No need to repeat what everyone else has said. LOVE! For the price, it's an absolute steal.
This is by far one of the best makeup purchases I ever made! I was on a waiting list for a year, so when I got the email from sephora I bought it right away and I am not disappointed! There are so many different possibilities for colour combinations. It's the only palette I use.
best makeup product out there for an everyday look, it is truly amazing. i suggest everyone to buy it. and urban decay is not the same quality as cheaper brands i prefer their shadows to mac, so i suggest everybody to purchase their palettes they are amazing!! :)
I really debated between giving this 3 or 4 stars, but I think I most wanted to rate it 3 stars just because of all the hype, which isn't very fair to the product itself.
This is a nice palette. Most of the colors are very usable, even if shimmery, and it's nice to have so many neutrals in one (portable) place. However, the actual packaging leaves much to be desired (tacky velvet-y coating that collects dust/fallout very easily). When I first saw the box I thought it would be a click-closed palette and was quite excited, as that would have made it even better for travel. However, it is held shut by a magnet and is actually less secure than TF's Neutral palette.
It's a warm-toned palette, which is probably very annoying for cool-toned individuals. It is not without fallout, especially of the annoying glitter variety, and even on my light (NC15) skin there's not a huge difference between some of the colors.
A lot of people were upset about getting the brush instead of the eyeliner, but I don't really see anything wrong with it (except for the $4 price hike). The brush is very good quality for something you get in a palette. If you don't like the brush, the place in the palette for it is big enough to fit many other full-sized eyeshadow brushes. The mini UDPP is, regretfully, still the one with the annoying doe foot applicator (I'm sure everyone would be happy with the brush if they got a squeeze bottle UDPP). I use TFSI, so I didn't really factor that into my review.
I would recommend this to warm/neutral toned people who either love neutrals and want a bunch in one place for ease/travel/work/whatever (I switch back and forth between this and the various TF palettes for work) or who are just starting to build their e/s collection and want some better-quality ones.
(Please excuse any grammatical errors, it's 4am, lol)
While I love this palette, while waiting for this I used the avon 8-in-1 palette and honestly it is of the same quality. So there are definitely cheaper options out there.
One of the best purchases ever! I was lucky to purchase it when it came with the eyeliners. Though the brush seem to be of great quality, the liners are so awesome and whiskey isn't sold regularly. The shadows are of great quality even though there could be some fallouts if it isn't applied with the right techniques. The colors are really pigmented and sooo smooth, that alone makes it worth the purchase. The packaging is alright, not my favorite type but it has it purpose and it has a lot of shadow packed in there.
This product is HIGHLY overrated. You can make these looks with other brands and other eyeshadows. It has nice packaging so you get all your colors in one spot - but let's expand our knowledge base a little and get creative shall we? The glitterbombs as previously mentioned in this comment below me - yeah, I don't like those either. Overall it's versatile, and if I put it on light it's great for work and if I put it on dark its great for going out. No big deal, great palette, too much hype.
Edit: for those voting unhelpful on my review: really? Is it really unhelpful to you or do you just disagree? If you like the product, great, I'm glad if works for you. But someone having a different opinion than you about a product and expressing it isn't unhelpful lol. Okay just wanted to get that out there.
I do not like being in the minority as far as not liking this product goes. I really, really wanted to like this product. I was on a waiting list at Sephora for 6 months to get it. When it came in, I went right in and gladly shelled out the 50something bucks. (I have the newer, slightly more expensive version, which comes with a brush instead of the eyeliner). The brush ended up being the one thing in it that made me not completely regret purchasing it. I like UDPP too, but did not need another one. Anyway, the palette itself: highly overrated. Here's why: it's a mess. Every "look" I've tried with this ends up looking the same because all the colors blend together. Also, as usual, there are a few eyeshadows in here, in typical Urban Decay fashion, that are straight-up glitterbombs. There are only two matte shades, and they are nothing special or unique. That's the thing about this palette as a whole: NONE of the colors are special or unique. If you have a good amount of eyeshadow, and you like neutrals, you already have these colors. You already have BETTER versions of these colors. I have a Sonia Kashuk duo from Target that has a better combo of neutral shades, with better pigmentation. Usually I find UD's eyeshadows to be smooth and well pigmented... these I just find have too much fall-out and are, as a whole, too glittery. The one cool thing (besides the brush and UDPP) is the packaging. It definitely looks nice. If you want your eyes to be a blurry brownish glittery mess... here you go. I'm sorry I couldn't like this, I feel bad returning it (as I usually do when I am this dissatisfied with a product) as it was so hard to obtain. So I will probably have to get rid of it some other way. Sigh.
I got the last one off the shelf at my local Sephora today. I have been waiting quite awhile to get it and when I saw it was almost out of reach again, I decided to buy it.
On the way home, I opened it and was disappointed at what I saw. Why is that? Because I recently purchased two customized Inglot Freedom System palettes online and they put all other palettes I have (and I have a lot) to absolute shame in pigmentation, price and product amount.
My 10-color Inglot palette was $50.00 and I got to choose the shades and formulas. Each shadow was $4.50 and the awesome magnetic palette was discounted to $5.00. Shipping was a bit costly at $9.00, but well worth it for the quality of the products. I bought another 5-color palette after I received the first one. It stacks magnetically on top of the other 10-well palette for easy storage.
I waited three months on a waiting list at Ulta to get this eye shadow palette and it was worth the wait! Both Sephora an Ulta could not keep this in stock. The colors are super pigmented but the shades are so neutral that you can almost bare - or build it into some fabulous blends. I'm gonna get another one!
