and in fact became way softer (also flaking from acne treatment is decreasing ), I now apply it in the morning and evening and loving it!

My poor husband's skin is so sensitive. It's prone to flaking and reddening and frequent eczema-like inflammation. So what do most men know about skin care? I then observed that he often used bar soap on his face. Yikes! I'd heard good things about Cetaphil so I got him their cleanser and moisturizer. However, I was shocked when he informed me, a month later, that the this wasn't working for him.

I was at a loss for alternatives until I read the dermatologist for the Washington Post say that she recommended the drugstore line -- "Cerave" for patients w/ very sensitive skin. So I made haste to buy both the Cerave cleanser and moisturizer. After two weeks' use of this duo, he said how great Cerave works for him. Hallelujah! His skin is so much calmer. Early on I had to remind him that, he needed to *always* use the moisturizer, every single day and evening. He's keeping to the program, and his baby-sensitive skin looks so much better!

Recently, his brother shared that he was having the same skin problems hubby used to have. So Jim bought him he Cerave cleanser + moisturizer. Now, both brothers will not be without these this duo!

I am obsessed with CeraVe products! They all work amazing on my sensitive/combo skin!! I use this, the cream, the face wash and the PM lotion. I love the way they leave a matte finish on your face. I cant explain it. Its almost like it doubles as a primer. It goes on silky and moisturizes my skin, without leaving it feeling greasy.

This isn't as moisturizing as I need it to be but it is working for now until I find something better.

I have very sensitive, dry skin..this lotion is great and light. I need a much heavier cream at night, especially in summer when my face gets super tight and dry, I like the way my skin feels when I put this lotion on, just wish it was a little thicker. Overall, it did not irritate my skin and it is good to use under makeup for a light moisturizer.
