This is nice shade of brown, but nothing spectacular in my opinion. On my fair-medium skin it unfortunately doesn't show up very well, and the slight reddish undertone isn't very flattering on me. Also, it doesn`t blend as well as I`m used too from other MAC eyeshadows.
It seems like such a blah color, but this is one of my must-haves. I'm an NW/NC 15 and this is the perfect natural crease color for my skin tone. It adds the perfect bit of definition without looking like I'm wearing eyeshadow.
I love this soft brown shadow! It is great for retro red lip scarlet looks. Put this in the crease with ricepaper as a lid color. It is very easy to blend also. You may want to deepen it up with some darker browns on the outer V just to deepen the crease more because this color would not do its thing at adding depth because it's a "soft brown."
It's close to the same color as cork, but I particularly like them in the crease under a darker outer V. Great neutral medium brown. It was actually one of my first MAC eyeshadows. I would definitely repurchase it. The texture is pretty nice as well.
I am very pleased with this product. I have added some red to my hair and this also doubles as my eyebrow filler. I love this product and most Mac products thus far. I am a cosmetics newbie and I started out loving Stila only, but MAC is winning me over these days. And Wedge is not flashy, it enhances my very subtly, but I love it and I hope they never discontinue it.
My oh my, how I love this eyeshadow! This is the best neutral crease color I have ever owned. It is just perfect for a daytime look, not too light not too dark, it just defines my eyes perfectly. I love wearing this color with Naked Lunch and Phloof! Will definitely repurchase when I hit the pan (and I will!)
Edit: I have also started using this as a contour color, and it is perfect!
Perfect 'no make-up' eye can be achieved with wedge. A little in the crease, blend, and add a neutral color with a bit of shimmer to the lid and there you go. I use wedge everyday. Perfection. A staple.

Wedge, how many ways do I love thee? Let me count the ways...
I think with all of the shimmery, sparkly, LE & vibrant colors a lot of us tend to have in our palettes, the timid colors tend to get lost in the fray. But, while I may think those colors are pretty to look at, they often go untouched - whereas Wedge is a color I literally use on a daily basis.
It is a perfect medium, neutral brown color - it doesn't have those orange tones that can oxidize and appear unflattering on neutral or cool skintones, nor does it have that gray tinge that can look ashy on warm skintones. It really is: perfect.
I love using this as, what I like to refer to as, my "contour" or "shade" color - essentially on that space right above your crease, blended upwards towards the orbital bone. It gives you the illusion of larger eyes by working as, well, a contour and bringing the the focus upwards and outwards. I also *adore* using this is a blending color, in that same area, so that the transition from crease color to highlight is much more fluid and not just a stark shift. And, of course, it's perfect as a crease color on those simple, neutral days or if you're doing a classic pin-up look. It also works wonderfully for smokey eyes, to give a bit of dimension to black or gray shadows, or used in conjunction with brighter colors to tone them down.
Overall, it's just an extremely useful shade that can be combined with literally ANY color, and makes your look much cleaner, put-together and tonally sophisticated. Love, love, and love. continued >>
