I've gone through several bottles of this makeup remover. Is very light and slightly oily, but it doesn't leave you with that greasy, oily, blurry vision feeling that some makeup removers do. I've tried other makeup removers but I always keep coming back to this one.
BEST Make-up Remover imho. It will remove everything completely, including glitter and really tough eyeliner/mascara. It doesn't hurt your eyes -- not even a little bit. It does leave a little oily residue, but I just run a square of toilet paper over the oily skin and it's fine.
You don't have to scrub at all to get anything off, except maybe for a very intense eyeliner (like the 24 hour stuff), and even then, you don't push hard or rub, you just have to swipe over it 3 times instead of once.
This is the best makeup remover I've tried. It gets even the toughest waterproof mascaras and eyeliners off. It doesn't burn eye at all. I use this with cotton rounds and it's clean and easy to use. It's a great product.
BLAHÖ I donít normally start a review that way, but itís the first thing that comes to mind when I think about this product. It does remove most makeup (2/5 for that), but I have a really hard time removing mascara. I have to scrub until my eyelid gets irritated and pieces of cotton get stuck in my eyelashes... I have tried a few different cotton pads and none of them seem to make the process any better. I shake the bottle and everything! Lol
Regardless, I hate the oily feeling the is left on my skin and a few of the ingredients are less than desirable. I have sensitive skin, so any remaining film freaks me out. I switched to using Grandpaís brand Thylox Sulfur Soap or Grandpaís Pine Tar Soap Bars as a makeup remover before cleansing instead. Both are so much better and completely remove all of my makeup in less time. Oh, and they are about half the price.
This is the BEST eye makeup remover. I've tried more expensive brands like lancome, and shiseido, and also drugstore brands but this is the best, especially for its price. It lasts a long time and you don't need much to get all that make up off.
This is my HG eye makeup remover. This removes EVERYTHING, and I wear a lot of eye makeup, including waterproof mascara. I tried the L'Oreal eye makeup remover once and it didn't even come close. I've been using the Neutrogena one for years.
WHATTT! im really surprise at how many people that says this couldn't take off makeup well. Living in a blazing hot and humid country, I only wear waterproof products. I'm talking about industrial strength waterproof not just water resistance. Mac Liquidlast eyeliner(i wore this to swim all the time and it wouldn't budge), Covergirl Lash blast waterproof, Maybelline XXL (double sided) waterproof AND THIS MAKE UP REMOVER IS THE ONLY THING THAT WILL GET IT OFF!. The trick is to soak a cotton pad and leave it on the eye for a couple of seconds before sliding it down. DONT USE Cotton Swop because it will drag your eyes and cause wrinkles. LOVE THIS PRODUCT
Im on my third bottles now and have 3 more in stock because they dont sell this where I live currently :(
Until recently, I used this stuff for years. I thought it was a great deal for my "sensitive eyes." Gets makeup off quickly. But my eyes were still sensitive, often bloodshot.
Then, after a lovely Lancome MUA told me my eyelids are incredibly dry--SO dry that the kohl pencil she used on my lid actually dragged--I had an epiphany. I went home, checked the ingredients, and there was the culprit: ALCOHOL. Fortunately, I'd bought Lancome Effacil Gentle Eye Makeup Remover. Used that at night and the next morning, and my eyes were immediately much better. Within a few days, all excessive dryness gone.
Long story short, if your eyes are sensitive, don't use this stuff.
I usually like all things Neutrogena, and this stuff does a good job of dissolving my waterproof mascara and eyeliner, but after using it for a while, I also noticed it dried out my eye area, giving me gross little white flakes. Discovered regular old olive oil works just fine, and doesn't dry out my skin.
I use make-up removing clothes to clean my eyes but it's often not enough to deal with my eyeliner and mascara. That's where this stuff comes in- it's like magic!
It removes tough eyeliner and mascara like nothing. My only warning is that if you're using it to help touch your make-up up (for example thinning an eyeliner line) to be careful. This remover is very powerful and a bit watery so it can smudge onto make-up you want on.
The formula actually has two layers (so it looks similar to oil and water, but this remover is oil-free) and is supposed to be used after being shaken (so says the back of the bottle).
My suggestion is to pour a little into the cap or other small cup. I personally use Q-tips to touch up make-up so I only use a little bit at a time. As for actually removing make-up, I add a little bit of this solution to my removing wipes and it works like a charm.
