I got this cheaply with a coupon printed as CVS. I like the packaging and I love the applicator but, ever since I've been using this seems like my lash line has been a little irritated and itchy but, im not sure if it's this product causing it. The reason I'm throwing this away is it has absolutely NO staying power on my lids. I can rub my finger over this and it will be gone. It flakes and smudges and turns me into a racoon by lunch. I'll stick with Revlon's liquid liner it actually stays put even through a cry.
I read some of the reviews of this product, and a lot of people claim that it stings their eyes. I gotta tell you, the first time I used this eyeliner, I did feel an odd sensation, kind of like when you're getting your hair colored and fumes get near your eyes, you know, that kind of stinging? It wasn't anything particularly annoying, I didn't close my eyes to avoid the stinging. But it's never happened since! Just the first time I opened and used it.
Anyway...this stuff works! I like the pointy applicator, it draws very nicely. And the formula DOES NOT BUDGE once you get it on your lids. In fact, if you're an eyeliner klutz like I am, be ready with a qtip and some makeup remover, 'cause you're gonna need it. If you get any stray dottings, you ain't getting it off without makeup remover. Also, if you suck at eyeliner like I do, be prepared to practice, practice, practice with this stuff. Like I said, it's not very forgiving to mistakes.
The first time burning is odd, isn't it? I'd probably buy it again, still. The lasting power is truly awesome. Wish it weren't quite so pricey, though.
I only apply this on my top lids and I love this. It does go on thick, but I don't mind. For me, this has not smudged at all. This is the one liquid eyeliner that I continue to buy. And the little bottle lasts me for months. This is one of my faves!
A friend gave me this liquid eyeliner after complaining she didn't like it. I found it pretty good, though. one of the main reasons I liked it was what most would consider a con. It wasn't black! When it dried, it was a very dark blue on me, but I liked that because I have fair skin and black can be harsh so it was more flattering. The brush wasn't very precise, but I was still able to get nice lines. It never flaked or smudged, but was very easy to take off at night!
i would definitely buy this product again...iiiif it didn't burn. XP the first time i applied it i loved it. it made a very nice line and didn't crack. stayed nice and smooth until i took it off. and when i wanted to take it off, it came off easily. i would LOVE to give this product a five, but i just can't. the third time i put it on, it burned my lids really bad. i had to wash it off right away. i'm afraid to wear it again. sucks. oh well i guess. maybe my skin is too sensitive for this product?
Stingy. Thin. Dried to a powder black, after I applied three layer because of the thinness, instead of a true black which is what I look for in a liquid. Very disappointed. Somebody suggested that this was a HG product, I BEG to differ.
Honestly, this isn't that great.
> very black
> easy to glide on
> fairly good price
> brush is not that thin
> smudges easily
Holy crap Batman this burned when I applied. I went with the glowing reviews given by Paula from Paula's Choice cosmetics. Yikes. I admit that I have ultra-sensitive, combination skin but this was a painful adventure from start to finish. Bummer. I was looking forward to trying a liquid eyeliner for the first time due to pencils not working for me. I have sensitive yet oily eyelids and they become an unholy mess by noon with pencil applications. I guess it's back to the drawing board for me.
This was the first liquid eyeliner I used, and naturally, since I had nothing to compare this to, I just thought this was the best.
Some pros and cons:
-easy to apply
-packaging's not that appealing
-flakes onto my face
All in all, the pros just don't outweigh the cons for me. I will not be purchasing this again .
I use this everyday and have to say it's my favorite liquid eyeliner that I've used! The application took a little bit of getting used to, but after I did get used to it, I loved it! It's easy to create a thinner line or a thick line! Great price for a great product!
EDIT: Knocking this down to four lippies because I realized after using this product for a while and then switching to L'Oreal Lineur Intense liquid liner, just how watery this liner is. Not the biggest fan anymore.
