Works good and didnt make me break out but I will not repurchase because it doesn't make my skin look good in between wearing it. Cheap, and great for starters or those on budgets. Decent, but I've definately moved on, mainly b/c of ingredients and all that.
I'm on my 6th bottle; it's my "go to" makeup, my default.
It doesn't offer much coverage, but it nicely evens things out (skin tone, any pore issues) and brightens my complexion a bit. It's quick and easy to apply, too. This is the ONE foundation I can carry in my purse without worrying about spillage (bottle design) or application (you can't do it "blind", but you don't need a makeup mirror and special lighting to get it right, either).
My only issue with it is, like with many other foundations, when I'm dried out or flaky (wintertime or allergic reaction to another product), it just makes the dryness look worse. So I wouldn't call it 'hydrating', except insofar as it's not 'drying'.
it seems to do pretty much the same job as my burts bees tinted moisturizer. although it did match my skin perfectly and thats a hard thing to do. i got it in #710 classic ivory (thats what the site suggested). its a bit on the sheer side but thats ok w/ me. i just wanted something to cover my pores and redness, which this does. but my bottle smelled odd, bad bottle? i dont know
UPDATE: apparently im just not used to the smell, but the bottle was ok, now since my burts bees is DCed =( i guess this will have to do till i find my HG. i like korres ginger & vitamin but damn i dont have that kind of money so CG will have to do till i hit the lotto. This is almost my HG,very close. Iam happy w/ this till i can get my hands on Korres,i recomend this over the tinted moisturizer. this covers better and is actually more like a tinted moisturizer than the other (its too watery). So ya buy this =) continued >>
I've tried So many liquid/powder/creme foundations, from so many different brands, both department store and drugstore, and I'm Very surprised to say that this product is really great. I think it would be rather too heavy to wear it alone on a day to day basis, but it works Great when you add it to some moisturizer and use it as a tinted moisturizer. Tinted Moisturizer usually never does the job for me (not enough coverage), but my skin breaks out if I do that whole, moisturizer + primer + foundation + powder thing. But this product is just perfect =)
- So cheap
- Good colors. I'm a NC 25-30, and the Buff Beige works really well on me
- long lasting, controls shine
- does not enlarge pores or make me break out
- when mixed with oily SPF cremes, my skin just drinks the mixture up. It finishes matte, and stays that way for the rest of the day
- tacky packaging
I would definitely buy this product again =)
Personally, I used this and it was okay for a few spots that I needed to blend with another product but over all I really didn't like it and for 8 bucks I would have expected more than something cheap feeling. Despite the watery feeling once the make up had dried it felt heavy. I really wouldn't buy this again.
This was my first foundation and I had extremely unrealistic ideals it didn't achieve. It's a pretty good foundation that evens out minor redness and leaves a natural finish. The colour, natural ivory, is pretty good and matched my skin nicely. It just doesn't have the coverage I need for my acne prone skin and it doesn't say it's oil-free or anything, so it might clog my pores. It might be better for drier skin.
Eh, simply put- I didn't like it. It's just like any other light liquid foundation I've tried. I bought the lightest shade and it was still a little too dark for me. I found though, if I used it in conjunction with a moisturizer it blended just fine. However, If you looked up closely at my skin you can just tell I'm wearing foundation. I don't think it's just this, it's every liquid foundation that I try. From afar, it looks fine. Or even just a few feet away, it's not going to scream out "foundation!" But I need something that isn't obvious, (undetectable would be a better word) when someone is up-close.
I'm sticking with my aerosol foundation :)
I've used this foundation for about a year now and really like it. It's really light...doesnt make me look like I'm wearing foundation at all. I still need to use concealer in certain areas of my face though, and it doesn't last too long. I would recommend it for anyone with dry/combo skin and just want to hide some acne scars or just even out their complexion.
This is definitely not a hydrating foundation. It has a very nice consistency, light to medium coverage, but the name is very misleading. And staying power is very poor (a couple of hours). I won't repurchase.
As someone with acne scars from my youth, I tend to lean toward thicker foundations that offer more coverage. I was in love with the Covergirl Continuous Wear makeup...that is until I went to buy another bottle and discovered that it had been discontinued. I mean I have used this stuff since it came out many years ago. Although this isn't as thick, it still works beautifully and blends easily, I'm just hoping that covergirl won't keep needlessly discontinuing products.
