I loveit!! <3 it's really does make you look like u have falsies on! It's lengthening and volumingzing at the same time, and gives u perfect curl! the only thing is is that it's super hard to get off :( ill always have leftover mascara on my lashes even after ive tried washing my face and using all the eye makeup remover in the world. But i think its worth it! :)
This unfortunately is one of the worst mascara i tried. Yes it does make your lashes look amazing yes it makes them fuller and longer. So why do I dislike it so much I hear you ask if it does all that??? Reason being is because the formula is water resistant it was difficult to remove then it left fibres in my eyes so I had to purchase an eye bath to get them out not good :( made my eyes run terribly too. I'd say a great mascara if u don't have sensitive eyes as it did work but unfortunately for me I didn't like the fibres or tht fact it didn't wash off easily :(
After receiving a sample of this mascara for my birthday 6 months ago I immediately fell in love. I wasn't expecting much from the product at first, I've never been convinced paying more than $10 for mascara was ever worth it. Then one day Groupon had a coupon for Sephora so I purchased it specifically so I could buy a full sized tube of They're Real. I'm very impressed with the dramatic difference that this mascara does for my lashes. It gives me everything that I look for in mascara. Length, volume and curl. I'm not much of a morning person so while I'm busing to work I use that time to put on some make up. I can pull this mascara out of my purse without having to bring along an eyelash curler too. To me, the hefty price tag is worth it. No flaking whatsoever.
In terms of formula, I don't find this any different from other mascaras. It lengthens and darkens nicely, but my l'Oreal Telescopic does the same, and staying power is comparable too.
One of the reasons I do like this mascara a lot is the wand. My lashes are straight and medium in length. I like that there are bristles on the tip of the wand instead of the stub that other mascaras have, so I like to turn the wand vertically and use the tip to get at the stubborn little lashes in the corners. The only other mascara I've found that has the same wand is Revlon's PhotoReady 3D mascara, but the formula is worse. :(
So, until I find a replacement, this will be my go-to mascara.
ok so I don't usually care for mascara I always wear it but to me all mascaras the same... I decided one day I wanted to splash out and treat myself I started wandering around the benefit counter in boots and tbh its all a bit hard to understand I love their packaging but havnt a clue what any of it is!!! I spoke to the counter lady and she was wonderful I usually hate face to face sales but she sat me down asked if I wanted to try gave me testers of two mascaras and they were the same disposable wand I saw so much of a difference! my lashes looked so much longer and lovely I was instantly sold! downfall was it was 19 pound! anyhows it doesn't last that long dries up very very quick I was disappointed in that! :( I did buy it in the airport on the way to holiday with a smaller one free with it for 16 pound so I didn't mind and holiday money feels like free money to me haha so I have bought again but don't know if ill keep buying over and over again!
I bought this product because everyone was talking about it. I went into ulta to ask for a mascara recommendation and this is what they told me. I could not justify the purchase so I asked for other recommendations and they wouldn't give me any they told me they're real is the best thing out there. Several months later at sephora I tried it on with one of the tester brushes. I LOVED it it looked amazing I didn't use a curler and it looked like I had! so I bought it. It was a lot of money for a college student. They next day when I applied it it didn't look nearly as good. It was wet and throughout the day it feel off. I was not impressed neither was my mother. It clumps and it makes the lashes look soo funny After reading reviews of people saying after it dries out it works better in willing to give it another try. And once I do that I will update this review. Maybe that's the reason I loved it so much at sephora I was convinced it was because the tester brush did such a good job. Overall I am not impressed with this product at all
I've been using this mascara for over two months by now and I admit I'm disappointed.
Since everybody is raving about it, I was really sure that my quest for the perfect mascara was about to end when I purchased They're Real at Sephora. I did just try Chanel LeVolume (which I found far more convincing) but I trusted the lovely girls at Sephora to buy They're Real because "it's the best, hands down".
This mascara promises to give extraordinary length and volume, so much so that people should start wondering if you're wearing false lashes (otherwise, why naming it "They're Real"? lol!): about length, it keeps its promise. I had a YSL mascara before and it's not even close to this one. But the volume... sorry, but in my case it just doesn't work. I have regularly thick, but "sloping" lashes and, even though it also gives some curl, the volume simply isn't there. If I try with several coats in order to achieve the right volume (unsuccessfully), the only results are "spider paws" lashes and lots of clumps. Besides, the mascara dries out quite fast, hence is even more complicated.
I tried to apply it in several ways, because I thought it was my fault. But the fact is that, clearly, it isn't the right mascara for my lashes.
I'm not going to say it isn't good: to some extent, it is. But not compared to its own fame of miracle product, in my opinion, and not for everybody. Hence, my suggestion is to try this out before buying it and, most of all, trust your instict: my istinct was suggesting me to buy Chanel but I let Sephora shop assistants to convince me. :)
And my quest continues...
All I have to say is I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE this mascara! It does a great job at separating the lashes and making them look longer! The packaging is super cute also, I would really recommend this mascara for anyone who wants volumized lashes!
Honestly, I love this mascara. It is dark, separates lashes perfectly, and most importantly; it does NOT flake. The only problem is that it dries out within like a week or two. Not down to buy it every week....
I hated this mascara. The brush is annoying and i kept poking myself in the eyes over and over no matter how many times i tried (ONLY mascara this ever happened with), the formula was thick and made my lashes spidery, and my eyes stung like crazy from it. I tried this mascara 5 times, the brown one and black and both were the same for everything wrong with it.
I have no idea what is with this product or why I kept poking myself lol, but I will not spend that kind of money to poke my eyes out and have them sting like crazy. I immediately grabbed my Covergirl Lasblast as usual and thought, ok...back to DS brand again. I am convinced DS is better for mascaras...I have yet to find one high end that has beat them IMO.
