I actually LIKE the simple casing of this product. Things i dont like tho, is that its so slick and oily and it makes my face look dewy and weird. Also, its so damn thick.
This is currently my foundation only for the moment as I have run out of my usual one. I used to have very dry skin, but I'm 5 months pregnant and the pregnancy has made my face oily. This foundation is kinda good for me at the moment because I only have to re-powder once during the day, however it does NO justice for my oily nose. It accentuates my nose blackheads and also makes me look greasy in this area. But, I've let it slide for now and still use it.
Okay coverage, doesn't do the best job for redness but still evens out my skin tone nicely. It's strange when it comes to the shade, I'm 115 light and when I am applying my foundation I could swear that I look bright orange, yet when I give it a little bit it seems to fit my skin tone just fine. One big con about this foundation is that when you step out into the sun, it's easy to look very greasy. Would advise oily skinned girls to avoid.
First of all, if you have oily or even combination skin with an oily T-Zone. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. This was the first foundation I bought and I thought it was perfectly normal for my skin to be shiny after an hour and for me to blot constantly, and for a little to rub off on things and fade through the day. However, now that I've been using the Revlon Colorstay for Combination skin, I know that this was exactly what it should've been: my first foundation.
I'll admit, the pigmentation and colors are precise, and even, when layered, covered up my acne scars beautifully. The undertones were perfect for my skin (350) and is still the perfect color to this day, however, it was not worth having to use a special oil absorbing face soap in the mornings, followed by oil absorbing primer, and topped will Covergirl oil absorbing powder.
Pigments are perfection and beautiful, especially for yellow undertones!
Not for combination or oily skin
Comes off after a few hours, as well as sweats off
Takes a while to dry
i returned it as soon as i could because it broke me out pretty bad. didn't even stay and made me look pink.
Why oh why didn't I read these comments before I purchased this product?! Rookie error I guess :)
This foundation is runny and streaky to apply with very light coverage - I could see my spots of concealer underneath, even after setting with powder. The bottle is nice looking, but I would never buy this product again.
I'm about NC30 with combo skin (only my nose is oily). The color 220 is perfect for me because it has a strong yellow undertone. I put on a serum, a primer or Urban Decay's BB cream, and use a Beauty Blender to apply the Fit Me foundation. I top it all off with a light dusting of powder (usually Tarte's Smooth Operator). I find that this combo makes the foundation last all day. I have to powder my nose a couple times a day but I have to do that with every foundation. I really like it! It feels and looks pretty similar to the Nars tinted moisturizer. I would say the Nars one is more dewy.
I reviewed this foundation before but I felt like I should give it a second chance.
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation is a liquid foundation and it gives a light coverage. It doesn't feel heavy on the skin, but it settle into my pores and it doesn't look good. The shade 110 is slightly too dark and yellow for me, which make my wonder how hard it really is to create a really pale foundation. I'm sure the most people will find their true match, but if you are really pale and have a neutral undertone you won't find a shade that matches you.
-The most people will find their shade
-Light coverage (if you don't like medium-full coverage foundations)
-Doesn't feel heavy
-I didn't find a shade that was my true match
-Settle into pores
-Didn't really do anything against my redness (rosacea)
-Doesn't last long (the foundation faded after one hour around my nose area.)
-Dry or Oily skin people - BEWARE!
I don't speak perfect English, I'm from Sweden.
Overall, a decent foundation.
I'm pale, so I got the 110 Porcelain, which matched. The first thing I noticed was the coverage - yeah, it's not there. I personally think it's a very light to light coverage. I have a little redness on my cheeks which this foundation does not cover.
Not for the really oily skins, the finish IS dewy and I don't think it lasts very long at all, even if I set with powder. If I put it on in the morning, it's almost gone by lunch. So even if it's not a long lasting one, I'm still a bit disappointed with that.
A big plus though, my skin has never reacted to it!
The formula is very... runny and like, wet. But I think it blends well with the skin, regardless what tool I use to apply it. Flat/stippling-brush, sponge, hands - all blends great for me. I did repurchase this once, mostly because I ran out of it without noticing and I didn't have time to research for a new one. I won't buy it again though.
So given thought to the price, range of shades, the indeed nice packaging... It's a decent foundation.
This was not a very good fit for my oily skin. I tried this in Caramel and it was a pretty close match. There is a very good range of shades for darker skin tones, I will give it that. Since I purchased this a month and a half ago, 3 new shades have come out between when I originally bought this. The shade I have, 330, was changed from Caramel to Toffee, and they've added 2 new shades at the darker end of the shade spectrum as well as Golden Beige which I think was just a rename/reformulation of another color.
This gave me sheer-ish coverage and a dewy finish, which I did not care for. I wouldn't have minded it so much if it had performed better. I wore it out with and without primer, and, either way, I found myself having to blot several times over the course of the day. Compare that to CG 3 in 1 which gives me sheer to medium coverage, and with a primer I might have to blot once if it's super humid out. It also faded off of my face after about 5 hours. Again compared to 3 in 1 which lasts about 8 hours and my HG of Revlon CS which I've worn for upwards of 12 hours, and Fit Me is just not that great. I don't know if it would last longer on someone with less oily skin.
All in all I think this is a good product if you have normal to dry skin. I think it may work better on me when it's less hot and humid out, but I still wouldn't repurchase or recommend this.
Love the packaging but as for the actual product, it's not for me. I've used other dewy finish foundations and I was always able to make them work but this one just isn't pretty on my skin. It doesn't have a long staying power, only for about 3-4 hours and that's not enough since I don't really like to have to reapply my full face makeup. I would recommend it for people with dryer skin rather than combination and oily skin.
