Gives good coverage and I like the color selection, but this made me break out in horrible cystic acne.

I don't get why this product has such a low rating..i replaced my MAC Studio Fix foundation with this one & i love it! Usually buy it during BOGO sales- 2 for the price of 1! : D

Update: I prefer the Revlon PhotoReady foundation to this one continued >>

This foundation looked good on my skin and matched well, but for some reason my skin had a bad reaction to it, and I don't have sensitive skin. I don't know whats in it that made my skin react like that, but I will definitely not be buying it again.

I feel compelled to write a review for this product as I think application method is everything. I've had this compact for several months now - it has been doing little more than collecting dust in my stash. Upon purchase, I applied it with a sponge and was less than thrilled with the results. Coverage was heavy, looked mask-like and seemed to make my face look greasier and greasier as the day wore on. It quickly found its way into the reject pile. Fast-forward a few months and I have found myself in the midst of a huge make-up revelation: foundations with Cyclopentasiloxane have been wreaking havoc on my skin. Thank you NARS Sheer Glow for showing me the truth (heartbreakingly beautiful finish but poison for those sensitive to volatile silicones). Now, try finding a cyclopentasiloxane-free foundation in this day and age is getting more and more difficult. That s*@$ is everywhere! Noticing that this compact foundation lacks that noxious ingredient, I decided to give it another go. This time I was a little more patient and experimented with application method. I disliked the finish when using dry sponge & damp sponge, or a foundation brush. I've had good results using simply my fingers. BUT, when I apply this with a stippling brush like the Mac 187, this stuff is like perfect skin in a compact.

Here's the trick: when using the 187 (dry) and buffing into your skin, it looks like you are putting absolutely nothing on your face. Really, you can't tell you're getting any coverage at all. The first time I did this I applied waaaayyy too much. Now, I just brush/ stipple it all over my face lightly and try to trust in the process. It still looks like no foundation is actually sticking to my skin, but when I take a step back and look in the mirror, my skin looks flawless! It seems to look even better as the foundation mixes with your own skin oils. The 187 applies very sheer coverage and it looks incredibly natural while evening out all my problem areas. The best part is, this foundation looks as good at the end of the day as it did freshly applied. The longevity is amazing. I truly think anyone that dislikes this foundation should try this application - I think the sponge simply deposits too much color and leaves one prone to cakey-ness.

Now, my list of "Pros" for this product is growing daily:
- very affordable
- widely available
- great color selection (I have perfect match in W3)
- super quick to apply
- stays on all day
- no breakouts
- makes my skin look practically perfect

I dare say, I am liking this even better than my previous cylopentasiloxane-free HG - the $46/ bottle Diorskin Nude. I hope L'Oreal keeps this one in production for years to come! continued >>

The bogo at walgreens and the super chic packageing reeled me in. I could just as well put vegetable shortening on my face if I was looking for a heavy unbreathable feel. On the other hand the powder was excellent. Ill stick with my cover girl.

This is a wonderful foundation!!! As one reviewer said, it is like liquid velvet in a way. I have UNBELIEVABLY dry skin and this stuff looks nice on it...it is super super blendable, just like the name...coverage is great, I like the packaging, and the shade is like the EXACT color of my skin (W6). I'm so happy with it! I used to used CG Aquasmooth and Advanced Radiance creme/compact foundations and this is better b/c the finish is more powder like so i don't reallly need to use a powder over it which can get cakey. Even though it is more powder-like finish, it doesn't make my skin look dry/patchy. You will love this!! I only hope they don't discontinue like ever other product I've ever loved!

I have had this foundation for 2-3 months and during the summer months I regretted ever buying it because it was terrible at controlling my oily t-zone. I chucked it aside and haven't tried it again until last week when my skin became super dry. Now that it's fall, my skin got dry and I can't seem to make my mineral foundation or liquid foundation work. Luckily, I thought of this little cream foundation I had tucked away and tried it on to see if it helps. To my surprised, it looks and feels so natural on my skin this time around. The key here was that I used my fingers to apply instead of a sponge or brush. I liked how my fingers warmed up the cream and made blending effortless. It was like liquid velvet--I can't explain. This is my current favourite foundation for it has solved my dry skin problem. To its merit I also think the colour selection is quite wide and universal.Thank goodness I saved this product and decided to give it a second chance. Lesson of the day: Keep a product you dislike around for a couple of months before chucking it out because you may find it appealing one day.

I got this on sale for a couple of dollars at Target so I didnt really know what to expect.Anytime I buy foundation I usually end up with the wrong shade.I have the True Match foundation and it was okay so I figured this would be pretty good too.The only shade they had was Warm 1 so I got it.It was only three dollars so why not? I wouldn't wear this by itself.I use this and concealer and it makes my skin look great.I thought the shade would be to light but it wasn't,it matches my skin pretty good.

This is the first compact makeup I've tried that doesn't make my face look caked or dried. For that reason alone, I have to give this a 5.

I only like to use a very minimal amount to set my foundation in, and it works great for that! Also, I think it works really well for quick touch-ups. It's easy to blend, it matches my skin tone really well, and I really love the packaging. Great product!

I'm a complete sucker for cute packaging...and that is why I bought this. I bought this in N4...even though N3 seemed like it would be my perfect match. I had a hunch this foundation would run a little darker and I was right! There's a very thin layer at the top that looks darker, but once you dip your brush/sponge in, the rest looks lighter. So my advice would be: find the color that seems like it would be your match, and then get the next one up. So application...it was a little tricky, since I'm a beginner to cream foundation. I used a foundation brush, since I HATE using the included sponge applicators (breeding ground for bacteria...gross!). Be sure to blend well to avoid looking cakey...and then apply a setting powder or mineral veil for best results. This is an okay product: not bad but definitely not stellar. I don't regret trying it out, but I have to say that it is one that I could live without. Don't think I would repurchase.

EDIT 1/24/2012:
Changed from 3 lippies to 4! I changed my method of applying this and I like it way better now. :) Instead of a foundation brush, I apply this with my Ecotools retractable kabuki and the result is a lot more even and flawless. The trick with this cream foundation is to BLEND, BLEND, BLEND and you need the right tools to do that. When applied correctly, this actually looks very nice and natural.
