My mom bought this cleanser for herself and i also started using it when i ran out of my fresh soy cleanser, i think it kinda dried my skin out and also made me break out a little bit on my cheeks, but its a decent cleanser... any ways, im back to my old cleanser and my skin is good again!

I've been using this facial cleanser twice daily for the past two months or so and loved it when I first started using it. About 2-3 weeks ago, I started noticing that I was breaking out with cystic acne in several spots on my face. These spots have been there for 2 weeks or so solid, and I have been treating them twice a day (sometimes even three times a day). They are very deep and painful to the touch, and look horrible. The areas of my face that aren't breaking out are very dry, and I have also noticed that I am getting fine lines around my mouth and on my forehead since I started using this product. I'm only 22, I don't tan, and always put on an SPF before I go out, so I am fairly certain that it's drying out my skin. I have never had this problem before, even in my teens. I am diligent about changing my pillowcase every week or so, take fish oil supplements, don't touch my face, and eat relatively healthy food, so this product is the only factor I can see that is causing this problem. I used Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for years before trying this product out, and will likely be going to go back to it. For as pricey as the Philosophy line is, I'd think they would make a cleanser that is more gentle and effective.

I love this face wash!! It claims to be a makeup remover, a face wash, a toner, and a moisturizer which I find to be true for the most part. It definitely removes all of my makeup and leaves my face feeling clean and refreshed. Its very gentle on my dry, acne prone skin and never leaves it feeling more dry or sensitive. While you may not NEED a toner or moisterizer after using this I woud still recomend using one or the other or both depending on your skin type. I like to wash my face twice with this since I use a heavy foundation to cover up breakouts and redness from old scars. The first time I wash with this is to remove all my makeup then the second time is to really clean my skin. This doesnt make me break out at all and I think it is perfect for any skin type!

LOVEEEE this cleanser! Bit on the pricey side but, a little goes a long way for me so it ends up lasting me a while! I have pretty sensitive skin and haven't had any problems with this cleanser, will for sure be repurchasing!

I love this product so much. It works as a facial cleanser, makeup remover, toner and moisturizer at the same time. Unlike other makeup removers, its not oily but it totally removes makeup in one min. It's a bit pricey though but its worth it.

This stuff is just an expensive form of cetaphil. Did nothing for me. Didn't clean pores-left them more congested. Left my skin oily and left a film-same thing cetaphil does but at least cetaphil isn't overpriced. I know my mom likes this stuff but she is also 50 and probably has no oil left in her skin anyway. Horrible and made my face feel dirty.

This cleanser removes my makeup very well, makes my skin smooth and feels refreshing and gentle. No fragrance/scent, the only con is the price! Kinda pricey for the quantity. I use it along with my Clarisonic Mia and its a match made in heaven for my skin!

This didn't work out for me. I bought it based on the positive reviews. I have dehydrated combination skin (very oily t-zone, normal cheeks) and I usually stay away from sulfates. I knew before I purchased this that it has a sulfate in it but it's not one I've ever used before so I thought it was worth a shot. Unfortunately, it was a miss. It smells gorgeous and when I put it on my face it feels very mild and it just glides over the skin very smoothly. But afterwards my face feels tight. There was a time when I thought this was normal/inevitable, but I know better now. My face should not feel tight after washing. So this is too drying/dehydrating for me.
I'm glad I bought a travel size to test it out first. I'm now using it as a shaving cream and it works surprisingly well for that, but needless to say I won't be repurchasing this. It's not a terrible product and I can see why people with normal skin might like it, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with dehydrated skin (and oily skin can be dehydrated as well). If you know that your skin doesn't like sulfates, don't bother trying this.

I bought the 32 oz bottle of this(thanks late night qvc) because everyone raves about it. While it is amazing for removing my eye makeup, its awful for the rest of my face. Like many others I have experience cystic pimples since using this. My once dry skin has turned into an oil slick. After a couple hours I can touch my skin and see all the oils on my fingers. It's disgusting. I wish I could return this.

This product is awesome!!! I was having breakouts, and combination tendencies. I started using this in conjunction with weekly facials for about 7 weeks. When facials were over I continued to use this and it has become my HG!! It removes make up, has a very mild scent and doesnt sud up. It is a wee bit expensive, but my daughter and I use the 8 oz bottle daily, and it lasts for months. You need such a small amount.
