I usually love Benefit but Bad Gal is a terrible mascara, it smears and does not last longer than a couple of hours. Also the brush is unwieldy and hardly distributed any mascara to my lashes. Will not buy again.
OK... let me tell you that this mascara is awesome... The only thing is that it is too pricey in my opinion.
First off, this product has a huge brush which makes it really easy to work it and covers a lot of area at once. The formula doesnt dry too fast like diorshow so it gives you more time to work with your lashes without getting spider lashes.
If you have long lashes like me you can get away with drugstore brands but bad gal gives my lashes the fake look.. IN A GOOD WAY.. it looks like im wearing fake eyelashes and everyone comments on my lashes.
"OMG those are your lashes.. you are so lucky..."
So if you have money to spend get this mascara.. if not, I would suggest maybelline Volum' Express mascara..
I LOVE BOTH.. but I love BAD GAL MORE!! ;)
My best friend has sworn by this product for years but I've always been hesitant to try it due to all the bad reviews. Then a few weeks ago I got a bargain on a best of Benefit set which contained Dallas, Bad Gal and Eye Bright for £23! I've been wanting to try Dallas for a long time, and already use Eye Bright so I was very happy that day! Anyway, so far I'm impressed with Bad Gal. It's very black, seperates and lengthens my lashes and keeps the curl through the day. A lot of people say that this smudges easily but I haven't really found this to be a problem at all. I'm not 100% convinced that this is my HG mascara but for the moment I'm happy. I'm also a sucker for Benefit packaging and really like the big tube. The fat brush takes a while to get used to but once you get the hang of it, it's easy to apply.
I don't like this mascara at all. The only reason I rated it a 2 instead of a 1 is b/c I did not notice that it straightened out my lashes after curling, which deserves a point in my book.
However, it might be because I couldn't get any product out of the darned tube. I swear I would have to put on about 10 layers of this stuff to equal one layer of my Tarte mascara.
The wand is HUGE (bigger than lash last) and I find that to be overbearing. I really don't believe that the fatter the wand the more volume you will have. I believe it is based on your curling technique, how you apply your mascara and if your mascara can separate instead of clumping.
The best tip I ever got for mascara application is to use a different (clean) wand to comb and separate the lashes after mascara application.
No, I would not buy this again. I find it to be more about packaging (fun colors, etc.) than anything else.
LOL, what are you guys talking about? I'm in LOVE with this mascara. This is absolutely perfect. For the last three years, I've been searching for the "holy grail" of mascaras, and I've finally found it. It volumizes to the max, provides just the right amount of length, NO clumps, and I actually don't find it that difficult to apply. Granted, it takes some getting used to. But once you learn how to put it on correctly, the results are totally worth it. It almost looks like fake eyelashes! I'm telling you: once you go Bad Gal, you'll never go back. =]
Absolutely the worst mascara I have EVER tried. It smudged all over and did nothing to my eyelashes...no volume...no curl...no length. I have asian eyes without creases and my lashes are stick straight. If anything...Bad Gal lash straightened them more. I used it once or twice and threw it away. Complete waste of money.
this mascara was horrible, like others have said, it didnt do anything special and smudged all under my eye area. a waste of money IMO.
I've been using this mascara for the longest time now I do switch from time to time with the drugstore brands but I like coming back to this one. It does great things for my asian thin short straight lashes. It volumizes and lengthens them. I can see how others wouldn't like it so much but it takes time, when you figure out how to properly apply it, trust me it's great. And with clumping I just comb the clumps right out with my tiny lash comb. I love the jumbo wand too! I recently recieved a sample of the Diorshow mascara and applied it to one lash and Bad Gal on the other and I still liked the Bad Gal better. The downside is it does become pretty dry so my solution is to get the half tubes available at Sephora near the registers and only 9 dollars so half the price and you won't have it long enough for it to dry out. Gotta get one once my full tube is done with. :]
I'm not sure why I bought this mascara. It is hard to apply with its massive brush to my asian eyes. It takes forever to dry so when I open my eyes it leaves marks on my crease. It is also very clumpy! Not recommended.
Ok so I bought this mascara twice..Only because the first tube was so dry I thought it was just a bad tube, but it's REALLY THAT DRY. Anywho..the wand is huge and hard to apply. I only used it when going out at night because its not really a mascara u can use all day, it smudges easily and quickly. I had to check my makeup regularly because of it, it's too much of a hassle to use this, especially for the money I would think it'd be of better quality but it does lengthen and adds volume, just too much smudging for me. :/ Won't purchase again.
