This is definitely a very versatile brown. I particularly love it mixed with pink on the eyelid. I would describe the color as a medium brown, that stays true brown on the lid. If you need a great everyday color for a light smokey eye, a great crease color or a color to mix with pinks/lavendar/peach it is a great staple to have in your makeup bag.

Cork is a satin light medium brown color that seems like it would be very much looked over but this is one of my favorite eyeshadows because of how versatile it is. My cousin who's a MAC MA gave me this color to fill in my brows. It's great and is dark enough to fill in my brows but light enough so that my dark brows do not look harsh. I also use this to blend out smokey brown colors with my 217. My favorite way to use this e/s is using Grain or any light neutral color on the lid and Cork in the crease, with Blanc Type as a highlight. Cork is great as a crease color for those days you want a natural yet sophisticated and polished look.

I love this all over the lid with Brule as a highlight and Romp in the crease for everyday eye.
The colour is so pretty and it blends so well but still keeps it's effect.
I love it!
Another HG and ontop of rubenesque paint pot with a little bit of carbon/expresso in the crease great everyday look.

This is great for brows on my NC 43 skin tone, and light/brownish auburn hair color. On my lids it's very neutral/dusty looking so I avoid using it on my lids.
Yes, I love cork, too. I'm NC35 or NC40, C4 skin, yellow golden tone, Asian. First after reading ALLURE Eva Mendes cover Jan 09, they showed you how to contour your face. They recommend NARS Blonde for medium skin as a contour shadow for your eyes. So, I bought it, but I feel it's still a bit too transparent on my skin tone. Then, I found Cork thinking it's similar to NARS Blonde. I like Cork more, it's still very subtle and natural, about 1 or 1 1/2 darker than my skin tone. I just love the result and I don't have crease eyes like Western people do. It actually giving you some depth illusion, my eyelids look deeper. I did apply it on the crease of the eyes, although it's non existent. But with that technique, you can get the result. I use my MAC brush, forgot the number, it's white tip for drawing lines on your eyes and I blend it with MAC 224 black tip brush. You need to blend, blend and blend like a wiper left to right. It's great for an eye base as well and you can top it with some colors if you wish.

This is just a really nice basic. Great quality, texture, blendability as I find to be the case with all MAC shadows.
Color is a light to medium warm taupe brown, has a bit of a golden undertone. No shimmer or glitter.
I use this in the crease with a fleshy color in the lid for a very basic but contoured eye. Really brings out the blue in my eyes, nice for a natural look.

Cork is a ochre brown. It is a warm tone so if you are trying to avoid warm browns, stay away from this one. The color is neither too dark or too light making this a nice crease color from light to medium skin tones. The texture is smooth and has a slight sheen to it since it is a satin one. Nothing shimmery or chalky matte. The color goes on smoothly and can be blended easily with other colors. Layered, this color acts as a base for those wild colors and tones them down a bit making them wearable for daytime or office wear. Nice neutral.
