My mom had gotten this in Fair and I tried it on a whim when she said she thought the color was too light for her (I'm extremely white). I use it all the time now. My skin looks really good, but not like I'm wearing makeup. It lasts all day too, no primer needed. I wear Neutrogena sunscreen underneath and my face doesn't look shiny at all. I imagine most women would be the middle shade because Fair is definitely for really fair people. The cool thing about this stuff is that it has flecks of many different colors in it so it will match anyone as long as they pick the right shade range.
I have fair indian skin and use this product as a foundation it is brilliant, it covers acne and scars, don't be fooled this is not drying like a powder or shiney like a mineral foundation. This product is better than any foundation i have ever used and i have used brands such as Chanel, Lancome, Aveda and Estee Lauder.
This product gives a true radiance to my skin i love it.
Believe it or not I bought this originally in a set of baked cakes and never used it!!!
I decided to give it a go on my BB sand skin..and wow its better than anything ive tried.
Covers all the redness and blends with no mask like apperance.
Gives a Bloom like BE.
Makes my skin look Perfect.
Wears all day no retouching.
I am aware that its a liquid thats baked so sometimes the end result varies and can be lighter or darker..Hit n miss so I discovered.
But this pan is perfect and has saved me alot of expensive mistakes.
I like this as a setting powder, I don't really see it as a foundation. It does give some soft focus texture to my skin. I got this in a set, but I probably wouldn't buy it on it's own.
I have been eyeing this for a very long time....Im glad I didnt get it right away as the Fair came out and I felt that would be best for me. I was right. It is just what I was looking for my needs.
I do have very good skin, thank goodness, however, under the eyes are fine lines and can get crepey and slight dark circles. I can usually go out makeup free except for lipstick and eyeliner. But for those times I want to live large, this is perfect. Feels great, color is perfect for me.
Got this as part of a TSV and had a little as part of the balance and bronze (which I returned). Mine is nearly all quite a pale colour with a tiny bit of yellow (could do with a bit more) and some darker tan. Generally its just OK. Colour is pale enough but the finish is quite powdery, doesn't cover much and doesn't last. Has to be applied with a good brush.
I don't think I would repurchase as its not worth the £23 in the UK and you can't guarantee the colour mix. no SPF either. Worth a try but I prefer other brands like Benefit Get Even no2
I think this is a really good product and of all the skin perfecting products, it's probably my favorite. I ordered it after an offer on QVC and decided to give it a go due to the price, after reading reviews on here i expected to be dissapointed but was pleasently suprised. I am South Asian (Indian to be precise) and have a medium skin tone (NC44) and i found the colour matches really well, it is pretty much invisible on my skin, i rarely get spots or blemishes so can't really comment on the coverage from that point of view, but i have echzema on my face which is often red and irratated especially on my forehead and nose, but this covers the redness perfectly. I also have extremley dry skin, and obviously sensetive skin due to echzema and found this product worked very well, it did not stick in the dry patches in my skin and does set to an almost cream like finish, and is not drying to my skin, i can wear it all day without excess dryness occuring like i usually find with any type of powdered make up.
I got it at a good price so have no complaints about that (it retails at £23 in the UK, but i got it for £25 along with 6 other fullsize products and 2 brushes), my only complaint about this product (which is minor) is that the packaging is unattractive and looks a little on the cheap side, other than that it gets a thumbs up, it is very easy to apply, with no mess, just swirl your brush in it and buff on to the face. I would recommend this for others with a dry skin or echzema and would definantly buy it again.
I received a sample size of this product and thought I would give it a try. I was very surprised. I have oily skin and have trouble with most foundations. Not this on though. It did a great job covering my red spots, blackheads and the occasional blemish. I don't find myself blotting up the oil on face as often as I used to. I liked it so much I purchased the full size version. I apply it with a kabuki brush which helps to achieve a flawless look.
This wasn't dark on me, as others have written (I'm NC20-25, yellow undertones). I actually really like how light the color is on my skin, so I don't have to worry about messing up the application; a couple swipes and I'm out the door. The bronzer half isn't very noticeable, but the blusher half gives me a nice, natural light pink flush. I can't imagine hitting pan on this, but I'd buy it again if I ever did run out.
This product did not even out my skintone, cover redness, hide pores or make my skin look better at all. It's a very thick, dry powder. It looked like I rubbed red toned tint all over my face, & I bought the new Fair shade. It sank in my fine lines & emphasized my pores I think it's because of the glow it leaves behind. This might be true of all mineral foundations. I'd rather use a traditional powder foundation & then put highlighting powder where it normally goes over, top of cheekbones, under eyebrows etc. Highlighting your whole face with this product defeats the purpose of highlighting! So far I have been disappointed with all of the Laura Gellar products I've tried. I think she's just a good salesperson, her products are nothing special. I don't like how her makeup looks on her when she's on QVC so why should I expect to like her products.
