Smells good, but does not deliver the result. It seems to coat the hair with a nice scent and that's all it does. I didn't feel any "cleansing" effect from the foam. The worst thing is, the hair takes forever to air dry and ends up feeling like straw. Very disappointed.
I purchased this product because I have dry scalp and try to go 1-2 days in-between washing my hair. The product sprays on evenly if you hold it about 10 inches from your scalp. I spray the product where my hair parts and on the crown of my head. It goes on silver white and I leave the powder in for 3 mins (while I brush my teeth) before I rub it into my scalp. It does a decent job of absorbing excess oil on the scalp, smells good, and a little goes a long way. I don't like how it dulls the color of my hair and how it sprays on white .I also don't appreciate how it leaves my hair feeling like it has friction; I can't run my fingers smoothly across the strands. If they made this in standard colors (blonde, brown, black, red) I would be so much happier with this product. Will I buy again? I'm on the fence.....
I bought this because I had never tried dry shampoo before and it was in the clearance bin at Publix. Well it is now no surprise why it was on clearance. I normally never have oily hair and this made my hair so greasy that I couldn't even pull it up and make it work, I had to shower before I left the house. I gave this a chance many times, using less and less each time and it never failed to make my hair a greasy mess.
Same problem here as most the other reviewers. Left my hair very oily.
I saw Tresemme's commercial and was excited to buy this, because I've grown sick of Batiste's smell. I used Tresemme for the first time, and all seemed well at first - nice smell too. Brushed it out, and almost immediately my hair looked like a greasy, disgusting mess. Much worse than it looked before spraying this on it. Luckily it was a lazy Sunday and I didn't have to leave the house.
A few days later I decided to give it another shot before tossing the can. Same results. This is garbage. Batiste might smell weird but at least it makes my hair look clean.
I should have read these reviews before purchasing this dud. Cons: 1) After using it two times, the sprayer was clogged beyond repair. 2) The fragrance, though pleasant, is overpowering. My entire house reeked. 3) The product doesn't work well to absorb oil. My hair was totally wilted and greasy-looking after a couple of hours. Pros: None. Threw it in the garbage. Would definitely not repurchase.
Don't know why all the bad reviews. I love my TreSemme dry shampoo, no residue, dries out completely clear and works wonders on my dark and slightly greasy hair.
NOTE: I use the UK version called TRESemme Instant Refresh volumising dry shampoo - maybe it has a different formula than the american one (Fresh Start)
i really wantes to like this product but it made my hair feel even more dirtier than what it already felt. i did as instructed but it didnt look "fresh" as what it advertisted. the smell is ok. ever once in awhile it works but not completely satisfied.
For reference, I have wavy hair (but it is straightened daily). My hair accumulates oil a bit faster than I would like, but I can go a day without washing if I use a dry shampoo.
I tried the Suave Dry Shampoo and was not pleased with it at all. I had been running very low on my Oscar Blandi (the powder version) I wanted a cheaper alternative and thought I'd give this a try. Boy did I make a mistake. This stuff is terrible. It actually behaves nearly identical to the Suave Dry Shampoo so if you really want to give this a go, get the Suave. I used as directed and unlike the Batiste, which is also a spray on, it leaves my hair feeling even dirtier than before. It weighed my hair down and I couldn't even run my fingers through it, let alone a brush. I feel like I hit my hair with a ton of hairspray and now have helmet hair. It's awful. I should have listened to everyone's reviews. If you truly want to try a dry shampoo, try the Batiste. It is miles better.
This was my first "dry" shampoo ever tried. The ads on tv looked promising so I thought for just a couple of bucks I would pick it up and try it. My hair is very oily and needs washing everyday (if I want my hair down), if not, then it must be pinned up to look somewhat done. Anyways, when I first tried it, before it even landed in my hair, it clogged up. It took me several minutes just to get it unclogged. Horrible! Then when I finally got it on my roots, (I followed directions to a "t"). My hair became somewhat "clean" feeling but nothing that WOWed me. Will I buy this again, NO. Very disappointed.
