I really like this foundation!! It I so light that I can't even feel it on my skin, it really does even out my skin tone without looking cakey. So far it hasn't broken me out or anything so I guess it's good. I think it's good for any skin type I have combination skin and it works fine, my face does not get very shiny by the end of the day.
I reeeaaally wanted to love this product! I loved the coverage it gave, and in the store the shade Linen looked amazing... but then i got home and realized it was way too dark for me :( If this came in even just one shade lighter I would repurchase! oh well!
Pros: hides dark circles and my freckles, easily applied....
Cons: leaves face quite shiney but my wonder Benefit Hello Flawless powder sorts that out. Colours are a bit weird and I find it hard to find a match (I'm usually a MAC NW20)
I wasn't expecting such good reviews. The color choices were very poor - the closest one that matched me was too dark. Also, my whole face was shiny upon application and stayed that way - I looked like a grease ball (And the SA was the one that applied it for me). How come nobody else is mentioning that? I will say that the coverage is good though. Never used it long enough to tell if it could actually fade marks.
Of all make up items, I am most picky about foundation. I will freely splurge & spend practically any dollar amount providing I find one I love.
Clinique's "Even Better" is the one I keep coming back to, there may be a foundation out there that performs better for me but I have yet to find it.
The sunscreen is mainly titanium dioxide & zinc oxide, non chemical ingredients that do not irritate my eyes like a lot of the synthetic sunscreens can.
However, a good sunscreen does not mean much if the colors do not work with ones skin tone. Before "Linen" came out I used "Ivory" which looked lovely. Linen has more yellow in it & helps balance out the pink in my face. I've even bought "Alabaster" once & that shade also worked for my fair skin. The shade "Fair" I found to be a tad too dark for me. With that said it can be difficult to decide on a shade since some of them look very similar to one another. Clinique is great about taking back anything that does not work but to avoid this altogether I suggest asking for a sample or two to take home.
This is easy to blend and the texture is silky and has the coverage level I am looking for - medium to almost full. It will dry to a semi-matte finish and even in my dry areas it does not look at all cakey.
I still enjoy trying new foundations - both Drugstore & Department store brands - but if I were stranded on a desert island, this without a doubt, would be the foundation I rely on.

This is the best foundation you can find on the market. Seriously theres nothing better than this out there. I tried everything out, like Chanel and MAC and Dior and YSL etc. but nothing comes close to this foundation. Clinique just make the best foundations on earth!
It has a natural finish, the coverage is very good and it evens your skintone just as promised. It last all day long, doesnt matter if winter or summer!

This product had a nice consistency and at first, looked promising. My skin is pretty clear and I just need a light-medium coverage for previous blemishes and to even out the skin. This product did nothing of that - it didn't even out or cover anything as it claims to do. This is really disappointing for clinique which although is not super expensive like some brands, is still a luxury brand. There are so many better foundations out there like Chanel vitalumiere aqua and many drugstore foundations. I would avoid this - don't waste your money.
Omg. I looked orange. I got matched in boots to honey. Im nc30ish in mac. I have olivy skin. I wore it to work the next day. When i got there at 06.45, i looked inthe car mirror and even in the morning dark i looked orange. I had to wipe it off. Took it back the next day. Good thing id asked for a sample cos in the uk u cant return foundations once their open. The sa tried to match me darker. I gave up and went to debenhams. Thus time thought i was on a winner in neautral. Well my neverending search for a matte long wearing non spot creating unmask like foundation continues cos neautral in daylight looks brown. Im asain. I am brown enough without the help of darker foundations thankyou. It basically oxidised. The finish is lush so im very dissapointed:(
I feel like this is a perfect foundation for somebody like me. I used to have acne, now I get a few blemishes here and there. But I need good coverage with my makeup because I have acne scarring and discolorations.
pros:
medium coverage
natural finish
great shades
after about a week of use even my bf noticed my skin looking more even.
cons:
requires a primer and powder. otherwise it's sliding right off your face.
requires touchup throughout the day/ oil blotting sheets
after a couple weeks the spot fading effect seemed to stop
I like this better than the acne solutions makeup.I have been wearing this for only 2 days now so I shall update in abt 2 weeks.
My color is Golden and it has a strong yellow undertone, perfect for my skin. When applied, it is not too matte (like the acne solutions) but I always apply mac blot powder on top to set it.
The coverage is medium but I feel i dont need a concealer with it...I have hyper pigmentation and acne scarring and this covers that pretty well.
Update: I feel I do need a concealor with it. It doesnt cover some of my hyperpigmentation. Also the shade golden is a little bit light but I use the mac blot in deep dark and this fixes that. They say blot has no color but I dont buy that crap. It does add a tint for me.
