I bought the generic version online and used it for around 6 months. I am asian, and I have short, fairly sparse lashes. I found that my lashes were about 30% longer after 6 months. I applied the product to the bottom and top lash line, and my bottom lashes especially looked fuller and longer. However overall my lashes did not grow as long as I would have hoped, and they still looked short. I expereinced itchy eyes while using this. I think I developed fines lines under my eyes as a result of the constant rubbing. Therefore I do not think I would return to this product, as the side effects for me are too much!

I first bought careprost at all day chemist and I too had credit card problems!!!
I have been using it for about a year now and have had no side effects, at first I was using too much solution now a bottle lasts me at least 2 months.
My lashes look great really pleased I found a great site called aonebeauty, I live in Uk where they are based and each time I order they send really quick I have just order a few more. I have tried to find cheaper else where but they seem the cheapest and in UK which like.
I am a liitle unsure about using allday I cannot prove they passed my card details on but I have seen a few people have issues with them.
Anyway I how this review has helped

BEWARE ALL DAY CHEMIST! Careprost does work, it lengthened my stubby lashes beautifully and I had no reaction to it (discolorations etc). BUT unfortunately Alldaychemist has security problems and my card # was stolen and within an hour of placing my order there were several fraudulant charges. Thank god for fraud protection. DON"T BUY FROM ALLDAYCHEMIST.COM. Note- about a month ago I had no problem ordering from them, got my order, no fraud.

I am only on week 4 but I can already see growth! I used to wear lash extensions but now my eye lashes are as long and thick as the extensions. They are also getting darker, I used to have blonde lashes and now they're dark brown. I can't wait to see how they look in another 3 months if the growth is this amazing at 1 month! Also I have been applying to my brows which are much fuller and way less sparse. The first two weeks were kind of horrible because my eyes itched and were red along the lash line, but this went away within a week or two. Please don't rub or itch your eyes though if this does happen! Oh and no discoloration so far, my eyes are still green. I would suggest being careful where you apply it--it DOES cause hair growth.. even some random little blonde hairs on my eye lid I think from blinking too much while it was still wet and spreading the careprost all over my lids. So be careful where it touches!
One thing I can't caution enough though is please use a clean applicator everytime. I see a lot of people use an eyeliner brush and the bottle cap to apply, as I did for the first 3 weeks, and thats fine but clean it with alcohol or something after each and everytime. The reason I say this is because I now have pink eye in both of my eyes. I know its not directly because of careprost but it may be because I did not clean my eyeliner brush or the top of the bottle cap where I was dipping the brush. But my infection could also be from my night and day contacts or rubbing my eyes from allergies or from the itchyness of the careprost those first two weeks. So I still highly recommend the product because I know its a user error me having an eye infection. Just remember to clean your brush and bottle after each use or drop some on a q-tip like I am now doing and throw it away after each use. And remember not to scratch at or rub your eyes even if they get itchy!

Everyone needs this stuff.
I have very short lashes. And, in addition, because I stayed the night with friends who have cats (I'm very allergic) I rubbed my eyes so much that I swear I lost half my lashes. That was months ago and the damage was still evident.
I have only been using this product for a month. And my upper lashes are not lush - but there are not obvious bald spots. And the lashes I have are so long that I can't imagine they could get much longer. When I put on just a couple coats of mascara, it looks almost like Kim Kardashian.
I've also always had sparse eyebrows. I've been swiping a bit across my brows, too. There isn't must improvement as far as thickness - but the hairs seem to be getting longer. I may quit using it on the brows if that's all it's going to do for me.
While my skin is the opposite of sensitive usually - I use the strongest Retin A with no flakiness and can leave a 60% Glycol peel on forever - I was surprised that it did take my skin a bit to get used to the Careprost. My eyes were also quite red. In fact, I thought I was going to have to give up on using Careprost. But my eyelids did become accustomed to it fairly quickly. So if you have a mild reaction like I did don't give up.
I use the drop of liquid in the cap method. Then I rinse the cap and the brush with a little alcohol to disinfect both. After doing a little reading about it, I doubt that the Careprost (or Latisse) can really darken your iris. But I do think that a serious potential side effect is an eye infection. Not from the product itself - but from not keeping the cap and brush sterile. I think this should be stressed.
I will update this at the end of the 16 weeks. I was just too excited to wait though.
SIX WEEKS: Editing this review to add that while my eyes and lids are not irritated - they sure are red. Some days are worse than others. Reading up on this it appears that clinical testing showed that 3.6% (approximately every 30th user) of people will have red eyes as a side effect. Googling the words "red eyes latisse" it seems that this is, perhaps, even more common. I sure hope it goes away.
EIGHT WEEKS: My eyes are SO red. Looks like about one thirty people have this reaction and I have it BAD. They are not mildly red. They look like ... unhealthy. Like, if you saw me you might ask if I'm okay. Really red. It's not because of poor hygiene, either, because as you can see from my first post, I'm kind of paranoid about that. Still gutting it out.... I keep hoping that my eyes will get used to it. continued >>

I love this product! At first i thought its not gonna work because of the price and its from India, but I was ready alot of review and its seems pretty good. 1st week i did apply on my lashes I had some rashes but it did go away after awhile. I'm on my 8 weeks now and I can see the result already, I will post a picture of before and after...I will buy this product again...
This product has been reviewed to death so I'll (try) keep it short!
Pros
- long Bambi / Kim Kardashian-esque lashes
- Super cheap ( approx $12 per bottle at alldaychemist )
- lashes kept growing longer even after 4 months
Cons
- lashes are a bit hard to control, they're not as aliged / curled 100% in the same direction. I think I need to get a lash perm as the lash tips can't really be fixed with a curler.
- a few super tiny micro hairs grow near the tear duct. They can't be seen w/o magnification but they creep me out so I tweeze them - and it hurts like hell!
Overall - I love the look of the lashes, so I'll put up with the few minor annoyances that come with the product. I really appreciate all the girls on this forum taking the time to write reviews - I never would have known about the generic product without this site! Thanks!

Ok, it's day 4 using this and I could swear my lashes are already longer.
No strange side effects yet... other than some initial irritation on lashline.
It's only $10 + some obscene shipping, so I'd def keep buying it.
*EDIT*
It gave me headaches... Told my parents about it, and got laughed at... it's not FDA approved, so image of Indian man peeing into vat of chemicals comes to mind... got scared and stopped using it. siigh.
This stuff works. I am blonde hair with blue eyes. Eyelashes are almost white they're so light. Have been using for about 45 days and definitely have lengthening and darkening; bottom lashes too eventhough no application there. Not seeing the thickness I thought I would by now but am using Clinique lash primer, then mascara and this fills in pretty nicely.
You will likely experience some itching and eye redness during the first couple weeks of use. I have not had any pigmentation issues.
I reorder when I'm about 7 - 10 days from running out. Bottle lasts me 30 days; 2 drops in the cap applied evenly to each eye.
Lashes look great. Definitely recommend!
