I have been using this product for years. This, in combination with a wash cloth, takes off all my makeup (except waterproof mascara). It doesn't dry out my skin and doesn't give me that dry skin feeling after cleansing either. My skin just feels clean and clear. Every so once in a while, I buy other cleansers that I think will work that are a little bit fancier but Cetaphil always works for me. I will continue to purchase this for a long time.

I have had a hard time finding a cleanser that doesn't irritate my skin, yet still cleans the oil off. After trying all sorts of high-end stuff, I tried this, and it works pretty well. It removes foundation pretty well, but left my eye makeup partially on, so eye makeup remover is still necessary. Otherwise, it's a good cleanser.

I have purchased this facial cleanser over and over again. If you have sensitive skin, this is the stuff to use.

I started to use Cetaphil at the suggestion of my dermatologist. My skin is sensitive, oily, and acne-prone (I really couldn't be unluckier here) so I really should have been using irritant-free products a long time ago, but the bland packaging really turned me off, which was so stupid of me.

I use an oil cleanser to remove makeup, so I didn't factor that in my rating. For those who do care, it's pretty lousy at removing makeup so don't expect any results here. It hardly lathers up, which I thought was going to be an issue, but it really isn't. It got all the oil off my skin, rinsed easily, and it felt clean without feeling stripped or irritated. Normally my face is pretty red immediately after cleansing, but not in this case (only slightly red). I'm almost done with the 8 oz bottle and I haven't broken out at all. My skin has improved. It also works well with my Clarisonic brush. I will keep using this until I find a better cleanser for my skin type. As I've been finding out, a lot of sensitive skin cleansers aren't that good at removing oil.

This was okay. I bought it because I was worried that my acne-fighting face washes were too harsh, and I was doing more harm than good. So many people recommended this. I used up the bottle that I bought, but I don't think I'd repurchase. It didn't break me out any more than i already was, or irritate my skin, so for that I applaud it. But I also felt like it never really *cleaned* my skin. Since it did pretty much nothing for makeup removal, I was using a separate face wash for that, and felt like I was kind of defeating the purpose of this super-gentle cleanser. I have since switched to using an oil cleanser, which I have had a lot of success with. To each their own, but for me, this wasn't my favorite.

I've used Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash for years but I finally reached the point where I could use a cleanser without salicylic acid...it was really over drying my skin. I bought this per my dermatologist's suggestion, thinking it would be gentle. The bottle even says, "removes excess oil without drying". That claim definitely isn't true though. It's so rough that immediately after I wash my face, I have dry patches on my cheeks and my face feels tight. I'm going back to Neutrogena.

This was really good for me when I had oily skin. Really liked it. NOT FOR PEOPLE WITH DRY SKIN.

I have acne prone, eczema and rosacea skin.
I use this cleanser at night as it's better in removing makeup compared with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. In the morning, I use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser.I have been using this cleanser for 1 year. It doesn't clog my pores or dry my skin.

i rarely write reviews but i had to write a review for this product.
i have acne-prone and sensitive skin. i used this product 4 days ago and had to stop using it immediately because it broke me out so much. my face didnt feel clean after using this product, didnt even remove my make-up, worst part is it made my pores large and acne scars more prominent.

My HG cleanser. I used to use a bunch of prescription and drugstore acne cleanser, but they really dried and aggravated my skin. Enter Cetaphil. It cleared up my skin and is super cheap. LOVE!!!!!!!
