I hate this top coat. As a top coat itself it works fine; it keeps my polish shiny and helps it to chip less. Sadly it doesn't dry fast, it dries in about two hours. Sorry OPI, I don't have time to wait for my top coat to dry. And I hate how they package this with everything! I did get it for free, and if I had spent money on it I would have been really angry. Don't buy this, try one of OPI's other top coats.

I love OPI polishes, so I was very disappointed when I tried their top coat. I too received this free (w/$17 or more OPI purchase at Ulta) and im so glad I didn't spend any money on it!

First of all, it takes forever to dry =( Second, my nailpolish chipped after 2 days (which it never did with my usual topcoat).

Then I decided to conduct a little experiment: I used 2 coats of polish, and on my left hand I put my usual Sally Hansen Salon 10day top coat, on my right I used OPI topcoat. The VERY NEXT DAY, I could already tell the difference: my Sally Hansen side kept my color shiny & vibrant, while my OPI side was completely flat & dull. To make sure I wasn't seeing things, I asked my husband (who is a typical guy that knows nothing about nails) if he noticed any difference between my two hands. He said, 'Yup, I see on one hand you kept it shiny and the other one is matte.'

Needless to say, that was my dealbreaker. Never going to repurchase this again. continued >>

I received this as a free gift with purchase of two or more OPI polishes at Ulta, and I have to say that I really, really like it. I normally would not have purchased it on my own because I have top coats that I like, and I see no reason to try something new if I have something that works really well for me. This, however, works just as well with very little price difference. The only thing that would make me buy this again is that it prevents chipping a lot better than my other top coats (I've used Sally Hansen, Seche Vite, Orly Won't Chip). It kept my nails looking nice for about a week with no chipping whatsoever. The shine does dull a bit after a few days, but for me that isn't really a big deal. Overall, this is a really good top coat for a good price, and it really stays on your nails. It is just what one would expect from OPI.

My manicure peeled and chipped after two days. It dries rather slowly and this topcoat also got pretty sticky mid-bottle. Although it gave good shine, I would not repurchase this as it does not wear well.

OPI's Top Coat is a great product, IMO. It applies smoothly without bubbles and dries VERY quickly (but not so quickly that you can't paint at an average pace). It dries to a high shine and stays that way for five to six days. I didn't have any problems with chipping or peeling after six days of wear. I normally use a Sally Hansen top coat as my HG but would also use (and buy again) OPI's Top Coat.

EDIT: I've knocked off 1 lippie down to 2 lippies because this product seems to get very thick very quickly. I am only 1/4 through this bottle and it's to the point where I need to thin it. With my Sally Hansen TopShine it didn't start to get thick until 3/4 of the way gone. Therefore, I am going back to SH and won't be spending the extra $ on this OPI topcoat.

I'm surprised about the reviews on this, I've gone through about three bottles of the top coat and I have never once had it start to peel.

For me it goes on shiny, fixes any imperfections, and keeps whatever I put on looking nice for days. Absolutely love this product.

This top coat is pretty terrible. It is incredibly slow-drying, and the shine it gives does not last for more than a day or so. I found myself reapplying the top coat every morning just to get my mani to look decent. Not cool. It does get goopy about half way through the bottle, but a few drops of Seche Restore fixes that issue. It's nice for swatching, but if you're planning on keeping your polish on for more than a few hours, this is not the top coat to purchase.
