As a performer (musician) I need makeup that stays put when things get heated. This will stay put! But, that is also the problem, as I have a lot of problems removing it! A lot of eye makeup remover. It is very very black. And you can get a lot of dramatic looks. You need to use a very fine eyeliner brush, or a fine angle brush. Even as a trained makeup artist, I find it very difficult. Maybe it's just me. I think overall this is a very good product that stays on. But, I will not repurchase, as I find it too hard to remove!
Absolutely amazing staying power. Anything else the colour will fall off my eye from natural oil. This is truly solid dark black; I prefer the newer softer black with shimmer in it. So I stopped buying this and switched to the other colour; I wish I could remember the name but I can't at the moment.
I bought this eyeliner hoping that it would be the first one toi stay on my oily, single-lidded asian eyes all day.
I was wrong.
It smudged everywhere.
However, it did glide on easily, even when i used a crappy drugstore eyeliner brush. The black is a nice, matte black.
It did stay on with a primer though. And it was the eyeliner that lasted the longest on my oily eyelids before I found MAC's liquidlast. Liquid last is my hg, but this has easier application.
I often find myself switching between this with a primer and liquidlast.
Might repurchase this in a color that makes my iris "pop"
The little jar last forever btw :)

Best eyeliner I've used. It goes one so easily (I use the Bobbi Brown eyeliner brush, it's rounded rather than slanted and I think it gives better application) and stays on for ages. It even lasts in my waterline for a few hours, and nothing ever lasts in my waterline!
I often put this on very early in the morning and late that night it will still be perfect, except for my waterline. It's nice to set it with Carbon eyeshadow too, it looks even blacker and lasts even longer :)
It doesn't get a 5 for price though, because MAC is expensive here, this cost me €19 which is around $27. Still though, it's lasted a long time, much longer than my old eyeliners.
It's really trial and error with any kind of product.... you either love this one or it just doesn't work for you. As for me, this eyeliner is truly wonderful! I never have to reapply it and it looks the exact same from when i first did it to when i come home at night. I always go for long wearing products because I'm usually out for 10 hours a day or more and this is just perfect. Also.... it stays really nicely on my waterline. The only problem is that it seems to slip off in the very outer corners of my waterline... but it's a very small portion. Does anyone else have that problem? Oh well... its not THAT noticeable! Anyways... I'd suggest picking one up.... for 15 dollars, what do you have to lose?
I've tried a few gel liners but MAC's Fluidline Eye Liner seems to work the best for me. The consistency is great and it doesn't get dried out as fast as some of the other gel liners I've tried. A lot goes a long ways and it's so much smoother to apply than other gel liners. Blacktrack is truly a matte black and I love it. I do have to remove one lippie because 3 hours after I applied it, it sort of smudged at the outter corners of my eyes. But most eyeliners do (i.e. liquids and pencils) smudge on me even with a primer, which is a bummer. I have really oily eye lids. It's about $15 a pot, but this stuff lasts a long time. Just make sure you close the pot even when lining your eyes just to give it a longer shelf life because if you leave it open too long, it tends to dry out faster and that rule should be applied to any gel liners you use. I will definitely repurchase whenever it runs out.
I bought this as a replacement for my Bobbi Brown gel liner which dried up too quickly. I think MAC's has a nicer consistency - it seems much smoother going on - and although it smudges a little, the damage is less than with BB's gel liners. I also like that the black is a very dark matte black.
This stuff is expensive, especially with the brush, but it works SO well and it definitely worth it. I can't even remember when I bought it I have had it for so long, lasts forever! I don't use this on my waterline but some of my friends do and it stays on forever! It also comes off easy with face wash, I don't even use makeup remover. I would recommend buying the MAC angle brush that goes with this to get the best application. Best eyeliner I have tried!
This is the first MAC product I've tried and so far I'm sold. I love the look I can achieve with this! I had previously been using the Revlon Colorstay pencil (my former HG), but it smudged like crazy on my waterline. I needed something to hold up and found this gem. The finish looks similar to what I got from Colorstay, but there is ABSOLUTELY NO SMUDGING. I was sooo suprised when I came home and saw that my eye makeup stayed in place! The jar is great except for it being made of glass, so I only gave a 4 for packaging. I use theBalm eyeliner brush from Sephora (it was only 5 bucks!) and it is so easy to use. However, the only thing I have against this is that it doesn't apply well over damp skin. It leaves a grayish color, so make sure your eyes are completely dry. Other than that, this is great.
