This one was too strong for me.
I used it as a shampoo and shower gel just once and the scent lingered all day(great for people who like this scent) and made me feel sick.
I really wanted to like it because of the many reviews I have read but I couldn't bring myself to try it again for fear of the same reaction.
I got the mega size from QVC and really wanted to love it, but sadly, I'm going to return it tomorrow. The scent gave me a headache (their "soap and water" scent does as well, but "Falling in Love" doesn't--go figure!). It also seemed to dry out my skin and made my hair feel like straw. I was very disappointed. I'll stick with Bath & Body Works for my shower gel.
Oh my heaven!! This smells so beautiful. I got a sample from Sephora and absolutely fell in love with it. Even after I had used up all the gel I kept the little packet around so I could keep smelling it :)! As some reviewers have stated, this smells quite different than the perfume (which I don't mind, because I did not care for it at all), so even if you don't like the AG perfume, you shouldn't be afraid to give this a try! It's lovely! The one minus, though, is that it's not a very good shampoo, but what the heck, it smells so nice it's worth it! Will definately purchase.
This is my absolute FAVE of all the philosophy scents!! I just can't get enough of it. I have not used this as a shampoo, but I just adore using this as a bath and shower gel. I have already repurchased on several occasions and will most definitely do so again! I just LOVE Amazing Grace!!! :)
I am so surprised that I like this bath gel. I used to own the Amazing Grace perfume. It came as part of a fragrance trio, with Pure Grace and Baby Grace. AG was my LEAST favorite of the three. As a matter of fact, I swapped it away. I decided to give the bath gel a try, b/c I heard that even if you don't care for the AG lotion or perfume (like me!), you may like the bath gel. I am so glad I tried it, because I love the Amazing Grace bath gel! It is much softer and cleaner smelling than the perfume and body lotion. I shower before bed at night, and the delicate, feminine scent lingers on my bedding in the most delicious way. My husband is completely addicted! When he jumps into bed at night, he cannot stop commenting on how good I smell. I took 1 lippie off, because this gel does not make a great shampoo for me. My hair is color treated, and tends to get frizzy at the slightest signs of humidity. Even with my leave-in conditioner, my hair did not look shiney, nor was it very managable when I blew it dry, after using this as a shampoo.
This is another product I tried from shopping on QVC. I thought, "Well, if it's good enough for Oprah, it's good enough for me". Boy, was I disappointed. I don't understand what all the hype is about with this product. I tried using it as a shampoo when I showered, but it left my fine hair matted. I used the lotion after my shower for about 2 weeks. I noticed it didn't stay with me all day. I started getting headaches every day also. When I stopped using it, my headaches went away. I think it was the sickening sweet smell that got to me. I personally don't care for any of Philosophy's products. I can't understand why anyone would want to smell like a Cinnamon Bun! I'd rather eat one than smell like one. :)
I was hunting for some birthday gifts at sephora and tried a sample of the lotion. I am in love with this scent! I bought the 3 in 1 on the advice of the sales associate - I used it as a bubble batch/body wash and it lathered up incredibly with just a small amount. It left my skin very soft and smooth. I also bought a small spray cologne as well. I will go back for more products in this line and scent. I normally wear Eternity, this may be my new scent!
I received a sample packet of this 3 in 1 from Sephora and fell in looooove with it! So I got on an autodelivery kit through QVC that included this shower gel, lotion, salt scrub, conditioner ( which is the absolute best ever for my long hair), and fragrance spray. I love the smell of the shower gel, but the cologne smells different to me for some reason and I don't really care for it too much! I prefer falling in love cologne to amazing grace, but prefer the amazing grace shower gel to falling in love.
i LOVE the scent of amazing grace...it smells so innocent and young...reminds me of my childhood days...it doesnt give me a headache at all..i prefer this over "falling in love"...i actually like this concept of shampoo/shower gel bcoz its perfect for traveling!!! although my hair feels really moisturized and soft in the shower.....when i stepped out, i had a hard time combing through my hair so i recommend using a conditioner after shampooing (esp for girls with dry hair like me!) The scent lingers for a looong time too!
I tried this in my hair and was very surprised at how much volume it gave me! I have baby fine hair, and at best most volumizing shampoos work OK. This made my hair feel healthy and thicker. I'm not sure why, but it did. And for a shampoo, the price isn't bad: I've spent a lot more on shampoo that didn't do as much for my hair. I'll have to see how my hair reacts with prolonged use, but so far, so good.
