I was really excited about this product...but I was really let down! It went on really smoothly and had decent coverage, but not great. My biggest complaint is that is didn't hold up well throughout the day. About halfway through the day I felt I looked shiny - which I usually don't have a problem with. The packaging is nice, and it will last you a long time...but I didn't think it was worth the price.
I love this foundation. Covers my existing acne scars..smooths over any current pimples..stays on all day when set with the MUF HD powder. I use it over the Smashox Photo Primer. The combo is amazing. I wear 127 Dark Sand. I pray they never discontinue
I needed to redo my review on this foundation cause boy was I wrong! I LOVE IT! It was my fault that I didnt like it before cause I was not applying it right! Its all in the application and you def do NOT need a lot of this foundation which is something that I am not used to and the reason that I gave such a poor review for it before.
I am going to tell you how I have found it to be applied the best. I use a standard foundation brush like the MAC or Sigma 190 flat regular plain old foundation brush that sat in my brush holder with no purpose. Previously I was using the MAC 130 and that is not the brush for this foundation at all as it is too thin of a foundation for any stippling brush no matter the kind. So yeah I lightly moisturize then if I feel the need to I use a primer (most days I dont and it still lasts VERY well) then I take my standard foundation brush and just dip the tip in the foundation and start at the inner most part of my face being the nose and work my way out. I maybe use 1 pump if that. I am working on a sample now but have a full new bottle to go thru after I am done with the sample. So I dip the tip in and work my way out. I dont need a ton of coverage on the cheeks or forehead so I just do those areas lightly and I need FULL coverage on the chin as I have A LOT of issues there that I cant seem to get rid of but I have dry areas from pimple medication and this foundation does NOT stick around it like a lot of others do. I do about 2-3 coats on my chin and 1 everywhere else so with that being said this foundation is VERY buildable! That is amazing to me cause most other foundations get very cakey when you do that.
This foundation is a full coverage foundation for sure. The color match (i am in 115) is PERFECT I mean PERFECT I couldnt get anything better it looks like my own skin and that was a HUGE selling point for me because I like a foundation to look natural yet cover what I need covered.
I can wear this foundation thru the heat (we are having a heat wave here in PA so it has been put to the test) and still at the end of the night when I got to take it off there is a lot on my makeup wipe.
I also want to add that this the the ONLY foundation that I own that I do NOT need to powder my whole face! I just powder the t zone cause thats where I get oily! That is saying a lot!
So I will sum this all up
1. A little goes a long way! Less is more in this case
2. It looks like your own skin and they have MANY colors to offer
3. It is so easy to apply once you get it down with the amount you need
4. It lasts all day!
5. I dont need a lot of powder
6. It is FULL COVERAGE
7. Yes it is expensive but it lasts a long time and it is the best foundation for me so I am willing to pay that
8. It has not broken me out at all and actually I feel like some of the areas where I have black and white heads on my chin are actually getting better cause I am not having to cake on a massive amount of foundation to cover it
9. It feels so light on the skin like you have nothing on.
10. It set like a dream thats why there is no need for a powder unless u need it for the tzone or have extremely oily skin
If you are wondering about it just try it out ask for a sample at Sephora cause I am so glad that I did and kept working with it cause this is my HG foundation and I will buy it over and over forever and ever.

