This is a decent moisturizing lip balm. On application, it changes colour according to your lip colour ( or moisture level, i'm not too sure about that). Smells like vanilla mint, not in a bad way..it's subtle. Feels nice to apply..creamy consistency. Moisturizing but i wish it didn't change colour. If i wanted colour, i would apply lip gloss or lipstick. The lipbalm is a little soft than i'd like it but it's fine. Love the lip maximizer/activ collagen gloss though. Oh yes, Christian Dior is great with their packaging. This lipbalm looks so sweet and it's nice to take it out of my purse and have friends asking about it. :D Other than that, not a fantastic lipbalm for it's price so I will not be repurchasing.
Recently, I've noticed that this product isn't as great as I thought it was initially. The color payoff really isn't too good, I realized after I caught a glimpse of myself in natural light. I really recognized the lack of color payoff when I was getting ready for a date, and a friend of mine looked me over and said, "Do you want to borrow some of my lipstick?" -- even though I had already put on this lip balm. Oh well. More recently I've been smearing on a dab of a pink Korres lip stain instead - that definitely has good color payoff!

I had such low expectations for this product, but even if I'd had much higher expectations for it, I still would be impressed by how well it performs. There were a couple of reasons why I thought it wouldn't live up to its hype: first of all, stick balms (or really, anything non-Aquaphor) are rarely ever moisturizing enough for my lips, regardless of the season, and, second of all, the stick looks like one of those pale pinks that is shows up clear on your lips--and my naturally pale lips need color! Imagine my surprise when, assuming it would be clear, I swiped it on with a heavy hand, then looked in the mirror and saw that it was a bright fuchsia! Darker skin tones might be able to get away with that color, but I'm so pale that I had to tone it down by wiping some off and dabbing on a clear moisturizing balm. Now I glide it over my lips very gently, and still get a pleasant pink color. My only complaint is that (probably because I have to use such a minimal amount due to the high color pay-off) it really isn't very moisturizing for my perma-chapped lips for very long, so I often use a clear balm over it. But I am so impressed with the color pay-off, and with the fact that (now that I know how light a hand to use) I can swipe it on without a mirror, that I will definitely repurchase!
Love love love this stuff!!! It's highly moisturizing, gives your lips a nice sheen, and the color (on me) is a beautiful, energetic, lively pink. The packaging is GORGEOUS and so swank. I normally wouldn't pay so much for a lip balm/gloss, but it came so highly recommended to me by friends that I had to give it a shot. I'm glad that I did! I will continue to re-buy it again and again.
Highly recommend this balm. The packaging is wonderful, very comfortable and easy to carry around; the color it gives my lips is a nice, natural pink and keeps them moisturized even after a full day at the beach. Looks great when applied alone or if you need a extra boost, I use the Lip Maximizer gloss and get a great sexy pout. I have stopped using my other lipsticks and find myself hooked on the balm every day. Definitely will buy again!
I bought this about two months ago with somewhat low expectations. I've tried other products like this (Smashbox O Gloss I'm talking to you..) and hated them. I don't like the hot-pink-popsicle-lips-look on me. Although this lip balm is not any more revolutionary than the others (all of that "reacting with your body chemistry" stuff is crap), I have really grown to LOVE it! The color is beautiful, but you have to be careful when you apply it. The more you put on, the more intense the color becomes. So I just put one quick swipe on my top and bottom lip and that's it. And the result is the perfect glossy, see-through, rosy pink which really flatters my skin tone (NC30 if you're curious). The color gives life to my face. I also like to really layer it on til it's bright, and then put a lighter, milky pink gloss over the top..it's stunning. And the other great thing about this is how long lasting it is. It's almost like a stain and it moisturizes for hours. This is one of the few truly moisturizing lip balms I've tried. I will no doubt repurchase, it is a fabulous product. Although it is somewhat gimmicky (like all of these "color reacting" lip products are), it is super high quality and leaves me with the perfect effortless pink lip. My advice is to use it with a light hand.
Overall...I don't know. Maybe I'm afraid of "too pink lips" but this product can be kind of intense like other reviewers have mentioned. Too much and you have fuchsia lips. It can be cute with the right makeup - but I wouldn't call it that natural for me. That could be because I am ghostly pale but whatever. I think it's a keeper, but would I repurchase? Nah.
I've tried this baby again and love it! My hair is now back to natural (red) and this color looks so pretty, like a flush natural pink! I love it and would definitely repurchase and recommend but still complain about the price. Which is lame, Dior, lame.
This is the type of expensive item I wait for "cash in the points" days at Shoppers. At almost $30 CDN, its crazy! That aside, its a nice, subtle pink on me and goes on smoothly. I have very pale skin and pigmented lips, so it doesn't show up much- it seems on some, it can be bright, so test it in the store if you can and wait a few minutes. I like the low-fuss balm concept and its great on easy days. I don't find it as moisturizing as some balms, though, and find it feels slightly irritating like a plumper. The test is if I use it everyday and carry it wherever I go. I can see myself using it more in the summer, when I need less moisture and more ease. Will update.UPDATE: upgrading to a 5. I use this a lot and find it more moisturizing now. It fits easily in your pocket and a quick swipe without a mirror is all you need. It lasts well and is subtly flattering. A great go-to for everyday.
Dior has came out with 2 lip balms but this one is really good for a lip primers and it gives a glow to your lip color and its morsturizing more then a typical chapstick and this is good
Like moonbeam62 below me, I too am a paler (yet golden-toned) brunette with crazy full, yet not very pigmented lips. While I do love playing them up with lipsticks of all colors, I also like having a nice, natural look to them sometimes too. I usually get this by applying a colored balm, but not all look like "oh, this is my natural glow, how fabulous!" But this product really did it!
It's non-sticky and moisturizing, while imparting a beautiful, enhanced but natural rosy glow to my lips. They just look like well-nourished, wonderful lips without any product on aside from a very slight, moisturized sheen. They look very natural still, but give my normal, light every day makeup a finished look, not a bare one. This never turns clown pink on me, nor is it a glitterbomb. The packaging is to die for as well, sturdy, chic, and a touch of girly fun with the baby pink cover. This product is lovely, and well worth the $29USD I paid for it. A little goes a long way, and the result is wonderful. Nothing but praise for Lip Glow!
This has become my HG lip product!!! I am a very pale brunette with very pale full lips and have never been able to pull of a pink lip before trying this lip product.Pink or bright lips made me look like a clown. With this it was love at first aplication! Gone is my search for the perfect black cherry or berry colored lips! I don't have to be stuck in one color palette anymore because Dior Lip Glow gives me the perfect pink lips that look so natural and moisturized. It isn't sticky, it can be applied without a mirror, it hydrates the dryest chapped lips, and leaves a beautiful color that doesn't set in fine lines or dry patches the way others do.
If someone were to tell me I could pick one product to use for the rest of my life it would be this. Admittedly have been stocking up out of fear it should ever be discontinued since there is nothing quite like it out there. The packaging is fierce and beautiful as a plus. I wish the price were a little less, but something this good is worth it. I will buy this for the rest of my life or as long as its around. I <3 Dior!
