This is my HG highlighter! I tend to collect MSF's especially the LE shades, but this one I reach for 5 days out of a week. I am fair with NW20 skin, and blue eyes, and I love using this over the top of my blush, and on my forehead. It gives me a bronze glow that I love, and it is not too glittery like other products. I have even used this on my eyelids when I didn't have to time to do my make up and it looks awesome!

This is actually one of my more recent MSF purchases, since I usually concentrate much more on collecting the LE ones. However, just because this is permanent doesn't mean it's not as nice! In fact, it's one of my favorites. I absolutely adore By Candlelight MSF, and - on my skin at least, NC20-25 with light golden undertones - this looks like a slightly cooler version of it. It's not a drab beige, but instead a spectacular pinky-champagne color with just enough sheen to impart a lovely glow. Because - to me - it doesn't seem too cool or too warm, I think this would look lovely on a multitude of skintones. I love to use it on the tops of my cheekbones, or layered on top of my bronzer on my temples. I don't ever use this down my nose, simply because I tend to get oily there, and don't want to fuel the fire with more sheen!

Overall this is a beautiful color, and one that I never have to debate using since it's permanent and I can always get another. Definitely a good buy!

Don't let the light beige color of this highlighter fool you, even though it looks a little drab and over-the-top shimmery in the pan, once you use this to highlight the contours of your face you will fall in love with it! Just like you can't judge a good book by its cover, I have learned over the years that you can't judge the way a certain makeup shade will look on your face until you've actually tried it on. Sometimes the most boring, dull colors really play up my eyes the most and make them pop just as a really garish looking lipstick or gloss will actually good when I apply it. That being said, this highlighter imparts a luminous, radiant glow on my skin that helps me have an "afterglow" kind of look, just very natural and youthful. So try this and play around with it and you will see how good it looks! I think it would enhance any skin tone.

I looooove this!! It makes my skin look so pretty and glowy. I use this over foundation, and you can put it all over your cheeks or your t-zone. This sets my foundation and also can be used as a highlighter, depending on the look you're going for. It's a little pricey, but MAC products last a long time, so IMO it's worth it. My new HG!

Like some of the other reviewers, at first I didn't know what to do with this. I didn't see that it really added anything to my face, and if I put too much on, I looked liked the Tin Man. Finally, finally I figured out how to work this out on my face. I put on my bare minerals in medium beige, then I use my Coastal Scents big, flat-top brush and lightly dust this on, and then I dust some Nars Laguna on to kind of mattify and kill some of the sparkle. It looks so soft and glowy, and my skin is NOT soft and glowy! Try this combination - I promise it looks so pretty! :)

I LOOOVE this! It gives my face such a radiant/glowy effect!
I was afraid of this at first because I am not a fan of glitter (I.E. Ke$ha), and I wanted a good highlighter, but I took a chance and it's lovely.
I have oily skin so I do have to blot to avoid looking greasy.
I've been using it everyday since I purchased it, but from the reviews I really want to try the Prestige Skin Loving Minerals Sunbaked as a cheap/good alternative!

This product was a complete waste of money. This was my first Skinfinish and will probably be my last. As a highlighter this is way way way too glittery. It makes my pores stand out and on my fair NW15 skin it looks more like a bronzer than a highlighter. It does however make a nice eyeshadow so for that I gave it an extra lippy. I also dislike the packaging. The clear plastic lid pops out easily creating the potential for a huge makeup bag disaster. Then there's the price. Definitely too expensive for an over-glorified under-performing highlighter. I'm much happier with My DS Revlon highlighters.

Holy Glitter, Batman! I wanted to get a product for highlighting, but the SA at the MAC counter steered me into this. It was VERY shimmery/glittery in the package, but I figured it would not be as glittery on me once I applied it. Wrong. It was wayyy too much. I don't know if I applied it using a wrong brush, but this is not for day wear. Maybe if i am going out on the town w/ my friends or my bf, but not as an everyday wear. I was really disappointed. I really wanted this to work for me.

For refrence: I'm NC 25 with brown hair and brownish/hazel eyes. I absolutely love this MSF highlighter! When I first bought it, I wasn't quite sure how to use it correctly.. but of course, the lovely members of MUA have helped me out so much!

I take a flat topped brush and swipe some MSF, tap off the excess. Then I run it along the upper portions of my cheekbones [ you're trying to accentuate the portions of your face that you want to bring out - like the highest points of your cheekbones, the middle of your nose, the areas above your eyebrows, your chin, above your cupid's bow (upper lip) etc. ] and the rest of my highlight areas.

This gives a wonderful, gentle inner glow.. It makes me look so happy after I wear it! You can also use this as a highlight for your upper brow bone, or even an eyeshadow! If I want to add a bit of sparkle to my lips, I dip my ring finger into the MSF and get a tiny bit, and dab it on the middle of my lower lip and blend it in.

This is such a natural looking product.. and it goes so well with my skin. It is a bit on the warmer side, which goes perfectly with my NC complexion. I absolutely love it. It's a total HG for me, and I advise anyone looking for a highlighter to get this!

It also lasts all day long.. when I do my makeup at 6 AM, this wonderful highlighter is still there when I get home at 5 PM! I have rather sensitive skin, and it doesn't break me out in the slightest. I haven't had any problems with this product at all. There is definitely a generous amount that comes in the packaging.. I just wish I could afford to have a lifetimes worth of backups! =)

I'm not sure about this, I'm reallt trying to like it but I can't decide whether to hate it or love it.. It give's no color on my nw35-ish skin, it does give a nice glow but I find the glitters to be a bit chunky. If I put it on too heavy (in hope of getting some color on my skin) it turns silver and I look like I'm half robot half human :( I find the best way to wear it is to dab it on with a blush brush on top of my blush / brozer. It looks great from afar, almost like a glow from within, but up close the amount of noticeable (chunky) glitter bugs me. But I have to say I really hate chunky glitter, so I might be a bit obsessed. I really prefer the Body Shop shimmer waves.

It will problably work a lot better on fair, cool toned skin.
