This is a good summer foundation imo. It has a slightly dewy finish and is medium to full coverage. It doesn't feel cakey, even when you apply it badly and it looks like a mask. The best way I've found to apply is with a sponge, dabbing, focusing on parts of the face at a time. A foundation brush is ok too but the one I have makes it look streaky so I have to fix that with my fingers. A sponge is just more even than fingers but that'd work fine. Anyway, sometimes I noticed that as the day went on the coverage went away, so using any kind of primer is a good idea, but not necessary. It covers blemishes well (this didn't affect my skin badly in any way) and I have a redness on my cheeks/face and the neutral shade evened it out well. I think having some kind of powder over it looks really good and be careful of making your face all one color... Some kind of contouring or blush will fix that fine. This all may sound like a lot of work but they're just suggestions and they really work for me! I definitely get lazy tho :P hope this helps! I'm almost done with my first bottle and I'll buy another soon. Btw if you have cool toned skin like me, stay away from those shades cuz they're too pink. Having a neutral shade helps even out redness too, like I said.
TL;DR Better than Revlon's Colorstay
This is my first ever review here so here goes. I bought this sometime at the end of 2012 and hadn't been using it all that much because it was too oily for my skin. It was summer where I was at so the foundation really just melts away after a while and the coverage just disappears. However, I'm in a place of winter at the moment, and they were right about your make up looking only as good as your skin. I applied a really good moisturiser prior to the foundation, and because it was cold, the coverage stayed pretty well as my face was less oily. I wore it for like 11 hours straight and I still got a good coverage! I had to mattify my face every now and then using Benefit's Dr Feel Good and that really helped to keep my skin looking matte. And what I really like is that the foundation had an oil base; explaining why it is so easily blendable. My only advise is to not wear it in a hot season if you have oily skin. Otherwise, it's a good product for a drug store foundation.
this was on sale at Walgreens, so i picked it up on a whim. silly me, i didnt come here to read the reviews first. but like mentioned a gazillion times..this stuff is greasy and definitely not for someone like me with oily skin and definitely NOT in the summertime. i almost melted away!!! i had to keep blotting and fixing streaks constantly...it was very annoying. i couldnt wait to get home and wash that junk off! i did like the shade though..i have a medium brown skin tone with yellow undertones and the shade c7 was a pretty good match for me. coverage was decent, i didnt have to spend a lot of time building it up. it doesnt come with a pump and can be messy to apply. the makeup ran down the outside of the bottle and i had to keep wiping it off. Walgreens...this is coming back to ya!!
I love this foundation! Lightweight, full coverage and includes SPF. They have made it so easy to match your skin color by making each shade in a Cool, Neutral and Warm shade. Really what that breaks down to is, is your skin pinkish, yellowish, or neither aka neutral. The best thing about it is Rite Aid, CVS and other major drug stores are allowing cosmetic returns these days, making it very easy for you to choose the shade you think is correct and take it home to try it out. If it's not right, take it back and try again. Your shade is out there, you just have to find it. Remember, the correct shade will disappear when you put it on! Ideally you wont be able to see it on your skin at all! Take a look at in in indoor and outdoor light to be sure, that way you avoid the dreaded visible foundation line at your jaw.
I use this foundation as my "lazy day" foundation, and I really do like it! There are just some perfect foundations out there. In this foundation, I use N1 under my eyes, N3 for the rest of my face, and N6 if I want to add a bronzy glow or contour to my face with liquid. I like the ability to blend this out for light coverage or to apply thickly and set with powder to create a super full coverage look. I really love the light feel of the foundation no matter how much I apply. The only issue is that I am quite oily and I can get oily very easily in my t-zone if I don't use the right powder. All in all, for the price, I'll continue to buy this foundation and use it on my lazy days.
Prior to buying this foundation, I had heard a lot of good reviews on youtube and also had a friend who really liked it, so I decided to try it. It went straight back to the store after its first use! It made my skin oily even with a setting powder and didn't provide much coverage. I will not be buying again and there are much better drugstore foundations out there!
Been buying this foundation for years now. Nothing else compares. I am very fair and this is the only brand that has my perfect shade. Great texture. Very smooth, natural looking foundation. I am hooked for life!
I've bough 4 bottles of this foundation! It's amazing! By far the most blend able foundation ever. I'm NC30 and W4 is a perfect match. I think it is great for all skin types. but if you do have oily skin i'd wear a good primer and set with powder. it's about medium coverage and that's all I need really. the true match powder is also my holy grail.. Def recommend this foundation! only con would be it doesn't have a pump, but it doesn't really bother me much.
After seeing many rave reviews about this product I thought I'd give it a go as I'm obsessed with getting my skin looking as flawless as possible. I got mine for £10 (and this was full price) which I think is ridiculously cheap as I have been using it for a couple of months now and still have about a third left. It doesn't leave your skin looking dewy and shiny which is great as I hate shine on the face. It also seems to go on so thinly and the product itself isn't very thick which worried me as I like full coverage but it somehow manages to make my skin look amazing and cover all red patches so well without even feeling like you're wearing anything. I don't have to top up during the day either and that's without any setting spray as I ran out of that a while ago and have yet to buy more. Amazing product.
I really dislike this foundation. It makes my skin look greasy, it doesn't stay put and it doesn't provide good coverage. I definitely won't be buying this again. The concealer and powder from the same line are good, so I expected to like this, but it's the worst drugstore foundation I've tried in a long time.
