The package is hygienic as it comes in a pump bottle. However, I've used this for around 1/4 and its been sitting on my shelf ever since. Personally, i find that the plasticky texture of this make up base is not sensitive skin friendly. And it aggravated my acne. Not value for money in my opinion.
I would like to think that my skin is not sensitive at all. I'd buy and test products and it wouldn't have any negative effects on my skin, HOWEVER, I was really disappointed after trying this product 2x. It made my face itchy while it tingled!!
The product is expensive and doesn't not deliver at all. I really wanted to like this product, but it just brought me itchy spots on my face.
Some say that I should have tested a bit of the product before buying it. I used this primer after a few hours of buying it to a party and it was great, only then after a couple more uses did it show its side effects!!
I was super excited about this product , that i had to go buy it i was looking for a primer that would do its job and look good in pictures or at least last for the day. However It dose not work for me at all, I hate it i regret buying it!! i prefer prep and prime by MAC 1000 times more!!
I got the sample size of this (half ounce) for $16. I like how this makes your foundation glide on and have better blendability. Also, it helps to keep your foundation, concealer, powder etc from looking cakey. I was dissapointed in the fact that this really hasnt done much to control my oil. Without primer, I'm shiny in my t-zone within 3-4 hours and with primer maybe 5. I'm Sure this would bea holy grail item if you were very good about blotting and re-setting your makeup throughout the day, but being a student...I can't constantly touch-up my face throughout the day. I like this primer, but im glad I didn't purchase the full size. I would reccomendjust buying the smaller size because it lasts a really long time. And if you like to try out products fairily frequently, then the smaller size is a great option for you.

If you don't want to have your whole face break out, it is common sense to test a new product on a small patch of skin (and wait 24 hrs) before applying to your entire face. I feel bad for people who broke out after using this product but that is your own fault for not testing it first.
Smashbox has some great products for professional looking makeup. However, I completely agree with the majority of the reviews: this product is not so great for people with combo or oily skin. Primers act like a moisturizer under your foundation + powder, they make it easier to apply foundation and are essentially meant to create a barrier between foundation and skin.
This primer is a bit wet/oily to begin with so definitely do the research on primers for oily skin if this doesn't sound like it's going to work. Maybe MAC prep + prime will work better for you.
I hate this primer! It was one of the worst primers I've ever used! I really should have tried the light primer instead of this one but at the time this was only one available in the travel size. It just feels like a film that sits on my skin and it made my face even more oily than it already was. I will neverrrrrrr buy the full size of this. ever.

I don't really understand what the hype is about. I tried this underneath my normal oil-free foundation and I broke out like crazy... Also, it smells terrible.
Awful for my skin. I put it on under foundation before i went to a party. by the time I arrived at the party, my face had broken out all over! It was so embarrassing. I didn't know until i went to the bathroom 30 minutes into it. I washed my face immediately and it calmed down. I should have known as when I applied it, it stung a little. I know it's not my foundation because I have worn it without primer and breakouts do not happen.
