MAC's Studio Finish Concealer comes in a tiny pot which makes it easy to carry in your makeup bag.
The concealer at first I thought was too expensive, but I heard good reviews about it and bought it, now its been 5 years since I've been using it! The tiny pot lasts forever, I use this concealer almost everyday, and it has lasted over a year- so the price was worth it!
The product is thick, a little does a lot, and can be applied smoothly with your fingers or with a concealer brush. It best to apply a moisturizer/primer before hand since the product can be cakey and may dry you out a bit.
The coverage is amazing, you can cover the darkest under eye circles, redness and blemishes... everything vanishes!
Overall, its the best concealer I've ever used!
I like this concealer, I own it in NW20 color, and I am mostly using it to cover occasional red spots and blemishes.
I don't use it in the area under my eyes, it is too heavy.
Edited: I liked Clinique All About Eyes Concealer more, than I ordered a concealing palette from Ebay and ended with too many concealers. I gave this one to my sister - I am still looking for better under eye concealers.
A very good concealer especially for dark circles. I apply it with a wet sponge and it really covers it all without looking like you have a lot of make up on.
This is by far my favorite concealer I have ever used! It can cover anything, especially blemishes and darkness under the eyes...It lasts months!!
This is def the BEST concealer i've ever used! for the past 6 months i've been using makeupforever lift concealer and it's horrible, so dont any of ya'll buy it! lol.....i'm never disappointed w/ MAC! :)
Concealer I have been using for years now; just wanted to hop on and give it a formal review. Its not too creamy, not too drying. Coverage is full, so blend well. It lasts all day. For the record I use this exclusively as a face concealer and have constantly been on the hunt for the perfect under-eye concealer. I've never tried this as an under-eye concealer so I can't judge it by that. [EDIT 3/04/09: I'm not sure why, but this definitely makes my skin look like its flaking where I put it and it didn't used to do that before. It is really, really old though (1.5 years), so I think that this might be "expired." I want to try Select Cover-Up now though.]
It's the only thing thick enough & yellow enough to cover the dark blue veins under my eyes!!!
It's a little expensive, and I'm not a fan of MAC in general, but this is for sure a keeper
I purchased two of this concealer - one in NW for my horrible dark under eye circles and one NC for blemishes and redness. While the coverage is fantastic it does tend to get dry and look cakey if too much is applied. What I do is: for under eyes I dab my brush with some of Smashbox's Photo OP under eye brightener and mix it with the concealer; for blemishes/redness I spray some fix+ on a clean paper towel and swipe my brush on it a couple of times then mix the somewhat damp brush on the concealer. This has helped me a lot in preventing that dry/cakey looking finish to it. For a heavier coverage tho (normally just on my under eyes) I use my warm ring finger with some moisturizer already rubbed on my hands - I get a nice heavier coverage this way (from those nights when I barely get sleep) without the cakiness.
I find that it settles into fine lines, but most concealers do - this settles less than most for me when I top it off with some loose/pressed powder using a fluffy eye shadow brush. This works best on my under eye area than the new Studio Sculpt Concealer.
I have been using this concealer forever...it's amazing!!! I have very oily acne prone skin and it works wonders to make my skin look flawless especially on my acne scars. It blends very well without looking cakey. Modelling agencies and Stars actually use this to cover up tatoos its that good on the coverage. I bought the one im using now about 9 months ago and im still not through it. It lasts forever so the $17 or $18 I paid for it goes a long way so I don't find that expensive at all! I forgot to mention I use a ton of it every morning because I have a lot of blemishes to cover up and it still lasts me forever. The packaging is great it is small and compact and has a flip lid. Very durable packing especially when you are like me and drop things all the time. It is very strong plastic...just like the eyeshadows :) I recommend this product to everyone and every type of skin type it will work for you. I recommend using a concealer brush to apply a small amount, you don't need much, and then blend gently with your finger. You will be pleased! :)
I used this for years when I had a lot of acne problems. It did a really great job of covering up my red spots and the big zits!
Now, I find myself using it sparingly along the inner rim of my eye (next to my nose) where the dark shadows hide. I wouldn't recommend putting it underneath your eyes, because it's really thick and it cakes up easily in that area--for me anyway. Also, it's not very pliable so I am always tempted to pull on that delicate skin too hard.
It's fantastic as an Acne/Scar coverup and I highly recommend it for that! I found that it works well under most powders and foundations too!
**Since it's in pot, I like to apply it with a concealer brush so that I don't contaminate the container if I'm covering a breakout. I always wash my concealer brush with antibacterial soap after each use.**
