When I first smelled this lotion I really wasn't too impressed with it, thankfully I decided to try it on anyway and that is when I fell in love!
I love the scent of this lotion, it has a very pretty slightly sweet smell that lingers in a very nice non-sickening way.
The only thing I can say that I don't like about this product is that the cream is a bit thick for my very sensitive skin, although luckily I have not had an allergic reaction to it :)

I love the scent of this.
Love the pretty bottle.
BUT, it's the *only* lotion I've ever used that made my skin itch on contact. I bought some of the body cream before and had to return it because my skin wouldn't stop itching. Recently I re-tried it in lotion form. Just rubbed a drop between my hands and walked around the mall. By the time I got 2 stores down my hands felt like there were ants crawling under the skin and I looked like a shoplifter the way I couldn't stop scratching my hands.

I won't purchase this again.

i always come back to this scent. my boyfriend and all my friends love it. one of my friends says everytime she smells it, it reminds her of me. i do agree it does smell at little bit grandmotherly when smelling it straight from the bottle, but once applied the scent changes and it smells wonderful.

I do not understand the popularity of this scent. People rave about this but I have tried it numerous times and I just do not see the appeal at ALL! I agree with the previous posts that states that it smells grandmotherly. There are so many BBW scents that are so much better to me, such as Magnolia Blossom, for example.

What a wonderful scent!! I usually am not very big on BBW heavily scented products, but this one is very nice!! When I use the lotion just on my hands it doesn't compete with my perfume and the scent is pretty and fresh, but not like the strong "fresh smells" they make.

I love this scent. Its great for everyday and even the lotion has great staying power. This is for sure one of the best BBW scents out there!!!

This is my favorite Bath and Body scent! It is really strong, so I do not even need to wear the spray over it and wear it strictly for the scent; not for moisturizing. I actually dilute it a bit with my regular everyday lotion and apply right after the shower. As far as a lotion though, it is o.k. It's not sticky, just o.k.

I should start by saying that, in general, I dislike many of Bath and Body Work's scents, especially in the lotion form. I find many of the scents busy, synthetic, and cloying, while I find that many of the lotions leave my hands feeling sticky and dirty.

Not so with Japanese Cherry Blossom! JCB is, by far, one of the nicest scents I've ever tried. The lotion itself absorbs quickly without leaving my skin one bit greasy or sticky. I'm really not a fan of heavy or floral scents, often passing up traditional perfumes for more masculine or unisex scents. When I wear JCB, I feel like I'm going for a walk on a sunny day in spring as the sakura trees are shooting into colorful bloom. The supporting notes are fresh, green, and a bit spicy, which compliments the delicate scent of the blossoms rather than competeing or overpowering. This makes an excellent layering lotion for any sandalwood, nag champa, or rice scents you own. The notes are as follows:

Top Notes: Asian Pear, Fuji Apple and Ume Plumb

Mid Notes: Japanese Cherry Blossom, Butterfly Lily, Kyoto Rose, Mimosa Petals and Hedione

Base Notes: Vanilla Rice, Imperial Amber, Silk Musk, Cinnamon Incense, Himalayan Cedarwood, and Sandalwood continued >>

This smell definitely lasts! I'm so impressed that this lotion has the staying power of parfum. It definitely smells more mature, so not really for a young girl. But mature fragrances are great! i really do think it smells beautiful

Smells like a grandmother. I can't understand the appeal of this one to anyone under 60 years old. Granted, I'm usually drawn to more fruity, fresh scents, but, still... ick.