I'm not the type of person to fork over $46 bucks (in Canada) for a foundation. I have combination skin that is also acne prone and I have a very difficult time finding a full coverage foundation that isn't cakey of heavy. THIS foundation is lightweight but gives you great full coverage that is buildable. When I read that other review that said it was "natural looking" prior to purchasing, I didn't think too much of it but I definitely agree now that I've used it for more than a month. It's not like very dewy but not matte.. it looks just like skin. This foundation works good with or without primer but primer is always helpful to fill in lines and have a smoother application. I just wish it wasn't so expensive, and the pump is pretty good but you get the best controlling pump from the Revlon PhotoReady Foundation. Despite the price, I would buy it again. :)
I have my HG drugstore foundation when I can't afford this or when I want to make this last as long as possible but HD is definitely my all time favorite foundation. The shade I wear is 155. I know it's expensive but this is the best of the best and so worth every penny. I actually did a lot of research on the best foundation before I bought this. It provides medium to almost full coverage. With other foundations you might need a lot to give a good coverage, but with this it's so pigmented that I only need a pea size or just one pump. Not having to continuously layer foundation to get a good coverage greatly reduces the risk of cakey looking makeup and HD does exactly this. My skin looks AMAZING whether it's in pictures and just on a normal day. I love my MUFE HD =D
In love with this - I am getting married in October of this year and I love my Chanel makeup - but I still found myself wanting a more flawless finish - I switched back to my mufe and I am beyond satisfied - it completely gives me that flawless finish with little to no effort. I use my big Louis Young foundation brush and voila - instant perfection, and I'm my own worst critic and always find flaws, I now enjoy seeing this radiant finish!!! For reference my color is 120
Repurchased this 3 times. I used to have bad acne and I used up my first bottle of this really quickly. I'd put two layers of this on my poor face with a foundation brush. With the help of my dermatologist (if you have acne, I urge you to find a good dermatologist) and now use half a pump for one application. I only cover problem areas, not my entire face. I don't find the price to be too expensive now since a bottle lasts quite a while.
Pros: My skin is quite finicky so I'm glad that this foundation doesn't aggravate it. I have eczema AND acne (difficult to care for!). I am shade 123, which matches perfectly! I'm Asian, tan (live in Hawaii) and am NC 35-40. Packaging is hygienic, but I sometimes waste foundation because one pump is too much. Looks very natural, no white cast in photos thanks to the lack of sunscreen (I use sunscreen moisturizer underneath).
Cons: Medium coverage, so you'll have to use concealer on top. Oily! Melts off easily :( but I will keep repurchasing since it doesn't have ingredients that aggravate my sensitive skin and is a great color. The oiliness is manageable as long as I put my trusty MAC blot powder over it. So if you find this foundation oily, try that. Hope this helps!!!
I hate the fact that I spent so much money on this! This is not any better than others I have tried at the drugstore. I will say that when I first applied this it looked amazing on my skin and I thought that I had finally found the "perfect" foundation. After about an hour I started to look shiny which drives me nuts! I would say that this isn't a great choice if you have oily skin. I have combination skin, but this made my forehead look like an oil slick (yuck!) Once the weather started getting warmer and more humid where I live it also made my chin break out like crazy...thank goodness I was down to the last few uses when that happened because I was bound and determined to finish this up after I spent so much on it!
Oh man, I despise this foundation.
I was given this by a friend who had bought the wrong colour.
On the bright side, I love the pump pack and I love applying this. It glides on like a moisturiser.
HOWEVER, this sinks into every single pore I have. I have found pores I did not know existed until I used this foundation.
And it does not last on my skin. Within 2-3 hours of applying this, it has disappeared. Oh, except for my pores, where it happily sits all day.
I so wish this had worked for me because, on my friend, it looks spectacular. So I know it can work, just not for me. :-(
I LOVE this foundation. I have very sensitive skin and had been wearing nothing but powdered mineral foundations for years. Sadly, mineral foundations tend to make my skin drier than normal and it is VERY hard for me to find one that matches my blue-white skin. I'm also somewhat sensitive to bismuth and this limits my options even more.
I finally tried this and was delighted. This product didn't irritate my skin at all. The only thing I didn't love was applying it. It is very hard to get this foundation blended well enough to please me as I prefer a natural look. Then, on the recommendation I found online, I tried mixing it half and half with my favorite day cream and applying it as a tinted moisturizer. Eureka! Makeup perfection had been achieved. I now had a perfect, high-SPF, gorgeous tinted moisturizer that went on like a dream and lasted all day.
That said, I don't think that this foundation would work well for someone with oily skin. It seems far to creamy for that. I think that it would work better for someone whose skin was dry, normal, or combination.
I also wanted to say that this is a foundation that you really need to try on before purchasing as each level comes different tones and MUFE does a horrible job explaining this. For reference, I wear 110 (Pink Porcelain).
