After reading all the reviews about this brush my expectations were very high. After finally arriving in the mail I could finally see why all the girls were so excited about. It is one of the softest brushes I have ever used. Also for the amount of money that I paid I couldn't be happier.
I mostly use it for applying my finishing powder and sometimes foundation. I think it is perfect for applying powder because due to its shape it allows you to set everying beautifully.
After my experiences with thier white handle brushes, I had an extreme aversion to anything E.L.F. I could never bring myself to buy anything from their line. About 2 years later, after seeing numerous people on youtube and here rave about thier studio line of brushes, (this one in particular), I decided to bite the bullet and buy it. I am so glad I did! First of all the brush is so soft; like a rabbits tail, or a chinchilla! It applies my foundation beautifully. Also I use it to apply powder to my under eye area as a highlight. It does that amazingly well too, since the bristles are sooo dense. I am so glad that I decided to give this brush I try. I def will buy and extra one to keep on hand.E.L.F. is redeemed in my book!

I generally disliked this brush, I don't want to put anyone off because I know a lot of people like it but in my opinion its useless as a powder brush.
Pros:
Its soft
Looks nice and professional
Cheap!
Cons:
If I use it for buffing it makes my foundation go so cakey and dry!
It also seems to rub off my foundation even when I use it ever so gently.
For me the best way to use this brush is dab the powder on using the flat top and to tap it off using the side, I don't use this for liquid products as it is extremely hard to get clean and sheds a lot, unlike any of my other E.L.F brushes!
I hope this helps!
I have used this brush for two days and LOVE it.great blending with true match liquid foundation.1 lippie off due to the drying time after cleaning it.
UPDATE:LOVE THIS BRUSH WITH A PASSION

I first bought this brush back in 2010, and I fell in love! It was only $3, and worked very well both for applying powders or as a stippling brush. It was my daily go-to brush. Fast forward a year and a half - I went back and ordered 2 more last year. Given that I live in Canada, I have no choice but to order online, so I don't get to "see" what I'm getting. I was very disappointed when they arrived. The quality of the brushes I received were sub par, and it felt like the bristles were very sparse. It was nothing like the first brush that I had purchased in 2010. I gave these new brushes a chance, and it simply did not pick up any product (powder), nor did it blend well (liquid).
It's always a gamble when ordering E.L.F. products; It would be great if they had some more consistency with the quality of their products.

AWESOME brush for applying mineralized highlighter! I got MAC Superb Extra Dimension Skinfinish and was about to return it because it wasn't applying right with the brushes I had or my fingers. I read the reviews for this brush and gave it a go. PERFECT application for stippling the highlighter! the brush is soft and doesn't shed.
FYI-I don't use it to stipple/buff foundation so I can't say if it's good for that ot not.

A must have! Great for blending and those occasions when lotions and makeup "pill", buffs the pills away.
GREAT product. Amazing with foundation, doesnt lose hair, good price.
ONLY CONS: I dont know how, but the handle separated from the brush... i had to fix it with glue or something like that.
But for the price, its amazing and it takes me like 2 min to blend the foundation into the face giving such a natural look.
a soft flat top synthetic brush... the perfect stippling brush for liquid foundation. i wonder why this is called a powder brush bc ive tried applying maybelline dream matte powder which this and it was just weird and awkward. the brush doesnt shed until after a few months of constant washing. for $3, thats okay and id be happy to repurchase. its very easy to handle and stipple/apply foundation, i use this with revlon colorstay. i think the only con would be on SOME brushes (ive repurchased 5+ times) the hairs can feel scratchy, and starts to shed easily. but on some the hairs are perfect. so its a hit & miss.
I used this for the first time today with my Bare Minerals original spf15 foundation and had superb results. I was about to give up on Bare Minerals because it looked cakey on me when I used their brush (piece of crap) and even my MAC 190 foundation brush. This ELF brush seems to have solved my dilemma!
PROS
--- even application and easy to buff into my skin
--- made me look like I wasn't even wearing makeup
--- very soft bristles
--- bristles pick up product well
--- sleek design!
--- such an inexpensive brush for such quality results!
CONS
--- a synthetic, unpleasant smell when I first used it (even after washing it the night before)
--- the first brush I opened in the store had some bristles stuck together (maybe glued?), so I would avoid buying this brush online in case I got a dud.
I loved this brush so much today that I'm considering making little Christmas packages for my aunties, who both use Bare Minerals too.
