This has to be one of the most gentle cleansers I have ever used. I love how it doesn't dry out my face :) One thing I did notice was that it doesn't take makeup off so I use it at night and right in the morning only. Gentle and effective, I would definitely recommend it to everyone with any skin-type. It doesn't get rid of acne or anything, not even the occasional pimple, but, it's gentle and it gets rid of excess oil :) Great product!

I like this cleanser. I use it every morning to gently wash my face with it and by itself. And I also use it at night whenever I use my clarisonic mia. I like how its dermatologist recommended and has no perfume smell to it. Its very gentle to my, does not cause any irritation from the years I have used it. It comes out as a clear gel, not to sticky. The packaging is really easy and sanitary. Just a standard pump bottle. Its main goal is to simply clean your face with causing irritation and strpping away all the essential oils on the face. Does not cure any of my acne scarring but I do really enjoy using this product.

I have acne prone, oily, combination skin.
I love Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. It doesn't make my acne worst, my skin gets better, it takes time, doesn't work fast. It doesn't make my skin dry. My skin feels really clean and soft after using it. It works really well. I highly recommend this cleanser!

this cleanser feels smooth and moisturizing leaving my face soft and fresh...but i am only am able to use this cleanser on days i dont wear any make up...when i try to cleanse my face with this over my make up i just seem to struggle too much to get it all completely off since this is more like a watery lotion kind of cleanser.....so i actually use Clean & Clear Oil-Free Foaming Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin when i am wearing make up...it is the only other cleanser gentle enough for my very sensative skin and removes my make up completely without leaving me super dry skin....almost everything irritates me and drys my skin out and these two cleansers are the one for me..... continued >>

I have been using my giant bottle of Cetaphil sporadically since the summer but have started using it 'properly' twice a day since Christmas when I decided my new years resolution would be to get my skin back under control and feel comfortable enough to go mu free!
I wanted to try the acne.org regimen but since I can't find BP in the UK I am having to make it my own way and so far so GREAT; skin is glowing and even my problem chin is calm (although it does still have to go through the monthly hormone attack). My routine is
Morning: Wash with cetaphil, tone with Origins 'a perfect world', moisturise face with Nip+Fab moisture fix and eyes with Clinique All about eyes rollerball.
Night:Wash with cetaphil, tone with Clinique Step 2 of the Acne system, moisturise face with Nip+Fab moisture fix and eyes with Clinique All about eyes rollerball.

As a facewash (with water):
This product is brilliant, with 2 washes it takes off all mu and leaves skin soft and glowy.
As a dry facewash (no water):
It's still good but leaves a 'film' on my skin that I just can't wait to wash off.

If it keeps up like this I will definitely be repurchasing!

A simple cleanser for the face that does a great job pf grtting you face clean, I use it with my facial scrub brush and it really feels good wih that, especially after a long day. It doesnt strip my skin of oils, but gets the dirt andmpollutants out of my face. Will be buying again.

I have really dry skin and not only that, I have keratosis pilaris (chicken skin) on my legs and upper arms. I use this product as a substitute for a body wash since I've found that this product helps moisturize my skin the best when compared to all the many other body washes I previously tried. There's not a strong smell to this Cetaphil product and that's ok with me because I like simple products.

Age: 19-24 Skin: Sensitive, Fair-Medium, Not Sure Hair: Black, Straight, Medium Eyes: Brown

pros:
+ cleanses gently
+ does not dry my skin out
+ does not break me out

cons:
- contains sodium lauryl sulfate
- contains parabens
- if applied thickly, my skin feels a stinging/burning sensation

i am currently using physiogel cleanser in lieu of this; i might alternate that with this
EDIT: I currently prefer this over the physiogel cleanser mainly because the texture is easier to work with and over all, the ingredient list seem safer for long-term use

I bought a small trial size bottle for about $4 to try out this cleanser.

Pros
- really gentle
- no scent
- didn't cause me to break out

Cons
- doesn't quite remove make up
- not expensive
- CHEMICALS!

I tried it for three days and initially quite liked it. I used it with my clarisonic mia at night after removing all my make up with make up remover and it felt quite nice. It didn't cause me to break out, it didn't strip away all the oil from my face. Overall it is quite a gentle cleanser. However, after some research, I realized aside from the water, all of the 7 other ingredients are quite harmful. Some of the ingredients apparently are carcinogenic!

I'm having second thoughts on this cleanser, and I have not quite decided whether I would purchase a full sized version. Such a shame, because before realizing what kind of harmful chemicals there are in it, I was quite liking it.
